Originally when I first saw this I had thought that the Mad Man was Spear's descendant, but after seeing Darlington using every tool and method of combat at his disposal and finishing him off with a spear as his final weapon, I think Darlington might have a little of our favorite dino riding cave man in his family tree
Heck, seeing how the madman acts, a part of me sees this as like when Spear and Fang fought the Alpha Tyrannosaurus, the mad men having killed people close to the Spear and Fang in the scenario (Darlington and Charles) and getting back at him
What I like about this "battle" is that before the fights, the gentlemen talk about how they are far from savages because of their class and years of evolution; they say there is no way to go back. However, during the fight, they pick up weapons that slowly go back through time. They use guns as weapons all the way down to sticks and fists, proving the point that no matter how modern we are, we can still go ape-shit crazy.
As someone who has never seen this show before, you can imagine my surprise when i see a random british dude that looks like he can barely move a chair start to throw hands on-par with a guy who looks like he could give Killer Croc from Batman a run for his money.
I say both are the mad man is spear if he let his more brutal nature get the better of him while darlington is his more calculated mind that will eventually outgrow the need for such but not fully throw away savagery. If it was more modern i say he definitely end up using guns more due to how they advanced through the ages
In a sense, both could be descendants of Spear. The madman encompasses the brutal strength and ferocity that Spear has, even resembling him more closely, as Darlington encompasses the tactical and human side of Spear, only using brute fighting when push comes to shove and his fellow scientists are in danger, as seen at the end.
@Bubbble_Bear No that's not what I meant, my point was that Darlington, the MC keeps missing his shots whenever Madman is running towards him, he can't land anything. The only time he hits Madman is when Madman ran away and he shoots him with an arrow. If they had decent aim instead of having an aim of a stormtrooper, Madman would've died within seconds.
@@Great-Dao-of-Elegance Which sorta furthers my point about Darlington being a "Predator", he folded when hes not the aggressor but as soon as Madman was "backing off", thats when he pounced as predators would often do
@Bubbble_Bear Again no, I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about Darlington's accuracy on his shots. It's deliberately inconsistent and lowered so that Madman posed more of a threat than he really should.
If you panic it's hard to shoot accurately especially if they are literally in front of you while the creature eating your friend/Allie just imagine the terror that he feels a cannibal eating his friend and killed 3 other people while being a Muscle Barbarian that feels almost no pain and knows how to hunt properly without any weapons or Protection@@Great-Dao-of-Elegance
I honestly feel like Darlington mainly resembled Spear more than the Madman simply because he’s a more quiet and tactical fighter, to be honest. Also the way he goes wild in the end pretty much shows the nature of Spear, the way he just stands there silently with that look on his face.
You know I actually read a comment that said Darwin was only half right well he was right that given certain situations a person can become savage, but here's the thing the reason why the old man went savage wasn't just for his own survival he was trying to protect Darwin from a deranged and evil psychopath, it was his humanity and civilized nature and his desire to protect people that led to his victory against the madman, not just going savage. I mean look at the madman he's far more savage but he lost because he's an amoral psychopath and a savage killer who doesn't fight to protect people or to survive he fights and kills just for the fun of it.
The mad man and spear aren’t meant to be paralleled, Spear and Darlington are, the mad man is meant to parallel the many threats spear had to face and is just a force of primal fury much like the T-Rex in the beginning of the series and is purely malicious, Spear isn’t malicious and does what he does to defend himself and survive much like Darlington in the episode having to adapt and fight to survive and protect his friend like Spear
I do not know how this fits into the Primal timeline but I am so in love with its animation and fighting styles and how none of the characters ever say a word just use facial expressions and aren’t afraid of using whatever is around to deal damage and defeat their antagonist
i like the idea that mad man and darlington are a part of two branches of Spear’s bloodline and at their truest form, they still have that primal blood in them.
I love how Charles was so happy that his theory was proven right that even tho he’s bleeding out, 2 of his friends are critically injured and 1 is dead, and that Darlington just killed a man, he still feels the need to say “I told you so!” 💀💀
@@matijasostojic4288aim dodge, people seem to think it's nonsense but a bullet has a path, stay ahead of that bullets path and you shouldn't get shot, the primal man can't think beyond his base instinct so he is at a advantage.
