Kenshiro is the godfather of all punches.
Definitely no disagreements here...
I've fucking memorize and respect
Ken
Yeah we need to be gratefull for Hokuto no Ken for basically giving birth to fighting anime and manga.
For anyone wondering "wait isn't this a JoJo reference?" Fist of the North Star came out before JoJo and the rapid-fire fisticuffs you see in JoJo were inspired by Kenshiro's Hyakuretsu Ken.
In other words, JoJo is a Fist of the North Star reference.
You are right!
Hokuto no Ken, Dragon Ball and Kinnikuman are older than Jojos
Funny thing is...
Kenshiro's OG seiyuu (Akira Kamiya) also did the voice of Suguru Kinniku (Kinnikuman)
Jonathan Joestar is literally Kenshiro
Especially in the showdown at the castle from the outfit
Well yeah, any JoJo fan with a brain understands this. At this point however, JoJo uses the consecutive punches + repeated “cry” so much that it’s practically the owner of it, hence why people are probably saying “wait isn’t this just a JoJo reference?” Hell, the last quarter of the video is all from All Star Battle R. In some of these games, characters are straight up saying “Ora Ora Ora, Dorarara, etc. Street Fighter Seth’s barrage is straight up directly from Dio, Skull Girls’s Peacock uses Road Roller, so on and so forth. These are all straight from JoJo. However, you’re right, we do gotta put some credit on our boy Kenshiro’s name no matter what. A lot of these are direct FoTNS as well.
@@OhFrittata I can *_hear_* the sound of you pushing your glasses up on your nose.
@@CoralCopperHead Ummmm actually 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 I don’t wear glasses soooo 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
These Rapid Punches in Fighting Games will never get Old.
Mostly in Japanese fighting games lol
"AH-TATATATATA!!"
Respect to the OG, Kenshiro.
Hokuto no Ken, Dragon Ball and Kinnikuman, the pillars/grandfathers of the shonen genre.
They are older than Jojos.
Fun fact.
Kenshiro's original voice actor (Akira Kamiya) also did the voice of Suguru Kinniku (Kinnikuman)
But Dragon Ball had any rapid punches or kicks? They use both at the same time.
@@sirkinsella9831 DB had those rapid punch and kick exchanges but I don’t think it really focused on “ATATATATATATATATA” style attacks until Super
Dragon ball came out before jojo's bizarre adventure but dragon ball z comes after jojo's first release so the iconic version of dragon ball came after Jojo, og dragon ball is great but the Saiyan saga is where things kicked off and the style changed to what we know now and it came after Jojo,in fact just a year after, so yea
Saint seiya is contemporary with dub and also has punch barrages
@@theredandblueyakuzasaint seiya is still older than jojo
Little Mac, sheik, Mii brawler and min min also can do consecutive punches for their final smash
And Mii Brawler can also do consecutive punches for his neutral special.
@@lucassmith4137
Flashing Mach Punch is literally Zanretsuken.
I think this is for conventional fighting games
@@aweirdredtoad3637
Except he also included DK in Smash Ultimate.
Too bad Smash Isn't a fighting game.
Missing Def Jam Vendeeta..... Dabo still used quick fists as blazing🔥.
Man the first KOF13 one goes hard. That looks way more impactful than most.
No matter what SNK does most people will never appreciate them, the company brought a lot of mechanics and moves to the fighting game genre. It's because of f***n Americans that it's given the credit it deserves
6:16 Ah yes, Kim Dragon.
Not only he was inspired by Bruce Lee (in fact, he came before Fei Long and Liu Kang) but also by Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken.
Speaking of, in World Heroes there is a character called Zeus and he is just Raoh from HNK but blonde 😆
I would love to see some World Heroes characters in KOF XV
Also Zeus is inspired by Falco in Fist of the North star season 2.
Wasn't raoh blonde in the dark lord gaiden that showed his origins
@@theredandblueyakuzaHe does have blonde hair in the original manga, but the black hair makes him look better.
K-Dragon is definitely mi top tier favorite Bruce Lee character. He's 1 of the only few games that actually claims the original name of it's fighting style(Jeet Kune Do) & not simply calling it "martial arts"
@@aweirdredtoad3637 You are right about Raoh's colors in the original manga.
It is good to learn something new :)
Have a nice day
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat was a favorite of mine, so seeing that as his Ultimate Final Smash is really cool.
I can't forget Kenshiro, the original man, Dee Jay's from USFIV, Neco-Arc, Kung Lao's Brutality from MKX, Jonathan Joestar's Sunlight Yellow Overdrive.
You left out Heritage for the future, you know the Capcom jojo arcade fighting game, the one Seth's animations are actually referencing in sf5.
Bloody Roar... We will never forget you.
Kenshiro father and creator of hyakuretsu ken. He invented everything and was before everyone
I’m so glad the last part of the video is just All Star Battle R related
Another neat FotNS reference is in Mortal Kombat Deception. One of Li Mei's fatalities is literally Hokuto Hyakuertsu Ken. The opponent even blows up afterwards
I'm surprised you didn't add Marilyn, Inazuma (although EN-Eins Anastasis is currently at the arcades), Little Mac, Ms. Fortune and Wolverine in Marvel vs. Capcom.
But you did add Sonic Smackdown? That game reused animations from other games (mainly Fighting Games).
A staple of HnK by inventing it anf becomes a very common thing in fighting games and anime i general. So glad to see such respect
Classic japanese fighting games in general have inspirations in classic animes, and HNK was a big one at that time.
@@carlosaugusto9821 aye
Ver o Kenshiro descer o cacete no Sasuke, e enche lo de porrada foi a coisa mais gratificante que eu já vi!
Skkskssk
Looking forward to Kenshiro character creation in sf6
Heck yeah long made it into the list!
My stepfather has me watching hokuto no ken when I was little.
I stayed up all night watching most and some all series episode's.
was wondering where jojo would be until it came up and saw how long the chapter was
Just.
AAAAA TATATATATATATATATATATAT.
WUA TAAAAA!!!!
Missing:
Little Mac's Giga Mac Final Smash
Machamp in Pokken
Beast mode, baby!
AWESOME
There's a quite a few missing, but I guess because there are so many.
Kensou from KoF XIII had a superb one
Ah yes Jojo’s signature move. You save the best for last.
9:02
Pretty sure Satsuki has it in her Another Arc Drive in MBAACC
8:12 How The Spot (Marvel Comics) should fight if he’s ever in a Fighting Game.
@XiaoQuan You have done a marvelous job with this compilation but you forgot: Ryo Sakazaki from Art of Fighting & KoF series, Kung Lao from MK9 & MK10 and Vegeta from Dragonball FightersZ
man i didn't expect the NES version of TMNT Tournament Fighters to be included in this lol, I thought people forgot of that game (I still have fun with it sometimes esp. as either Casey or Shredder)
I like street fighter 6 moment❤
Ora ora ora/jba

Nice! You add long and shen long from bloody roar
4:36 jojo reference
ラッシュ系の技といえば、やっぱりジョジョは外せないよね。
And thanks for Kof Maximum impact, Power instinct and RB2
I respect that most of the jojo characters can commit to the bit and actually get to 100 hits. Shoutout to Jam in GG+R.
Final Fantasy 16 of all things references this in one of its moves, they absolutely know what they’re doing LOL
what happened to the old videos on the channel?
I remember several old compilations and they all disappeared
Some of these are also references to Mashiba from Ippo, for example Yamazakis wacky inflaitable tube arms.
Sethna in thumbnail ( and Jiren in DBFZ) do my favorite version: looking like they don't move as phantom arms punch EVERYTHING out of you!
Mezu from Kizuna Encounter, Leonardo from TMNT Tournament Fighters and Ukio Tachibana from Samurai Shodown IV (BUST versión) were missing.
Ukyo doesnt count because it's not a bare handed attack. For the same reason that Haohmaru's antiair is not technically a "shoryuken", because that literally means a jumping uppercut, so it must be done with bare hands to count. It's only called that way in community jargon for the sake of simplicity. In the community any jumping leg based antiairs are called shoryuken, like Cammy's or Adon's antiair.
I feel some of these are stretches but great compilation
How could you forget?! Pegasus RYUSEIKEEEEEN one hundred punches in one ! 😂
Saint Seiya never was popular. Also, distant attack.
I was thinking the same thing 🥲
@@dukkemonterier3429Not even if it was Sakigake Otokojuku...
Vanessa from The King of Fighters and Dudley from Street Fighter.
Leave it to the Jojo characters to actually hit the 100 (plus some) required to be a Hyakuretsu.
The compilation could go longer if there was no limitation to two hands just to be closer to the HNK/Kenshiro reference. There is a decent number of fg chars who are referencing that HNK punch but only do with one hand... Ryo, Takuma, Marco, Ralf, Clark, Adon, etc.
wow. this is comprehensive
4:35 uff referencia
Ora ora ora ora!
How are you not gonna include heritage for the future
The original is the best like I said I should kick version compilation, but I have soft spot for AOF/KOF variant.
It fits perfectly on seth, ehonda, gen from street fighter, & krizalid & yamazaki from kof
Hyakuretsu ken aka the Hundred Rending Fists FROM FIST OF THE NORTH STAR MOVE
🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
So, I wanted to point out in Strive Chipp also has a very fast flurry of punches with one of the coolest finishers there are and very on brand. Kinda wish he was mentioned here.
To me the only TK moves that should count are Jack's and Bryan's. The others have little to do with it. Also Leonardo's super from SNES TMNT TF should count for the reason that Shun'ei super from KOF 14 counted: in both cases a projectile and not their real hands.
5:19 How're you gonna include this but not Yumizuka's Arc Drive which is way better?
After playing 'Fight Fever', I have discovered another character who does that technique with both hands, Han Baedal.
One handed version soon?
I remember that Ryo Sakazaki's sanretsuken was ejecuted with both arms in the first Art of fighting game, but maybe I'm wrong. :P
In the first Art of Fighting it's one hand but later changed to two after that
Does Ryo Sakazaki have a version of Zanretsuken (lighting fast punches) that uses both arms? I dont remember now, i have a better memory of only Takuma and Marco. If not, that's sad. He's literally an Kenshiro reference, among other influences.
Machamp from Pokken Tournament also has a hyakuretsu
5:10 Hundred hand slap reference lmao
Could you please do IZUNA DROP compilation?
Krizalid KOF! THE BEST OF ALL TIME
JJBA All Stars is there in the end. But why not including the classic JJBA Heritage fighting game by Capcom?
2:38
ジヴァートマ
謎の組織「アデス」の総督で、下部組織「クシエル」を統べるリーダー。「アデス」の最高幹部会「コカベルの子供たち」の一人。“闇の爪”と呼ばれる。
格闘スタイル:制裁
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 gave Wolverine one too.
Where are Saint Seiya characters like Pégasus Seiya and his Pegasus Ryuseiken?
There is a amazing compilation vídeo with an outstanding research work. Congratulations for the job
So there's always a "ORA!! ORA!! ORA!!" And a "MUDA!! MUDA!! MUDA!!" lurking everywhere in fighting games huh😂😂😂😂😂
開幕世紀末スポーツアクションゲームで笑った
シンもジャギもおるやんけw
Chun Li did the pummels with her hands instead of her feet for the first time
Meanwhile Saitama be like: “Normal consecutive punches 😑”
Punch fast, good.
Watching Sasuke getting beat is always a treat.
I was hoping for Sho (breakers revanges)
the Ranma 1/2 fighting game on SNES isn't on here, both Ranma's have this attack, big rip
1:40 Sunlight Yellow Overdrive?
gen's was the only other one to focus on pressure points
tails y kong sao os melhore personagens do mundo
2:55 YES
Now do a compilation of every fireball
That would be the longest fg compilation ever
You left out the KOF XV version of Yamazaki punches
Reject ora ora ora, embrace OAAAAAAH! HOKUTO: HYAKURETSUKEN!
Giga Mac: "Am I joke to you?"
The ora ora rush
almost perfect. No CPS3 Jojo
Even got Bloody Roar!!!
I think Wolverine's Berserker Barrage also counts right 😅
I don't think Berserker Barrage counts, but it's that new move he has in MvC3. That one looks more like these moves in the video.
You forgot Machamp from Pokken :^)
4:35 ROAD ROLLA DA!
What about Genos's machine gun?
There's so many, lol
Where is jasqui x-ray from MKX
forgot Fatal Fury Wild Ambition Yamazaki's moves?
6:25 Why he sounds like King Ghidorah?
Chun looks more Wing Chun than anime
I really want Arcana Heart 3 to come to the PS5.
The ps4 need it
Then you need ps plus premium
