James seems like a surprisingly sensible monarch, especially compared to his successor. No war, budget before glory and almost nobody totally angry at him. Pretty cool.

Koldo Estrada yer but he created hysteria over witchcraft and wizardry, so...he was still kind of insane. (Even religious people back then didn’t believe in that crap), but he did patron Shakespeare’s work on ‘Macbeth’, which is superb choice in my opinion,

Yes, James didn't pull a Charles I and directly make terrible decisions. However, indirectly James hurt England's reputation and it's treasury. James spending habits created huge problems, not necessarily solely within his reign, but led to parliament having much more leverage over English kings than in the Tudor period. Yes, Charles was the one who lost his head, but James wasn't a perfect king, he had many personal shortcomings regarding his personal life and intimacy with favourites, his lackadaisical foreign policy, which alienated Protestants who wanted England to champion the Protestant cause in Europe, and his overly moderate religious policy which pleased no one. James wasn't a bad king, but wasn't a good one either. It's rather telling that the most famous quote attributed to him is the "wisest fool in Christendom" title.

Funny thing about the Gunpowder plot is that when he was discovered Guy Fawkes was trying to dry the gunpowder... with an open flame. That means there was a chance that instead of us learning about a grand conspiracy to kill the King that was thwarted we might be learning about the great historical mystery of the night Westminister suddenly exploded.

      2nd,
The British picket line picture-show is the TMH hallmark and branding IMO.
It's easy to replicate what others do when it comes to general business practices. It is much harder to forge your own path. If a business forges it's own wholely independent identity it is in control of its own destiny. Following in the footsteps of others will always result is comparisons and limitations. I don't think there's anything wrong with doing what works and what you need to do to pay the bills, but as I see it, this has independent and unique potential.
That said, I am a poor gimp, that can't back up my words with my wallet. If anyone really believes in this British history content, please pay a pound for a picket on patreon
