But I have to say that Norm Geisler's Systematic Theology Vol. 1 ("Prolegomena & Bibliology" | Bethany, 2002) and Vol. 2 (God & Creation" | Bethany, 2003) were extremely philosophical. Very aristotelian-thomistic in metaphysical and epistemological underpinnings. But also correcting both Aristotle and Aquinas here and there. His volume 3 ("Hamartiology and Soteriology" | Bethany, 2004) was fairly philosophical. It was rather thomistic in its hylomorphism and anthropology but not thomistic in sacramental view of nature and grace. Volume 4 ("Ecclesiology and Eschatology" | Bethany, 2005) not so philosophical, if I recall correctly. We at BastionBooks.com brought the one-volume edition back into print in 2021 and we are working presently on getting the four-volume set back into print. It may not be the *type* of philosophy that Bill prefers, but these volumes are still quite philosophical nonetheless.
This book should be in every Christians library. Craigs chapter on the trinity and the incarnation are the literary equivalent to David’s sling and stone.
In addition to my school work, I read the first edition three times over the course of my four years of college. After college, I went to Talbot and later went on for my phd in philosophy. Thank you, JP and Dr. Craig!

Hello, This is Yeshitela from Ethiopia, eastern part of Africa. I'm a recent graduate in chemical engineering and a 4th year student, a candidate, in bachelor of theology at Evangelical Theological College in an online-blended program. And a big fan of these godly men. “Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.” Heb. 13:7. As they wouldn't forget their models and dedicated this marvelous work to them I won't forget their unimaginably great influence upon me. When I was a third year chemical engineering student here, where I live, in Ethiopia, I've introduced with Bill’s Reasonable Faith book and I couldn't believe my eyes because I've seen a great and solid argument or approach that rendered a person like me to study Philosophy in a more and passionate manner. And continued reading of Copleston’s 9 vols History of Philosophy. By now I'm reading this, Philosophical Foundation A Christian Worldview, astounding book and taking notes for my future studies. Thank God for these Christlike men and their tremendous impact.
@Homme45, hey brother Yeshitela, that's great. Philosophy is so important for the faith, also in Ethiopia. I can imagine the environment is not too excited about philosophy. The orthodox in Ethiopia may tell you that the early church fathers already answered those questions, and the evangelicals / pentecostals are not yet so interested in philosophy (as the missionaries to Ethiopia in the 19th / 20th century came from pietist traditions that do not place too much value in human reason and natural theology, while (correctly) holding that the Bible is the word of God. So keep up the good work :-)

I cannot thank you enough for this great work Dr. Moreland and Dr. Craig. My bookshelf is filled with your contributions to both popular and academic works of philosophy.
I know he has been battling cancer for a long time. He had cancer in his cheek which was surgically removed several months ago. That is probably contributing to some swelling and disfigurement. Last I heard, that surgery was successful and the cancer was removed.
A wonderful book, praise God, and I pray it will eventually be translated into German. May I ask, why is there no section on AESTHETICS / BEAUTY in the book? It is such an important topic; our world is on the one side superficially focusing on (almost absolutizing) outward appearance, at the same time most secular philosophers say "beauty does not exist", and lacks the necessary metaphysical foundation (since many still assume we live in a post-metaphysical age). I guess that touches upon the different views on whether universals exist (where Dr. Moreland and Dr. Craig disagree). But even on a fictional account of universals, one could say that objective beauty exists, whether or not we can exactly describe what makes individual objects beautiful. As a Christian, one can say that "God IS beauty/beautiful", but that would need to be explicated. As one christian author said: beauty is important as it uplifts the soul, so we should try to be in an environment that offers some beauty. ("Get beauty into your lives"). Aesthetics surrounds us everywhere, from clothing, furniture, to architecture, etc. It seems that the lack of a metaphysical foundation for beauty in philosophy has led to an increase in ugliness in the modern world, in art, music, cinema etc. Ugliness can - in part - be associated with the demonic and can be used for culture-reevolutionary purposes. Aesthetics also has a lot to do with politics etc. So - there are PLENTY of reasons to write on aesthetics. See Roger Scruton's work, who was a conservative, yet not necessarily a christian. So if there is a 3rd edition, I hope you will include a section on beauty/aesthetics.

Interesting how Craig defends viability of intelligent design but then also leans toward biostructualism & modern evolutionary theory. Hopefully James Tour can keep him from wandering too far into "contemporary abiogenesis theory" camp.

I find that Christian apologetics exist to bolster the faith of believers, not to make valid arguments in the world outside the Christian bubble. For all their intelligence and learning, both men have steadfastly maintained the unconscionable doctrine that our perfect creator will torment many, if not most, of his human children forever. Not only is this doctrine unbiblical, it is obviously unreasonable. Indeed it is a moral failure in my opinion to believe this doctrine and an even greater one to teach it and an even greater one to steadfastly continue to believe and even teach it despite so much time to realize it's insanity.

This also shows how this book is a set of apologetics, desperate arguments made for no other reason than to convince the reader that some imaginary being exists, despite all evidence to the countrary.
