  • The Maryland Zoo - also known as The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore and formerly known as The Baltimore City Zoo or the Baltimore Zoo - is a 135-acre park located in historic Druid Hill Park in the northwestern area of the City of Baltimore, Maryland, (U.S.A.)
    Exhibits
The zoo has five main areas: Schaefer Plaza, Zoo Central, Maryland Wilderness, Polar Bear Watch, and African Journey. Visitors enter the main ticketing gate of the zoo at Schaefer Plaza named in honor of former Baltimore Mayor and Maryland Governor William Donald Schaefer (1921-2011). The plaza features a gift shop, a playground area known as "Celebration Hill", the zoo's original lion statues, and the Prairie dog exhibit. Prior to the zoo's redesign in the early 2000s, guests would continue down the historic "Main Valley", to access the exhibits. A tram now connects visitors to Zoo Central free of charge. Zoo Central features a concessions area, carousel, and children's train ride that traverses the north side of the African Journey exhibit.
    African Journey
The largest area of the zoo, "The African Journey" displays a wide range of animals originating from the continent of Africa. The main exhibit areas are:
African Aviary: features an enclosed walk-through aviary home to the blue-bellied roller, hadada ibis, African spoonbill, Von der Decken's hornbill, hamerkop, fulvous whistling duck, Spur-winged lapwing, Waldrapp ibis, Red-crested pochard, Marbled duck, African pygmy goose and blue duiker
African Watering Hole: Features a watering hole environment with dama gazelle (Addra), lesser kudu, saddle-billed stork, white rhinoceros, plains zebra, and ostrich. The Caribbean flamingo, Black crowned crane, white stork, ground hornbill, Sitatunga, Leopard tortoise, Spur-thighed tortoise, Amur leopard, Cheetah, and Cape porcupine are located around the watering hole area along the boardwalk.
African Overlook: Features the lion exhibit area and giraffe viewing area. Warthog and Kirk's dik-dik are located nearby.
Chimpanzee Forest: Indoor and outdoor areas home to the chimpanzee, colobus monkey, Coquerel's sifaka, Panamanian golden frogs, East African black mud turtle and slender-snouted crocodile.
Elephant Savannah: Large observation area for the African elephant.
Giraffe Crossing: home to the Giraffe house, feeding station, and okapi.
Lemur Lane: Exhibit featuring the Red ruffed lemur and ring-tailed lemur.
Maryland Wilderness featuring The Children's Zoo
Displaying animals found in Maryland, visitors can watch otters swim over their heads, jump across lily pads, explore a cave, or climb into giant bird nests.
    Polar Bear Watch
The "Polar Bear Watch" features two polar bears named Neva and Amelia Gray, as well as grizzly bears, ravens, bald eagles.
    Penguin Coast
The Zoo’s new state-of-the-art African penguin exhibit located between Polar Bear Watch and African Journey. It brings guests up-close to nearly 60 (and growing) African black-footed penguins, white-breasted cormorants and Pink-backed pelicans in a vivid re-creation of their natural habitat along the coasts and islands of South Africa. There is an underwater viewing window and view to a tidal pool that creates a wave-like effect for the birds.

    Hey Tom!
I just finished this video on my break in class after my Biology Test ( i think i did pretty good )!
I really enjoyed this video Tom! Really nice Zoo, i love all the naturalistic habitats and the fact that it`s built in the woods, so nice! I do have some time stamps for you my friend!
1:40: Nice to see them out for once, usually they`re all in their burrows. Having some breakfast as you stated.
5:50: You`re right Tom he ( or she ) is beautiful! Believe it or not, this guy is probably a normal without any special morph ( morph is basically added genes and colours, for example: a banana ball python is a ball python is a morph. On the subject of ball pythons, they have thousand of morphs btw ). Corn snakes are just naturally beautiful!
9:00: He/she must be hiding really well!
9:06: Yay! I always enjoy the farm animals.
    12:13: That`s a pretty cool cup 😎!
12:20: Choo Choo! I always enjoy the train rides!
    17:40: That`s pretty cool! Wild White-Tailed Deer!
18:32: There he goes! Such a beautiful animal!
32:32: This guy is a juvenile, adults can get roughly 8 feet but some males reach 14 feet occasionally!
45:40: Never a video without zebra butts eh Tom🤣?
49:08: Yes! We need a video on Sheldon soon! Have you had him since he`s been a hatchling? If so, how long is that, if not, how long have you had him for?
34:54: I honestly think that the whole highway for primates is a really cool idea! Talk about enrichment!
Yeah, very good Zoo Tom, very nicely done video as well! I`m about to start the reptile video and rest assured i`ll be in complete 100% in heaven! I hope you`re well Tom! Looking forward to your reply Tom!

The prairie dogs are very cute, happy I got to see them. I bet you'd think Corn snakes would've been my favorite 🐍 since I'm so corny 😁. In addition to my large hat collection, I've amassed quite the drink bottle collection too. It's kinda funny how excited I got seeing a wild white tailed deer from the train while at a zoo. The juvenile African crocodile was really cute. It wouldn't be an authentic Tom's Road Trippin zoo tour without Zebra butts 😅. I'll be having Sheldon in a vid soon along with Toby and Cow. It was really neat how the zoo has the animal highway. The animals are able to move around to the different habitats. This was a fun zoo, very natural looking throughout. Bummer I missed seeing Bob, I checked for him a few times. Glad you enjoyed the tour Noah, I know you mostly enjoy my animal content. ❤

@@TomsRoadTrippin I figured you`d enjoy all the information that i provided about the animals.
Haha, i guess it would make sense for the corn snake to be your favourite snake, however, i already know that it`s the Gaboon Viper and who can blame you? Very beautiful snakes!
I`ve been wondering, where do you keep all of your hats and drink bottles? Looking forward to your video on Sheldon and your dogs!
Yes, i love your animal content!
Sorry for the late reply, i worked from 12PM-8PM and then i played some games with my family afterwards and have not had a chance to open my laptop until now.
      I hope you`re well Tom!
