I would call the “LED cutter” a dome shaving guide. This video helped me understand our conversation much better. Thank you
Years ago we would dedome by putting gasoline in a glass jar (small mason jar) then drop the led (on mcpcb) into the jar. In a couple to several hours the dome would float off leaving a perfect undimmed die with all phosphor intact. Best part is a 100% success rate. Remove the mcpcb and rinse in alcohol and let dry.
Does it still work in modern day LEDs? XHP70.2 for example?

I believe the SBT90 is not glued around the entire perimeter is to let the air pressure escape when hot. The air under the lens box would otherwise expand and pop the lens box off.

My theory is that the glue on sbt90.2 is in the U shape instead of O, because the air that is inside has some outlet while the diode heats up. If it were tight, it might break or something.

I just bought the wurkkos ts30s with sbt90 and I absolutely love the light, EXCEPT the substantial outer ring on the beam. Rings don't always bother me but this one is substantial. I am going to try these tips , because I was about to return it only because of the ring.
Only thing is, do is start with lifting the lense with spacers or delensing? The rings are the very outside of the beam. I guess best idea is to try and lift because there is no undoing the delense? Thanks Vinh!

It would be better to do delensing on a led that is soldered on a MCPCB, now you cant press on it when soldering it on the mcpcb to get it flush .
If I have rings on outside of my beam, and I have a SS bezel, should I start by lifting or lowering the reflector on the led/mcpcb? Or should I start by blackening inside of bezel on top or bottom? Thanks!
Start with a black marker and color the inside of the bezel.
If the ring is in the middle of the beam you will need to color the LED reflector hole.

@@skylumen569 Ive had good luck. I use my credit card, i can always dispute with them stateside if I have issues that way. Banggood on the other hand got 12 bucks off me for a faulty smart bulb. No more banggood for me.
simon convoy shop on aliexpress is really good place to buy led.. cheaper than other seller there and sometime if need extra item such as extra reflector, simon will just gave it for free, just pay for the led.
I think kaidomain does chemical de-dome on sst40.
