Yeah I guess the thing is that the reader can decide their gender in the manga. In the anime she is a female for sure but personally I read the manga in my native language Finnish, which doesn't have gendered pronouns, just one pronoun for all genders which is why I thought he was a man before ever watching the anime. Fact 15 is technically incorrect and worded poorly. Idk if I would call Marley inspired or based on Africa, same with Paradis and Madagascar. There’s nothing about their terrain or architecture that’s evident of those real world places. The towns and areas of Marley are most definitely based off 1940s Europe and none of the populated areas of Madagascar look even remotely similar to the towns in the walls. It’s pretty much just a standard 1800s European/American setting. It just so happens to be that the map of Attack on Titan is our real world flipped upside down so geographically they are those places but saying they’re based on them is a bit misleading as it doesn’t hold any weight in their appearance
