Vintage CNW@Elmhurst,IL NEW C44-9W and 2 GP7s/SD50

The new and the old pull a very long train out of Proviso.This train has it all,from ore cars to intermodal.They all are running,watch the GPs smoke like crazy.Shot with 8mm video in late May,1994.Too bad I was on the wrong side,but oh well.Un-edited raw video clip.More to follow,nothing newer than 1995.
Gone,but not forgotten!CNW was a class act for sure.

Wow, nice consist showing the evolution of diesel power: The first commercially-successful road switcher built by EMD, the first commercially-successful (though, not well-received at first) six-axle, microprocessor controlled road diesel, and the first commercially-successful domestic 4,400hp diesel.

i feel sorry that that railroad! it should've never ever happend! they were a good copany the same for SOOLINE &MILWAKEE ROAD AND BURLINGTON NORTHERN !! i can understand milwaukee road BUT SOOLINE CHICAGO & NORTHWESTERN AND BURLINGTON NORTHERN!! i mean they didn't have to!
