My mother was a Fenton dealer started in the 60's. Between the family members we have over 2000 pieces of Fenton. Many still in the original boxes from the early carnival to the epergnes, burmese, coin dot, punch sets and exclusive limited edition items. My personal collections are the punch sets, burmese and vaseline as well as the Christmas items. Love watching videos on Fenton and hopefully when I retire the prices will be back up to par. Thanks for sharing.
According to Dr. Lori, she says in a few years, maybe 5-6 years that glass will be making a huge comeback. I personally think all the glass is so cool and it brings me back to my Grandparents house and good times. That’s so cool that you have so much and in boxes, too! Wow. My style is so all over the place.
I started collecting Fostoria Coin Glass after my Mom gave me her collection. Now I’ll have to collect Fenton. Like you said, it’s the family memories that make it special!
I have toured the Fenton factory several times as a child. My grandparents lived close to the factory. Now, I collect milk glass! Thanks for all your information.
Fenton Glass from 1905-1907 was decorated by Fenton but manufactured by other glass companies. In 1907 Fenton built their first factory in Williamstown, West Virginia and started producing their own glass. Their first piece was not iridescent ware, it was crystal with a water lily and cattail pattern. There are many inconsistencies in this story. The Fenton factory closed in 2011, the buildings were demolished and a school was built in it's place. The closing has made Fenton glass more desirable and more valuable.
I grew up in Williamstown and my father owned the Antique store in town that had massive amounts of Fenton. My father worked for Fenton and has some one-of-a-kind pieces.
When I start hobbies I get fully engulfed 😂 and I want you to know that your channel has helped me the most! So thank you! I love the history & learning!
I loved your video, it was very interesting. My Mother and I used to drive down around the Ohio River valley and back on our annual glass trips back in the 1970’s when the glass factories were still in existence. The Fenton glass factory was one of our favorite stops. I have a lot of Fenton glass and I didn’t know what to do with it. I think I’ll sit on it. Thank you for your info.
This was very informative. I loved Fenton and cranberry glass back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. I still have a lot but don’t display it so much. I for sure won’t get rid of it now. I am curious to go through it all now. You started this series with one of my favorites. 😃.
Your channel just popped up on my TH-cam screen this morning and showed me as subscribed. I was so amazed by all the knowledge you had to shared, I hit the 🔔 to be notified again. Excellent! Sir.
I woke up and was unsubscribed! But I've got a learning love affair with this mans antique knowledge!! But I caught those guys and subbed again! 😻👩💻👩🏫 Let's Do This!!!
I've never heard of Fenton glass, but recognize it in this video. I started collecting glass with unique paperweights, as you say, ones I love without spending too much. I have been expanding and I love the uranium glass. Also hand blown glass, like some pieces from Greenfield Village and artist sales and museum consignment stores. We will be visiting your shop this summer!
Great review! I would love to see you cover IMPERIAL GLASS, Bellaire, Ohio. Also produced magnificent glass. I have many beautiful pieces as I live near where it was crafted. Thanks!
The factory was in Williamstown, W.VA. I lived there as a kid & my uncle was management there. After we moved, I would go on tours every summer when we visited.
Thank you so much for the information and lesson on Fenton glass. I am an Interior designer and I love learning about beautiful objects from the past so I can include them in my designs.
That's interesting I learned so much, and that's saying alot because I have a short attention span, but you had my attention. Impressive video. Thanks.
Terrific video. I have some milk glass pieces that were my mother's. She loved the simplicity. I have found some more at local yard sales, and at a thrift shop. I am hoping to find cranberry glass. Thanks for the information and wish me good luck finding "treasures"!
Love these videos. You are a great speaker. I like how they are short. But I wish you do some longer ones that talk more in depth with some of the longer standing companies.
Gave this video a huge thumbs up 👍. My mom has some slippers. One is green with the cat in front. One is blue with roses. It appears the cat's got the tounge 😆. Trying to price them out was iffy, but a fluctuation seems interesting.
Good idea for a series, I wish I shared your hopes for the future of collectables. My wife and I have numerous collections from Anri to Wedgwood. WE enjoy them, but the younger generations have no interest in 'dust collectors'. We had small collections (3 is a collection) until the late 1990's, but increased our collections dramatically when the market started to die, and did real well on eBay until it became more work than fun. Maybe by the time our grandchildren get to sell our estate, your hopes for this field of collectables will have recovered, and we have still enjoyed our 'stuff' for many years. I did subscribe.
@@66uniqueantiques Today to make something relevant or valuable you have to collaborate with another brand. Maybe Fenton can pair up with Corelle, or an expensive brand like Chanel. Once Fenton becomes "hip" :) and cool, then its value will rise. The same with other brands. I'm sitting with a lot of Norman Rockwell stuff (and I love his art) but there's so much that the value is almost worthless. I'm hoping somebody who's a big Rockwell collector will scoop it up. I hope someone makes a movie about Rockwell, or creates animation about him. Something that's "cool."
Great video! My wife and I collect toothpick holders. They’re small and easy to display. Most of them are Fenton. Can’t wait to share this video with my wife! 😎👍
I wish u were around when i had my fenton glass had several pieces but i didnt know enough to know what i was doin oh well live and learn from now on i will look more carefully and sell more carefully lol
New subscriber here (Apr’21). You did not say that you were a collector until the end. I was very surprised and appreciate your knowledge and your pace. Thanks!
I have a small purple glass basket.......for years I kept the hanging tag on it, but it is now gone. The label is half gone. It is so small and sweet. I love it. I keep it dusted and shiny, that’s probably while the sticker is half gone. That’s all I have. I bought it for a gift, then when I purchased it, I decided to keep it! I have nothing else. That’s my story. I love Pyrex, fire king, fiesta ware, glass bake and jewel tea Autumn leaf. That’s all. I have just subscribed. I like your channel. I wish you would trim your beard.
Anne thank you so much for the sub and I'm glad you enjoy the channel but this beard is a labor of love and I just can't part with it 🤣🤣. If you enjoy pyrex we have one that focuses on pyrex I bet you would enjoy. Feel free to check it out 🙂
I have a lot of milk glass pieces. I also have some Tiffin glass and some Fostoria glass. I would like to see you do a video of the history and vlaue of Tiffin and Fostoria as collector items. I was raised close to where tose two glass companies started. Thanks for your informative video.

Memories over Money is a great concept if you are only interested in collecting. But you still don’t want to pay double the value for any item. And many in your audience are interested in making a profit. I really enjoy your videos so I’m not being critical. Only asking for a little more info on values. (I watched your episode two before watching this one lol). Thank you for the hard work and love you put into your videos.

Nueva seguidora ya que yo miro todo esto en las yardas y segunda mano de las tiendas
7: 06 F in the shield is Federal Glass Comp. Also noticed that F is not in cursive as all other Fenton labels and glass marks.
You are correct I did overlook that when editing the video my apologies
Thank you. That was a very informative presentation. Now I understand a lot more about those beautiful glasses. Pictures helped me a lot more.

I love Fenton especially the Burmese & hand painted pieces
They are beautiful pieces
Watch for "End of Day" glass pieces. They sometimes sell for a lot AND (for the collectors) they're genuinely one of a kind!
