I remember the days here in the US when Huawei was and always will be my all time favorite tech company. Full of the greatest innovation! Like that very good looking smart watch even as a true 23 year automatic dive watch collector! Back before Apple banned Huawei here in the US and yes I said it because I see the trut, but back before I used to write a lot about Huawei and well before they ever made it known I had won and had been nationally recognized for articles I wrote and published that spoke about Huawei would eventually become the third mobile OS in the world.
I am an iphone user but I decided to buy the GT 3 instead of an Apple watch. I like the round classic look with leather strap that I can wear in any ocassion. The sensors are accurate, last and the best feature is the battery life. 14 days versus 1 to 2 days from an apple watch which is rubbish. I can travel abroad for a week and not worry about charging it.
Fantastic watches with style and great hardware. I'm with you on the not needing to respond to messages on the watch. However, what I do miss (as compared to a Wear OS watch) when paired with any phone other than a Huawei phone is the fact that dismissing a notification on the watch does not dismiss it on the phone (and vice versa) and the complete lack of integration with your calendar (assume it need the Huawei calendar app on the phone to actually do this). I would never have swapped from a Huawei watch had it not been for these two issues with the "smarts".
@@brotheroff9393 It's really good looking - I have the titanium bracelet and I've had people ask me about the watch. Battery life is amazing and it charges very quickly. Normally enough to keep it at 100% by charging for 10 minutes while I'm in the shower (I choose to take it off but it's water resistant of course). You get many faces for the watch but if you need to see seconds, the choice is limited. I mainly use the watch for tracking my workouts and sleep. I've had zero issues with synchronizing the watch and my phone. I've had zero issues using the watch since the purchase. It's my first smartwatch and I can't really compare it to others but overall, the level of customisation is satisfactory and what I would expect from a watch. You can't use NFC, but I could not care less about this feature. I personally think that using smartwatches to pay for things is a bit lame.
Bought the GT4 last week. Only after that I heard about the GT4Pro and the better ones... but anyway, I'm happy with that watch. I have the GT2pro which is not good in heartrating (mine that is) and a GT3 se, my "work" watch... For me the most important reason to have Huawei watches is the battery life. But the GT4 also because I like the OS and the watch itself.
Im split between the Huawei GT4 Pro and the Oneplus Watch 2. Very different i know but I have a OnePlus phone so from a compatibility perspective, the OnePlus is the right choice. I get Google connectivity and more importantly, Whatsapp works on OnePlus. However, I really want the GT4 Pro as the design and build is incredible. The trade of is the lack of Google compatibility. Not too bothered about the maps side but if I can get Whatsapp and Spotify to work on GT4 Pro, i might take the gamble and get that. Any advice?
I had two and still wear it. I only replace it because I'm tech sabby, because they still works. The only beef is about they not working as a stand alone device. They require a smarthphone to enable all functions
I wonder why noone is making a 6 months later or 1 year later review on the Ultimate. I was considering purchasing it, but could nowhere find some info how this watch is handling after 20-30 dives for example....
I've just bought the ultimate, mainly for its diving capabilities... But in every TH-cam video about diving with the watch, there's people complaining in the comments that theirs just stopped working while diving... And water isn't covered by warranty... Kind of scary, but I'll try anyway
@@alexbretaudeau I was thinking about doing the same, cause now I can get a new one for about EUR550, but the lack of long term use reviews and those complaints you are mentioning have hold me back. It would be great if you could share your experience after some time.
@@kikobg00 Of course! I should receive it today, and try it free diving next week! I hope I can come back with good news. The thing is that the complains are generally after about a year, so maybe the rubbers that make the watch waterproof degrade after a year... I don't know, we'll see. Either way, I'll tell you my experience in a week or two!
@@kikobg00 Yeah of course, I've been using it for a day now... I'm really happy for the moment. Next week I'll practice some free diving and maybe scuba diving with it, and I'll tell you if it survived! I hope so 😬.

These Huawei watches are classic and they have more functionalities than Apple Watches but they don’t have LTE functionality and lte functionality is very important for smart watches so next classic huawei watches should be LTE functionality and they will be great.
Please get me a deal on the Blue Ultimate that I can review on my Dive Watch channel. I'd love to feature it and it would kick off a great debate! I wished I knew who to contact at Huawei! I would create a full review of that watch here in the US on my channel in a heartbeat!

About 18 months into my GT2 and only now I'm using it fully... absolutely love it but still looking to upgrade to GT4

What an absolute beauty that watch is. It has what it take to be elegant and the same time classic.
One should not overlook the GT3 Pro.

That's because it barely works, and can't hold a reliable connection to your android or apple phone.
