I am flatly amazed. I had never heard of this woman or the band. I stumbled into another video of them doing a cover of Birdsong by the Dead, one of my favorites, and their version was unbelievable. I saw this and clicked on it. Wow. "Looking for a Home in the Country," starting at 13:44, sounds like Alison Krauss meets Sarah Jarosz being backed up by the Jerry Garcia Band. The bassist is Phil Lesh caliber and the pedal steel player is damn good, but I have never heard jam-band and bluegrass harp! What a talent! Their harmonies are tight and interesting. The drummer looks totally bored (except when he is singing), but he should stick around for the ride, because these guys are going places.

Mind Blown away, unexpected surprise. What a beautiful sound, band and energy.
Makes this guitar guy want to pick up a bass, such a feel, dude has tone and time on his side.
Mikaela is a rose in a field of grass. New fan.
The main guitar riff, initial lyrical melody, and some of the phrasing of the song Promise (28:08) remind me of George Harrison's If Not For You, though the lyrics are darker in nature. The song reminds me about the loss of relationship with partner for whom I thought we had reciprocal love. In retrospect, it wasn't really love, more like love of an archetype (for my part anyway). Painful stuff this grey Saturday in December. Very good originals, and covering Grateful Dead and Elliot Smith with such grace, great musical talent. This group of musicians is incredible.
Don't know what it is but I absolutely love this woman's voice and love every tune she covered from the Dead. Bird song she does is totally amazing.
The amount of talent in that room is astounding, this has to be one of my favorite sets 🤘🏽
I first got into this amazing band when i heard them doing " Mountains of the moon, Dark star, Wharf rat and St Stephen all in one take. It TOTALLY blew me away. Also Mikaela doing " Bird Song " with Bob Weir and the Wolf bros { I was transported to another world }. TOTAL RESPECT.

Enjoyable to listen to. Her voice is a sweet sunshine melody. I am sure that an actual Dead Concert would have been such a blast for all of them..

This has been here for 4 years? Why haven't I seen this before? I love this band! I also recently watched a set of Grateful Dead covers from a festival I can't remember the name of, but they were awesome! Mikaela got to play with Phil shortly before he passed. I'll bet she'll cherish that moment for the rest of her life.
I've always loved the harp but I've never heard it played in this kind of band. Amazing!

She covered the Dead! Here Comes Sunshine in this set, and there's a KILLER video of her and the band doing Bird Song that's been making the rounds recentlly. It's incredible.

I fell in love with you after hearing your Elliott Smith cover - he’s kind of one of my reasons for being and yours was the most beautiful cover of one of the most beautiful songs.
