We needed to see her being seriously courted by other men besides Debling. Also her change of hair and dress should have been introduced as soon as the family returned from their sojourn in the country to underline that marriage was something that she seriously thought about.

I really like Penelope and Debling together. There is a lot they need to learn about each other but it’s hard to find someone who would mutually listen and want to take the time to understand you.
I would feel more for Penelope and Colin, if we got more context of their letters to each other the past years of them writing. I feel, a lot of their affection to each other would have slipped through in the letters regardless if they were aware or not of their feelings.
…if you watched the past two seasons, you can observe the clear affection between them. They were never exactly subtle about setting Polin up 😂
@@violetlavi2207 I’m not saying there isn’t any affection, it’s more like, I personally am a fan of hearing what is written in Letters as a tool in story writing if it is ever brought up. Like how we hear Lady Whistledow.
I know people can clearly see the affection in the Polin ship, it’s not a question of why they see it. I, by personal preference, would have loved to hear or see the context of some of their letters. To me we do see sprinkles of how they interact very well with each other but there is usually some guarded behavior too, not to each other but in front of Colin’s family and society. I feel the letters would have a lack of barrier, in theory, and that’s what makes me curious about them.
@@iricrescent2901 fair point! It would be nice to read the letters, though I think we can definitely infer what’s in them (and really, that’s part of the fun, isn’t it? Speculating about what could be in them. Assuming the books didn’t reveal that 😅)

I think that they could have been a good match. He was genuinely interested in her and what she had to say. He asked her real questions and seemed to admire her truer qualities. He was disconnected from the gossip and other shenanigans of the ton. I wish it could have played out a little longer. It was nice to see Penelope speaking confidently and earnestly.

Not at all. I swooned when they were dancing together at the balls. He was kind and focused intently watching her even as she danced with Colin.

Wish to see him till the end. It should be closed up for Colin to get back with her till 6th episode. In 7 we should see uncover of Penelope and in 8 there should be fight between them referring to this matter, it went too fast compared to Kate and Anthony. However I love them. Wish to see Lord Debling some more ♥️
I think there will be a twist and lord debling will marry her because the vibe I'm getting from Colin is just not authentic. She has feelings for Colin but later on she will clarify what her feelings are and realized that is no longer I love with Colin because she is a changed person.
I honestly want that to happen...but come on...we know the endgame

…you think they’re gonna change course when the endgame is already set? 😂 definitely not. Especially since the proposal from Colin happens at roughly the same place in the show as it does in the book (the halfway point). There’s way too much else to cover in the next 4 episodes without pointlessly changing course AGAIN (and it would completely undermine Penelope’s last scene with Debling)

I'm happy for her to be with the person that she truly loved. If she was with the other guy it would not be fair for either of them. Especially to the guy. The other person that she loves does forever to follow his own heart, but that's better than being with someone you don't love at all. Marrying for comfort does not always goes well.
