Energy bar gets longer after deaths, but laser hit recharges do not, so you get less % from laser hits.

Yup, that's correct. Energy recharge rate does not increase or decrease upon death. Stays the same. Thankfully, you don't need full energy to transform!

Pretty certain that no beginner is gonna clear this game in ‘a lot less’ than 30hrs…
I've cleared much harder games in much less time, so you never know!
