Aliso Woods MTB Legal Loop (5 Oaks, Car Wreck & Lynx) July 7, 2024

We headed out to Aliso Woods to do a chill ride. We are in the middle of a heat wave so we figured Laguna would be the coolest place to ride. We took our regular bikes and pedaled the climbs. It was honestly not as bad as I was expecting. We took a very chill pace on the climbs so it wasn't so bad. Also there were some areas with a nice cool ocean breeze.
We hit 5 Oaks, Car Wreck and Lynx. I normally would never do Car Wreck on a weekend but there was not that many hikers out so we decided to take our chances. We actually only saw a group of hikers at the very beginning of the trail and another group at the end. So it wasn't bad at all

Glad you're ok, that crash looked nasty. Had something similar happen to me in the 90's, went way OTB, flipped and landed on camelbak. Bladder burst saving my spine, now I don't ride without a backpack with protection. Keep the vids coming, great riding.
