Jason is right that smell is just amazing, you almost can't describe that smell of a healthy hive.
For me it's a hard choice the smell vs the buzz.
I don't know when you open that lid and you are in that moment and experience the harmony of a healthy hive. I'm not sure we can fully describe that moment to people that don't or haven't experienced it. It's Joy...

Thanks! Everyone has their own favorite thing when working bees. Mine is the smell of a healthy hive, white wax, and a whole frame of grafted queen cells.
