My friend. Thank you for showing the inside of the washer and explaining those are indeed needed sponge pads and not throw away foam. I wasn’t sure and nobody else explained that or displayed it, but you did and now I love you.
Thank you for this review. My brother has recently retired and he's just now getting into 3D printing, and this review, which I've forward on to him I think will be helpful.
one thing to note when handling resin prints, you should always wear gloves until model is washed and the resin has been fully cured. Uncured resin can cause skin irritation, and prolonged or repeated exposure can increase your sensitivity to that exposure.
Same with handling the IPA which was used. IPA dries out the skin and the resin residue in the IPA after cleaning can cause the same irritation. I learned that the hard way... you'll learn quickly after having itching irritations on your hands for weeks on end :(
In fact, after the cleaning solution is mixed with the resin solution, has the possibility of flammability or explosion been diluted? It stands to reason that the more turbid the cleaning fluid, the less dangerous it should be?
Great video, just one question. If the the waves travel through the bag and just interact with the IPA inside to clean the print, what is the use of filling the vat with liquid, can't you just place the bag inside with the IPA on its own ?
Hi!!! Great Review…. Just one question do i need the ultrasonic cleaner when i am just washing water washable resin Prints… if i understand correct i need 6l water and 1l 10% iso correct?
With all due respect I'm curious as to how the print is cleaned better when inside a ziplock bag? What does the cleaning station do to the print if the print is isolated in a seperate bag? Genuinely just curious and wanting to understand, thank you for your educational videos sir!
Hi Wayne what is the chance of a mancave tour would like to see how you organise your stuff noticed boxes on the back of your desk i presume you keep screws in them etc as a newcomer it might help me with ideas on bets storage solutions cheers Mark, watched the whole series build of the Terminator you done a few years back, What has been your favourite build so far also been checking out the Uniformation printer 👍
TBH.... I never would've thought of putting the finished prints into a separate bag of IPA on it's own.... lot of cost saving with that method and a lot less clean up!! Thankyou so much!!! P.S. V.I.N.CENT is amazing!!! where did you get him from?!
I just bought this device and I don't understand, I thought you were supposed to be able to use alcohol in it. I don't know how to make that mixture that you have and there is no link to the supplies for that. Can't I just use 70% isopropyl alcohol? Also, I'm making parts for auto interiors and I need something that is resistant to heat and is strong. What resin do you recommend? Right now I'm using uniformations resin. Does uniformation resin require alcohol or water sorry I'm new to this and I don't understand.
As long as you are in a well ventilated area away from anything that could cause a spark you should be okay but take heed. Alcohol vapours and ignition sources don't mix.
@@WorldofWayneUK thank you, so does uniformation resin require alcohol or water? What is the recipe you use for your mixture other than distilled water what was the other liquid?
It requires alcohol. You can get water washable resins though which eliminate the need for alcohol completely. You can then just use that green cleaner or even water directly.
I think I may make a system that drains it and passes it through filters into a sealed container and then will it back up for you as well that way it helps keep the ipa clean and in a sealed container when not in use

I love the V.I.N.CENT in the background ☺
The zip-lock bag is actually very ingenious. Thanks!
Thanks for cleaning idea ❤
Liked the video, but please, it's isopropyl, not isoprobic, my ocd was kicking off! 😅
just wanted to clarify. that solution you made, its entirely safe with water-washable resin? no need for the bag method, like with normal resin?

I think the vibrations travel better through a liquid mediim
Awesome video, I've just received one of these myself! When using the bag method, do you still fill the vat with your magical cleaner mix?
Yep
Who else ran to the trash bin to fish out those foam sponge pads?
😆😆
Hi!!! Great Review…. Just one question do i need the ultrasonic cleaner when i am just washing water washable resin Prints… if i understand correct i need 6l water and 1l 10% iso correct?
That works a treat. The mixture will.last many.many washes too

Genuinely just curious and wanting to understand, thank you for your educational videos sir!
The wave vibrations travel through the bag. Its the same as having it out the bag but protect the isopropyl from blowing up
@@WorldofWayneUK awesome thank you!
why must the bag be below the level line?
does the cleaner fit prints that use 100% of the gktwobuild volume? It looks shorter
I haven't tried to be honest. It looks deep enough.

I will do
@WorldofWayneUK much appreciated Thank You.
Did you mean isopropyl not isopropic? just making sure before i order
Yep

It'd a 3d print
@@WorldofWayneUK amazing print!!!! 😀😀
How often do you change the sponge at the bottom of the wash station?
I don't really. I never get any resin on it

You dont worry about using gloves when handling non cured prints? Also can you provide a link to the ultrasonic pro solution.
Yer. You should wear gloves. I normally do but my camera wouldn't operate with them on. amzn.to/3uP6eux
Does this machine also have heating function?
No but the action of the sonic vibrations will naturally heat things up
Hi Wayne what price for both machines thanks
For £1000 you can get the printer, wash station and Curing station. With the discount its more like £900
looking at the user manual it actually says to fill it directly with IPA
Yer. That's dangerous.

Gloves, man gloves!
I have a box of them here. I keep.forgetting to use em
@@WorldofWayneUK honestly, I'm shocked you haven't got resin burns or rashes! gloves BEFORE AND AFTER washing!!
but can it fry chips? ;)
Good point lol
