Can you imagine what Murray's reaction would be if he was still around commentating this race. I don't think he'll be happy at all, and I won't blame him even after hearing James Allen's response to that switch at the start/finish line.
Add Belgium 2021 and Hungary 2024 to this list. Belgium 2021 was nothing but a scapegoat, and Hungary 2024 displayed the same EXACT BS ending as Austria 2002 except that the championship scenario was the exact oppposite.
@@zanemarte9877 McLaren get a pass for making a mistake there in Hungary. They're an inexperienced team when it comes to the position they've found themselves in this season. And it literally meant nothing, cause Lando was never winning the WC after the first 7 races that Max had.
This is exactly why the FIA banned team orders for 10-15 years before allowing them again under certain conditions. Ferrari was warned multiple times before, at 1999 Belgium Murray commentated about the FIA Stewards giving the Ferrari boss and other respective staff warnings about team orders which they believe were influencing the championship toward Ferrari's favor. I can't believe it took the FIA 3 years after that to regulate that. They should have banned them in 2000 after what happened between Ferrari and Eddie Irvine who should have had the upper hand in the 1999 championship.
And the same thing happened again 22 years later with McLaren at Hungary 2024. Lando Norris may have been a help, but Norris is a championship contender and needed the points to challenge Verstappen.
And what makes this even worse was that Michael didn't need that pocket change worth of points when he was miles ahead of his closest competitor BMW's Juan Pablo Montoya in the World Championship. Flash forward to Hungary 2024, the same exact BS ocurred, except that it involved McLaren and the championship as it stood between two contenders was the exact opposite. Norris was told to give up the race win to his "Sophomore" teammate Oscar Piastri when he needed that pocket change worth of points to challenge Max Verstappen for the World Championship.
0:50 Ralf’s face really does say it all
Ralf looking savagely at Michael is something I won't ever forget.

Would certainly be very interesting
5:02 inquest from itv starts
Given Schueys response I don't think he knew what Todt had ordered.
OF COURSE HE KNEW.
Zeltweg 2002 and Indy 2005, 2 miserable days for Formula 1...

Thanks for this. Oof what a bad moment for Ferrari. Bad bad move. They really should have done the swap in the pitstops. Less obvious.
Or let Ruby take a deserved win ;-)
That would have been the correct result but knowing Todt that was never going to happen
@@rachel7000rf Schumi was reeling in Rubinho towards the end so definitely had the chance to pounce in the closing stages

Which is what they did at Indianapolis. Still the most blatant cheating since Adelaide 1994. With Jerez 1997 at least Michael got punished
Definitely worse than the 1998 Australian GP when Coulthard pulled over for Hakkinen
Hamilton doesn't cheat like Schumacher did it here.
The worst team order ever in F1

2024 Qatar Sprint: Here we go again 😒
The most insulted podium ever in Formula 1!
Brawn's reasons are awful

Can believe some of the rumours that were going around that Rubens was told if he didn't move aside,he'd be sacked.
