//ABOUT ME
Hello, My name is Mert, I am a professional 3D artist with nearly 10 years experience, I have started to share all my knowledge with you, my main software is Cinema 4D and my professions are Modeling/Product Visualization/Shading/Lighting/Rendering/Compositing/Motion Graphics Based Animations.
Even if I don't use C4D, your videos help me a lot, understanding traditional poly modeling. Thank you very much for this! Keep up the good job man. Thank you
Thank you Vasilis, that's great.
As always, fantastic. I really enjoy watching your tutorials
@Polygonpen, your tutorials are always awesome, keep up the good work. I will be glad to more on UVMap, I have never used that in C4D before, I wanna learn more. Thank you
The blend mode technique with clones is awesome. Thanks
Amazing as always. Thank you very much for your great tutorials.
Your work is amazing, thank you for being there!
So great, I followed along in this one and so impressed by how inventive you are for solving solutions.
Thank you James :)

Nice work.)
Good job!)
Great tutorial ! I like your modeling toolbar on the bottom.
Thanks.
An artist.
nice one
Nice
Great Tutorial as always. Bravo.
In minute 5 I know a way to do those cuts a bit faster. If you ring select those edges and then press m+m it will connect those edges making perfect cuts really fast :)
Well, to be honest I have never used it, I have just tried that, you learn something new everyday, thanks.
@@polygonpen Thank you for your amazing tutorials! I'm glad you find that useful. :D
Master
THX!!!!
Yeeeessssss !!!
Great tutorial! But it will be better if you'll add the Bump Map for your next tutorials. Thanks!
Hy,I'm your big fan from Indonesia 🙋♂️
👍👍👍
厉害啊!
good👍👍👍
I really appreciate your technique not only in these videos but in all the others, great job! I'm curious to know where in the USA you live.
Thank you, well I live in Istanbul :)
Amazing tutorial, however why not not drag the bend deformer under the polygon so you can automatically size to parent/target object and then take it out to make the bend? 7:08
Is there a way to disable negative scaling for the scale tool?
I don't think so.
clonnershhh , hereshhh, deformerrshhh :D
I've been watching your modelling video and I want to ask something.
sometimes, you used basic shapes to start off with the model, but some other time, you use the linear spline pen. I was wondering when should you should one over the other? or does it really matters?
Primative shapes/objects are always faster, but in some cases you need to create your own primative/starting objects, so it depends on the shape you want to model.
If you add the real true size of the object in the Bend deformer 360 degrees will be enough for the ideal bend.
Yeah actually right
How to make bump map
photoshop, and some adjustments with black/grey/white
What version of Blender has been used for this tutorial?
This is not Blender, this is Cinema 4D
@@polygonpen lol
Is there any disantavtanges in using c4d instead of Maya or blender for example? Why do you choose c4d? As I know Maya and blender are more popular for these tasks. Do you work as 3d artist? I don't model but it would be interesting to hear your opinion.
Yes I am a 3D Artist/Genaralist, I have been using C4D for a long time for modeling, texturing, motion graphs, a lot of stuff, there is no disadvantage, I usually model with Subdivision surface technique which is universal, some softwares have shorter and longer ways/tools but it is the same, I like C4D's simplicity.
@@polygonpen thank you
20 years ago I was searching for a pro level 3D software for Mac OS and C4D was the only one. 3D Studio Max and Maya were PC only. Now I’m glad because I love it’s versatility and simplicity.
@@steve_the_designer agree. I also love cinema, started my 3d journey because cinema is so user friendly.
@@steve_the_designer Yeah Exactly
Hi. When im importing a textfile from photoshop, I get a white background, even tho I have two textlayers who got transparent background, any fix?
Transparent textures won't work well, like transparent pngs, so it is good to have an extra alpha texxture just for transparent areas.
@@polygonpen is that what you did?
@@GranzDesign I didn't do such thing in this tutorial, but overall, I do that all the time, I mean it is a must for material creation.
@@polygonpen Can you make a video for only that? I think many people would have use for it
@@polygonpen by that I mean on @18:20 , its driving me insane. I only get my text with a white background under it. Cant find any tutorial to only get the letter and save it.
In addition, God bless, now they have improved the bridge tool in the latest version, it was a crap. Stitch and Sew should be transferred to the Bridge tool, much more convenient.
Yeah!
What an interesting time! This kind of models were easily created more then 20years ago, and never supposed to be something interesting even to talk about!
Really?
Super amazing modeling, but you spelled "designed" wrong... :)
I spell many things wrong :D
You sound like Cristiano Ronaldo!
😂 really?
this is horribly done... if 303 people like this 303 people are learning how NOT TO DO art wrong
This is not art, who said it is art?
