Shockwave has been beaten up badly by an invading force that threatens to destroy his secret lab and ending his life's work. He tries to find a way to save his work but no matter how much he calculated, the outcome was always the same... But Shockwave then realised something. He stood up and faced the overwhelming enemy force... Shockwave: "I believe I see it now... The reason why the Autobots win, even when things seem hopeless... I always thought it illogical, risking everything without a plan... But now I see that they do it because they believe it is right... Now that I am in this situation, I see now that it is only...." Shockwave goes into a battle pose and his one eye lights up. Shockwave: "... Logical." Enter epic fight scene where Shockwave kicks ass while this theme plays.
"Welcome to Cybertron" after those three words you soon realize just how hard the fight will be, also even though brief this was my favorite part of the game
I love this theme because it's a very grandiose and reserved piece for the first version, but then the second version has a guitar wailing and chugging along like something snapped in Shockwave. It reminds me of a story from the IDW comics where he fought off the Dinobots while being vastly outnumbered through sheer unbridled rage even he didn't know he was capable of.
Yeah. When he realized that logic isn't everything, he also turned into blind rage just like the Dinobots and instantly overpowered them until the orbital bombardment put all of them to long sleep on the Earth. That was really cool!
The reason why is because he thinks he’s a good guy and that he’s doing the right thing by saving cybertron, but he doesn’t care if it means to sacrifice a bunch of planets including earth which is why Wheeljack or any other autobot stopped him.

This was released in 2015, and so was Undertale...
Was 2015 the year of boppin soundtracks in video games?
Not to mention Bloodborne.
When the villain is a shounen protagonist.
And you realize Shockwave can make clones of himself with his original toy color and shoot high ranged energy beams.
A shōnen protagonist indeed.
"WE WILL CONTROL THE PLASMA ENERGY!" this was the moment when i started being more scared
"AND ONCE WE DO THE PLASMA ENERGY WILL SAVE CYBERTRON NOT DOOM IT"
then shockwave unleashes he shadow clone jutsu.
shockwave is such an awesome villain
He should appear in supper smash Bros ultimate.

Shockwave: We will save Cybertron, not doom it.

Shockwave: Well... yes. But actually no.

Every soundtrack in this game sounds like final boss music.
