I remember her as a very young rat hanging at the local skater haunts in Fort Myers. Blew my mind seeing her on the Tony Hawk game years later. I was the generation ahead of her so wasn't into skating, but knew most of the kids that were. Late 80s early 90s
Great skater. The line in tennis courts was so good. The inward heal was like magic. In 90s i could land most tricks, but inward heels always gave me trouble.
Pioneer and champion!!! She open the skate for all girls Even if it was a marketing strategy for open the skate boarding...to other sector of people$$$$$$$$ Love your style b b....💗💗💗
did you not watch skating back then? even the grown men of the 90s skated like the average 15 year old boy these days; this was like right before the cusp of blowing everything out with gnarliness (2000s era) when street skating was chill and hadn't gotten competitive yet. 3 decades have gone by since her era, skateboarding has progressed that much skill-wise.
@@i-never-look-at-replies-lol Mmhh, sure koston or mike caroll level is every boy level nowadays ... i did watch skater of the 90's but apart for being a woman, skateboarding wise, i don't see revolutionary things
@@i-never-look-at-replies-lol I did and it was really cool to see a girl doing it too. She was an average skater for a pro though. Her parts in the Toy Machine videos were nothing special.
Her style is so dope and natural 🤩💥💥 And love how you (Steezy) repeat dope lines in general in the videos 👏👏
great compilation. hadn't seen lots of these clips. Legend!!
The Steamer paved the way for the chicks we have now. She's also a gnarly surfer too.
Watching this with my 3 year old daughter to make sure she sees how the road to skater chicks in the olympics began. Legend.
Take the female out of it,she's just a rad skater by any standard
Elissa Steamer is the Tony Hawk of female skateboarders 🫡
