Since Yamazaki is too crazy for this Orochi power to take him over, he's canonically the most powerful character in Fatal Fury or King of Fighters.

Still, there’s something to be said about his level of insanity if a godlike deity can’t control him. Still not someone you’d wanna fight no matter what style you know. Also, I think some of his special moves clearly show him using Orochi Power.
Terry has battled him in the kof timeline and won, so no, Rugal couldn't cointain the orochi power neither.
Disagreed. It's about strength of will, not strength in general. Calling him the strongest is like calling the Joker the smartest man in DC universe, which is not the case at all.

He keeps his right hand in his pocket cuz his pocket because his idol once praised the power of that particular fist, and only uses it for special techniques
I think it's because it has a knife and since weapons weren't allowed in the KOF tournament....

I like the fact that yamazaki and terry stole from each other's climax super, as now terry's buster ignition is like the final part of drill, and yamazaki smash the ground with a geyser similar or power geyser.
They make Yamazaki looked weak,the best one is in ff wild ambition,they toned down his craziness and sadistic in KOF XV

Level 2 - stomp and kick combination and then drill
Level 3 - headbutt repeatedly and drill
Level 4 - smash opponent face repeatedly on floor and drill
Level 5 - punches and drill
Level 3 and 4 in ff wild ambition is too hardcore and sadistic so they change to shitty one in KOF XV
If one drill is too powerful why it is need a second drill on level 4 in KOF XV?

One of the best and satisfying desperation/climax/finishing move in fighting games... and it's fun watching Yamazaki thrashing random items at his opponents, regardless of gender.

I didn't know the Wild Ambition's versions would define the ones in KOF XIV/XV... like the double snake punches.
I still believe nothing is more fun than smacking some random item on someone's head like a swordfish or an Athena billboard.

A stomp and punch combo
A kick & headbutt combo
A headbutt combo
Yamazaki slamming an object on top of the opponent
A Serpent Slash combo
A Bai Gaeshi projectile barrage
A kick and knife slash flurry
and finish with his energetic drill punch.

It is indeed great, yamazaki is my fav villian from the series, his insanity and fighting style are savage and this move proves it

In my book yamazaki is the most powerful character and my favorite character
I love this crazy SOB. A bit of a trick and a half to use him properly but once you get it down to a science, you can really bust some heads with him. For me his best version was in KOF 98, but I really like the KOF 15 version of him. Pimpin out with that white overcoat while he beats the shit out of you.

I don't know why but I prefer Yamazaki's voice in Real Bout Fatal Fury.
He sounds insane (as always) but there are moments where he actually sounds sane, more like a troll than a crazy madman.

KOF XV > Everything else. With each new game, Yamazaki sounds less and less and even less hinged and sane. Older games just make him sound insecure and too tragic until RBFFS fixed that to make him sound crazy.

Trivia: Oro is Capcom's answer to Yamazaki. Yamazaki only uses one hand (mostly). But Oro has that lame excuse he's too powerful when using both hands. In SFV, the excuse is to hold a turtle.
But he's not as cool as Yamazaki.
