    I love the way it disconnects. So easy for me to get in side the canister. I’ve had the 500 about 3 mo and I like it so far. Got really cheap on a Petco sale.

    I don't own one of these but i have been impressed with what I've seen in the past and now with your honest video im not liking the hose or the way they connect to the motor so think you for sharing this video. Not saying i won't buy one in the future but have some worries. Thanks for sharing

    Toss the tubing in the dryer and stay by it until it softens up and works the kink out.

      Awesome idea! Probably should do that before they're all wet! I'll try that next time for sure.

    Got a whale 500 and same leak happened for me. and for some reason it does not prime as well. But when the valve body is moved / rock back and forth it primed and worked. Could not understand what the issue is..

      I wonder if its just when initially connected or if the leaking can happen easily later? I haven't cleaned mine yet so I haven't disturbed it.

    Sicce DOESN'T make the "Tidal" brand of HOB filters, those are SeaChem.

      Do me a favor. Go to Seachem’s website, products, filtration, filters, Tidal. There you will find the Sicce logo. 😀

    How long did it take for all the water to leak out?

    • @FishyReview
      @FishyReview  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wouldn’t say all the water leaked out. There was maybe a pint of water that made it to the floor, which seems like a lot when it’s on the floor.

    These are on sale at Petco right now for 50% off for all sizes!! I bought 35 of the whale 500s and 28 of this one, the whale 200. Already have half of all of them resold for $25 under their "normal" retail prices. Seems people don't know about Petcos 50% off sale on these right now and are snatching up the ones I have for sale at $25 under their normal retail price.

    Ugh. I bought two whale 500 today. One works fine and the other leaks just like yours. I tried removing the disconnect and putting it back. No luck. Waiting for support to contact me back. What a pain in the ass

      Let us all know if you get it figured out! Did you try not quite pushing the lock all the way in?

      @@FishyReview yes. That still doesn’t work. So disappointed. Was hoping it would be good. I may return it and just wait for the FX4 to go on sale. I have one already and it has NEVER given me any issues. Yes it’s big and chunky but no leaks.

      @@Jlui83 yep this leaking thing is very concerning with these filters. Best of luck!

      @@FishyReview returned both of them. I don’t want to have to worry about the leak if I move it a certain way. Ended up scoring a new FX6 locally.
