I’ve never whittled dogwood but I made a walking stick out of it. I went through Boy Scout leader training back in 1982. When we completed the training we went into the woods and cut our own stick. Anyway I carved some designs and words into it . I would love to carve some more on it but we’ve moved a few times and I’ve misplaced the stick. I’m 80 yrs. old. But I’ve not given up on it yet.
Yes, moving tends to displace things! I should grab a larger section of the downed tree and make myself a walking stick, great idea! Thank you and keep looking 😉. 👍✌

Thank you. The smaller blade is from the same Rough Rider knife - it has 3 blades in total. Great little knife. 👍✌

Thank you Jimmy, very much appreciated! The Rough Rider is an older stockman style 3 blade knife. I do not believe the make the exact style any longer, but the new versions look nice as well. 👍✌
