Beloved Boise elementary school custodian retires after 43 years

After 43 years at Valley View Elementary School in Boise, head custodian Jerry Richey is about to retire. Students and teachers say they will always remember his kindness and the positive impact he's had on their lives.

As an elementary school custodian of 6 years, thank you sir. Enjoy retirement. Not all heros wear capes. Most of us custodians are a positive person in lives of kids who may not get attention at home. It's a messy job we do, but we do it for the kids!
