India's Fastest Royal Enfield Electra: Hitchcock Big Bore, 5 Speed Gearbox On The Right

- 120 kmph in the 3rd gear on a single cylinder Royal Enfield? Five-speed gearbox on the right hand side? Are you freakin' kidding me?
That's what my initial reaction was when Jaideep told me about his prized possession - a 2007 Royal Enfield Electra 350, that he got as a teenager and started modifying for more performance.
From a Hitchcock aluminium 500cc big bore kit, to 18 inch rims, to a customised gearbox, to what not, hear the man himself narrate the story of his first ever Royal Enfield.

To say that Jaideep is an auto enthusiast would be an understatement. This man has engine oil running in his veins and a V8 for a heart. From running multiple Royal Enfield dealerships, to building some crazy motorcycles and trucks, he also meticulously restores vintage Royal Enfield motorcycles.
Oh, and he also happens to be a 110 kg bodybuilder (currently in off season. lol)

This video is so nostalgic. All. My memories are alive. I remember all my mails to the Swiss engineer Mr. Fritz Egli when I was looking for plunger oil pump for my 1968 Royal Enfield which used to deliver 60% more oil to the cams..Changes in my sprockets for sppeds upto 130kmph.. I also had fitted a 5 plate pressure clutch and Ngk spark plug back in the days. When I was 18 and now 41.. Thanks for the Video Bro.. God bless you.

Only problems with such high revving modification is the tappets and rocker springs are not made for such high rpm’s. The other thing that comes to my mind is possibilities of breaking connecting rod.
But hats of to this guy since he has been running this Enfield for years now without facing any issues.

Vintage bikes are already close to heart. But, it also does have lot of other enhancements which makes it even more priceless. Nice
Every since I watched your KTM Adv sprocketing mod videos all I think about when I see bikes, especially those which I hear are sluggish in low end, is what sprocket combo will make them accelerate harder 😛 Jaideep looks like he could tell you what to do in his sleep. 👍

Jaideep is where I got the line from.
Indian bikers are like how British ones were in the 1970s and 80s (this is a compliment by the way). Just enjoying what they have, fixing it themselves and having fun adding performance mods.

The 5 speed gearbox if from an Avl Thunderbird but converted to right side shifter.
Wow, I used to drive a custom 624cc Enfield with lots of Hitchcocks performance parts and sold the engine to someone in Deutschland

He has done great stuff on his bike, It's indeed a sleeper. My favourite mod is the converting the 5 speed unit to a right side shifter. What cams is he using? Are those from Hitchcock's as well?
