I am a Cashier at Dollar General and scanning in this order is a life saver for the cashier. If the cashier has to do a void or something messes up they have to call the manager up to the register. If a void or cancel does have to happen it will void the coupon and make it unusable messing up the whole experience. Scan this way if you want things to go smooth. Trust her and Trust a DG Cashier lol

Yeppers. As an FD employee, I suggest the one at a time method too so we can see if the coupon comes off before we move to the next coupon. It's a pain in the buns to do a coupon manually after we have 35 items and have to scroll up. It's time consuming and causes a line. FD has a max of four of the same coupons in the same transaction though just as a heads up. We will lose our jobs for violating coupon policy. Please download our app as well because we allow stacking of Smart Coupons as well as manufacturer coupons. I love getting my Gain with the Smart Coupon and the manufacturer coupon.

I've always done that or if I have a coupon & know I'm not going to use it before it expires, I will put the coupon right by the item in the store so that if someone else was already going to by it, they can find the coupon right there-for free.

Hey. I work at DG. Our coupon policy is that we can accept 5 like coupons per household per day no matter what the coupon says..so using three like you did at ANY dg would be fine

I'm old enough to remember going in with 100 coupons, after midnight (so as to not create long lines), doubling, tripling those coupons, no issue, grabbing my CHANGE because the stores owed me, no strict corporate policy... Then that caught on 😅 and couponing confused us all after that and a majority of our species died off. You're doing such a beautiful job making this so simple! 🙌🏽

Everyone should understand that the $5/3 gain items says a limit of 1 coupon per household so it is possible your cashier will not let you use 3 and you really can not be upset about it. If they go with the 3 than it is an awesome haul!
Nicole Flusk I think within these coupon communities no one ever tells you the possibilities “ you could get turned away because in a lot of places the only allow one coupon per customer per day and it says it on the coupon in fine print”
I understand. I just mean if you are a new couponer then it’s good them to know about the coupon limits. If they want to try more it may not work depending on the cashier. That’s all I am saying. When you post a haul that doesn’t follow the rules exactly it could confuse someone that its new. I just started a few months ago and learned the hard way about coupon limits and glittering. It doesn’t work for everyone. It was a comment to be helpful not negative.

I work at dollar general and if you do have coupons and want to do the 5 off of 25 it's easier to do the 5 off 25 first then do the rest of the coupons
Right because the total won't be 25 if u use the other coupons first

No I work at Dollar general. If you scan the 5 off 25 before or after the other coupons it knocks the 5 off 25 over
And if your cashier is manually putting it through you're risking their job

@@tenishaalbino7898 the way my store is set up if you don't give the cashier the 5 off 25 first and use your other coupons first it will knock down your price under 25 so you wouldn't be able to use the 5 off 25

This is my first time couponing i use digital coupon for Food 4 Less. Regular price were about $65 for food 4 less I only spent $43 got back 4 paper coupons everything u taught me. Watching your video help me out. I have 1 years son i have to use coupon on his baby items. I shop everywhere and online
I just want to say thank you! You make couponing seem a little less frightening, because not only are you kind to your cashiers, but you seperate your products and then the coupon after each amount of items that's needed per coupon. It just helps me understand how I should do it a lot better.

Hey! I just want to thank you for breaking couponing down to lame people like me. I have been wanting to coupon for so long now, and I just couldn't grasp the explanation of other people's method. I brought 105 count fabric sheets of gain for $1.50. Regular price $4.50. Also got the fabric softener for $1. Regular price $4. I left the store feeling so accomplished because my total went from $8.50+tax to $2.50+tax. $6 savings! And on my very first time trying. I tried clipping coupons before and always felt like I was having to spend money I didn't have for items I didnt need and walked away feeling like I lost money . I've had different friends and relatives who has these amazing hauls for less than a few dollars and even free. I tried asking for tips and always got told "take a couponing class" yesterday I stumbled across one of ur uploads on free items at walmart and it blew my mind so I went to ur channel and I'm catching up on all ur videos. Your amazing girl! Just got done and the scenario worked beautifully. I didn't have to pay anything and the only coupons I used were,
3 paper $5 off gain
1 digital $2 off for fabric softener
I thought I was going to have to pay a little more since I didn't have the $5 off $20 digital
But it ended up being -.29 The cashier even gave me the change back!

here’s an amazon trick, idk if it’s in america, but definitely in britain:
1. Go to amazon
2. Search cheap penny buys, or just simply add ‘cheap’ before anything you want, not usually technology
3. Simply look around at what the results are, you can find items for 1p! Make sure you check the shipping sometimes it can be like £5, so try and find free shipping items, they may take a while to come, but it’s worth it! I found a pack of TEN tablet styluses, for 36p, and free delivery! Still waiting for them, they come on 10th december.

I used to use lots of dryer sheets, and use less now.......a hint I do now is this ......I use a wool ball in my dryer and put a few drops of essential oil on the ball and this makes my clothes smell real good and helps eliminate wrinkles and makes the clothes dry faster....(this way I do not have to find a place to store all the dryer sheets)......thanks
Alot of times the cashier at my local DG inspects the $%#@$ coupon and feels the need to CLARIFY to me that it states that you can only use ONE coupon per customer...per household per day!! In which case I had my daughter change the address on hr account to state it as SUITE 2...and my sons to say SUITE 3... which is not a lie... I have a 3 bedroom home ;)

If you scan 3 and then give a coupon, doesn't that drop your total and hinder you from reaching the dollar amount threshold for the $5 off $20 Gain or $5 off $25?

I use to cashier at a store, and I can say this "yes, it is always easier to scan coupons as we go, especially if they are a percent off and I have to key in. It is always easier to know why a coupon isn't working if you scan it right after the item it should go to, and some stores, like Walmart, refuse (some managers, each store is different) to accept a coupon if it will not scan.

I've attempted to coupon before and I've saved a couple of bucks but never understood how people get deals like the ones you got in this video and I for one are so thankful for the explanation. And that's how I did mines product then coupon because I didn't want to be embarrassed if I did it wrong. Also there is a thing on the app that if you are unsure if a product qualifies for a digital you can scan the barcode and it will let you know if it does or doesn't. Thank you for explaining everything in detail.

So I just went to try this deal, just didn't get the bic razors because the packs there were open. And I ran into a load of problems sigh.
I ended up paying 4.58 oop for the 9 gain, ajax, finish, and gain fabric softener. My cashier wasn't all that happy about me using the (3) 5/3 coupons AT ALL but she pushed it thru anyway.
A really good video would be if you guys take the time in a video to teach everyone how to read their receipts because I'm having one HARD time trying to parse why my transaction wasn't free or closer to free. I didn't complain in store but this deal really gave me some issues.

I'm in Michigan too and our cashiers are something else, some of the cashiers are in the coupon groups and they know why we are using the q after every 3 Gain, so I wasn't able to use 3 qs. But it's ok I do really good at CVS. My oop is usually under $10 for $50 worth of product.

I'm confused because of you use your paper coupons before your $5/$20 digital then your total will be less than $20 and your $5 off $20 digital wont come off? At least that's been my experience, so how did it work for you?
The system will not honor a combination of coupons its set that way so that means your cashier is finessing the transactions...
I ran into a LOT of problems like this when I worked for a large grocery store chain. People don’t read the fine print on the coupons that say you are supposed to have $20 or more for the total before you can take the $5 off. The people that do this, (get the $5 off on a total purchase of less than $20), are coupon scammers. I once had a lady try to use a $10 dollar off coupon for a product she didn’t even buy. She tried to tell me that the manufacturer allows it as long as it is still their brand of products that she did actually purchase. Nope, sorry. Doesn’t work that way!! She ended up getting called out on her scam and stormed out of the store after throwing a tantrum and shoving her cart of items down the front end.
Use the $5 off $20 first then you use the rest of your coupons

How did your 5 off $20 come off if you never reached $20 by using the coupons first
Dollar General applies the threshold coupons to the total BEFORE any other coupons. For instance, on Saturday when there is $5/$25, I could use all of my paper coupons and bring my total down to $1 and still use my $5/$25 digital.
