I think people under estimate the very big potential and vibrant energy when it comes to an INFP and ISFP relationship. Both are very creative. If the ISFP and INFP relationship done right the energy of the relationship can be very powerful. An artist the ISFP and a poet the INFP combined together makes a good duo. I’m an INFP and I adore the ISFP.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful video, I am INFP (52) been married to my ISFP wife (51) for 30 years and I could never understand how she would get on the kick of spending hours racking the front yard to make it look beautiful, when all I could see was, the leaves are just going to blow back in the yard, but I just support her because it's important to her. I on the other hand whilst being the racking assistant, see leaves in the gutter and say outload, I should clean those gutters SOMEDAY and her saying...you should clean those NOW.... I can't win

I also got married young-ish and do realize now that I would have been better off with an ENFJ or ENTJ but my relationship with my ISFP is good enough at least. So I will stick it out. But it’s lonely a lot. I’m glad to see another couple who understands the deficiencies in this pairing but also sees the strengths that are there that can keep you from leaving for greener pastures. My hubs and I both recognize getting married was a mistake but we both also value commitment and sticking it out. People say INFP’s are selfish but we are also people-pleasers so we can lay down our lives so that others can be happy. My mom was an INFP and she left my dad so I won’t do that to my own children no matter how hard things would ever get. And my husband has an amazing heart so I would be foolish to leave anyway even though our areas of lack can really disappoint my idealistic INFP self and make me feel alone. My daughter is an INFP so I feel blessed to have someone in my corner.
My husband also has zero interest in helping other people. He just wants to “live in his body”-by doing extreme sports and playing with the kids. I enjoy those things but to be honest I’m always waiting for my husband to “progress” and “mature” onto “more significant things,” but I have to remind myself he will never value that. He just wants to enjoy having a body to use and then die someday. It’s that simple. And yes I do feel exasperated but I like that he is so stable and simple since I’m not. It helps me in practical ways even if it’s not very romantic.
Sorry for the INFP over sharing 😂.

My INFP best friend and me (an ISFP) are the opposites of you and your wife when it comes to the "leaving an impact ambition vs. not caring about leaving an impact". I have a certain vision of what I want to be 5 years from now, what kind of job I want to have, what kind of person I'll be, and I want to be recognized and be one of the best in what I'm doing. Meanwhile my INFP best friend doesn't really care about the future and prefer to just experience life as it goes, she's even surprised that I think that far into the future. Even with all that ambition of mine, I still don't know where to start, and lately I have been feeling quite pessimistic about my goals. Funnily enough, she's the one that actually grounds me by helping me seeing things in a bigger picture, and that it's okay to take things slowly, that I can take up other options. I find it kind of ironic how she's the one that actually put me back to reality with her Ne hahaha, even though I literally have Se in my stack. I really love her, I'm so grateful for INFPs :'

Huh...interesting, as an INFP I actually think I would've appreciated someone being willing to put more care into the physical environment since it's hard for me to get myself to do that even though I know I should. (See my comment on my last video.) I only feel disrespected if someone yells at me, tells me I'm a slob, or bad person for not doing it. I just look at all those little things and get overwhelmed. It's like my mind just shuts down trying to actually DO all those tasks. It might take off some stress if I were approached supportively about that stuff and given that outside impetus to move without being berated ESTJ-style (my mom! XD ). There's a difference.

I would have to disagree with you on the part about making an impact. The degree to which an impact is made is not indicated by whether you have Ne or Ni, it merely determines where that impact is directed. I’m an ISFP and consider the whole planet to be my home. Whatever happens to it will reach my backyard eventually. It will reach my children if I have any, and their children. I guess the difference between the ambitiousness of Ne vs Ni, is that Ni will want to make an impact and protect something that is very personal to it. A cause that is personal. People in certain parts of the world who are dumping so much trash in the ocean affects me, people buying into destructive philosophies that harm the planet and the beauty of the world affects me. I’m not an island, when I go to a certain city and it’s auto centric and ugly af, then that very much concerns me and I would want to make an impact on that. Lots of ISFP’s have made such big impacts on the world. Michelangelo for example. And Caravaggio. The impact they’ve given to the world is the impact of expressing what they found beautiful in the most authentic way possible. They’re just a few of many other examples. Your vid made it sound as if being an ISFP makes you indifferent to the world. Really, it’s a very selfish type of impact that the ISFP wants to make. I admire the INFP’s ability to have a broader vision about this. I have the desire to make an impact in abstract ways too, if such abstract thinking affects the physical environment. Everything must connect to the endpoint that reaches my senses, that reaches the environment itself. Ne users have a broader range of what they care about and want to influence. But sometimes they’re pretty indifferent. I think indifference in itself depends on the person.

    Dear Reader,
I want you to know today that Jesus Christ loves you.
The fact is, He loves you so much that He made the ultimate sacrifice for you! You see, God is a perfect, just God who will not tolerate sinful people coming into heaven, and the problem is that we are sinful by nature. No matter how much good we do, it will never be enough to meet God's perfect standard. The good Lord knew this, and He loved us so much that He came down to earth, lived a sinless life, and died to take the sin of the world.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
All you have to do is ask the Lord to forgive your sin and tell Him that you accept His gift of salvation as the ONLY way to eternal life.
Please consider salvation today; you never know when your time may be up. Remember, Jesus loves you! I hope to meet you in heaven one day!
