- In my opinion, this is one of the best L & H guest appearances. It's the second of two from the film Pick A Star (1937) starring Rosina Lawrence. It makes me laugh every time. The tunes, the facial expressions, the trumpet - and that tiny harmonica! Brilliant.
Once you get hooked on Laurel and Hardy at an early age like i was youre hooked forever. They are a select unique few that continue to attract new fans years after their passing away. Now THAT is true comedy legend.

The Laurel and Hardy " shorts " were absolutely their best work! Early to mid 30's with tons of energy and chemistry like no other comedy team....EVER! Like old friends you have always loved!

Nothing ever could match these two. No one literally could compare, even the best ones. Stan and Olliver are the true gods of comedy, and always will be. Timeless perfection, period.
so watchable, so much detail, not just the routine(which is brilliant) but all their mannerisms and fitgeting- clown kings

Hal Roach is the Genius, who teamed up Laurel & Hardy together.
Laurel from England, and Hardy from Georgia USA.
Together, they bought so much laughter throughout the world.

These black n white comic heroes always made our lives colourful...ty Stan n Laurel for your contribution towards my(our) happiness.
I cant help but watch their films and shorts many times. I focus on Stan, then next watch ollie. they are both hilarious. this is a fantastic example of olives genius. watch as Stan 'tops that' when Stan plays the improvised high notes, ollie's actions speak so much. love it. this is one of my favourite scenes they did.

It always beats me how relaxed people were in the twenties/thirties about decoletees,short dresses/skirts etc. compared to fifties and sixties!!
Especially when assuming L and H was probably to be seen at the time by children as well.....good on them....
When it comes to humour,I will always love them,cherrish them and miss them....I can not imagine them being equalled....unfortunatelly....

Still love to watch them. When I was very small my papa used to take me to see all their movies.
Pour leur époque, ils faisaient des sketches incroyables ! Laurel était anglais, et Oliver américain. Au début de leur carrière ils tournaient séparément. Après une fois réunis, ils ont fait la carrière que l ' on connaît ! Ils ont encore leur fan club dans le monde entier.

I am from the Netherlands myself....I,like all of us,know that when you cross the border.....you’re on your own if you only speak Dutch...
So we grow up learning foreign language as Dutch doesn’t get you anywhere....consequence is that most Dutch are used to cope with English,German and than some of us in French as well....a lot is grace to Dutch television ALWAYS using original soundtrack...kids 5 years of age picking up English by watching cartoons....
Many big companies now have helpdesks and the like based in the Netherlands because finding people speaking foreign languages is ever so easy here....
Easy to understand how a disadvantage turns in to an advantage.....

Laurel and Hardy were the top comedy team in their time, then came three stooges, abbott and Costello, Martin and Lewis, and many many more however they got many of their starts from Laurel and Hardy, Harold Lloyd, Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, so roll the history and folks this is hours of original comedy in its purest form, .....

Les deux amis travaillaient différemment. Après avoir répété les sketches, Oliver allait aux champs de courses. Il était fan des courses de chevaux, tandis que Stanley continuait de répéter ses sketches, car il était perfectionniste dans le boulot ! Les deux aimaient les femmes, et ils se sont ruinés pour elles !

As the late Gaylord Carter a theatre organist who often accompanied their pictures pointed out, in a theater, the laughter starts and begins building until it becomes a roar. Truly the best medicine.
