Hi mate, yes this is one of my favourite and most scenic permissions. the finds have been drying up though, BUT it keeps popping up with the most incredible finds, last time I was here I had the sundial and the most stunning George 4th silver coin. I've had hammered silver off here, William III silver, Victorian silver, George III silver.. there just has to be a gold coin or a gold ring on here somewhere! Hi mate, slowly getting through replying to so many comments here!! The knee is on the mend but I've definitely sprained a ligament, it will be giving me some jip for many months ahead I think. But as long as I can climb gates and get over walls and get about my rugged sloped permissions I will be OK. This is exactly why you will never see me metal detecting worked fields, the condition of this coin was perfect, preserved in time for several centuries, it lay there completely still and undisturbed. Coincidentally I was in that field again only a few days ago. The ground was frozen solid, I was only able to dig around 20 holes, mostly moo tubes and a couple of buttons n coins. Hi William, yes I watched Paddy's video and infact I was at their house a few weeks ago and held that coin. It felt incredibly light weight and I am on the fence about if it is a real one or a very good counterfeit. Hi mate, the knee was giving me some jipp for a few days, luckily I think its only a sprained ligament and not a tear. I certainly wouldn't be playing football for a while but I am able to walk and go about normal day life and normal metal detecting again already. Ayup mate, numerous people have confirmed the 'wasp' to be an Asian Hornet, and something not to be meddled with, so probs not a good idea me forcing it onto my coil like that haha. The coin was what i call a top shelfer, very rare and uncommon to find. Days like this are what its all about for me, this is living life at its very best. Cheers Shawn mate, they certainly don't come up very often, i was absolutely buzzing when I saw that beautiful early milled glow coming from the clod. How could I not send the drone off into that mist, it was stunning and captured some great footage. Hovering above the misty river with the rays of sunlight shining through, just magic. The drone is an incredible addition to my kit and as its so small it easily fits in my backpack with my other kit. As always thanks for tuning in and supporting what I do

Hi Morgan, thank you so much for the awesome comments, its definitely one of the best coins I've found for a while. With regards to gaining permissions, it is not easy. My advice would be dress smart, look presentable, be super well mannered and enthusiastic, try to engage with the landowner and have a conversation. Do not go straight in with "hi can I metal detect your land", that is the worst thing you can do. Sweet talking landowners is a fine art and comes with experience. I been doing it 8 years or more now and have got very good at it. Although I still get nervous driving up them tracks not knowing what I'm going to encounter. Best of luck to you sir

Amazing sights from the drone, seeing a lot of drone footage coming to the metal detecting channels , does give a great perspective of the lone wolf hinter amongst nature. That silver slab absolute unreal coin and very rare in that condition as you know. Great editing and liking the music overlays here and there. That cat would of looked great in slow mo jumping Peace out ✌🏼 what an awesome cat 🐈 👌🏻
The drone has been one of my best investments, I can capture unlimited angles and shots never before possible. I continue to strive to improve and grow my channel in my own unique style, which yes I agree others try to emulate. @@HistoryRevisiteduk I wanted a cameraman to be able to follow me but I could not afford one. The drone I went for has the capabilities I required (auto track) the guys you mention do not have this type of drone. The only other guy is Futurebleeps #dronebuddies. Yes I had to think long and hard about investing £1,200 into my channel, but with most things in life you get back what you put in 🤙

Hi again mate, yeah I think I got quite lucky and only sprained a ligament, it feels OK now but I bet I wouldn't be able to play football for a while. I don't care though as long as I can metal detect, climb gates and steep slopes etc :) Hope your knee recovers soon mate

Lovely find great hunt. That Queen Anne was absolutely amazing bet you definitely put that on the top shelf. At first I thought you had kept a secret and you found a gold ring but I remembered you had this beauty. That cat was also very friendly and wouldn't leave you alone. That was a Asian hornet very big and can be quite dangerous I think but hope you and the family are well. Keep it up Gareth

No I don’t think its an Asian hornet, I think its an English one, they do look quite different! The Asian ones are becoming a pain as they eat Honey bees, English ones aren’t a problem. Lived in France where Asians are common, and if you find one in this country you should report it as we don’t want them to get established here’s!! Its very rare for them to sting unless YOU HURT THEM, but if they do I does hurt!! Great video I’m always inspired after watching one of yours. Keep up the good work. Mike

The weather and conditions were exquisite, how could I have not sent my drone off into that lovely early morning mist hey :) The knee is definitely on the mend, won't be playing football anytime soon, but i have long since retired from football anyway so no matter there. Hi mate, yes this is one of my favourite and most scenic permissions. the finds have been drying up though, BUT it keeps popping up with the most incredible finds, last time I was here I had the sundial and the most stunning George 4th silver coin. I've had hammered silver off here, William III silver, Victorian silver, George III silver.. there just has to be a gold coin or a gold ring on here somewhere! Hi mate, slowly getting through replying to so many comments here!! The knee is on the mend but I've definitely sprained a ligament, it will be giving me some jip for many months ahead I think. But as long as I can climb gates and get over walls and get about my rugged sloped permissions I will be OK. This is exactly why you will never see me metal detecting worked fields, the condition of this coin was perfect, preserved in time for several centuries, it lay there completely still and undisturbed. Coincidentally I was in that field again only a few days ago. The ground was frozen solid, I was only able to dig around 20 holes, mostly moo tubes and a couple of buttons n coins. Hi William, yes I watched Paddy's video and infact I was at their house a few weeks ago and held that coin. It felt incredibly light weight and I am on the fence about if it is a real one or a very good counterfeit. Hi mate, the knee was giving me some jipp for a few days, luckily I think its only a sprained ligament and not a tear. I certainly wouldn't be playing football for a while but I am able to walk and go about normal day life and normal metal detecting again already. Ayup mate, numerous people have confirmed the 'wasp' to be an Asian Hornet, and something not to be meddled with, so probs not a good idea me forcing it onto my coil like that haha. The coin was what i call a top shelfer, very rare and uncommon to find. Days like this are what its all about for me, this is living life at its very best. Cheers Shawn mate, they certainly don't come up very often, i was absolutely buzzing when I saw that beautiful early milled glow coming from the clod. How could I not send the drone off into that mist, it was stunning and captured some great footage. Hovering above the misty river with the rays of sunlight shining through, just magic. The drone is an incredible addition to my kit and as its so small it easily fits in my backpack with my other kit. As always thanks for tuning in and supporting what I do

Hi Morgan, thank you so much for the awesome comments, its definitely one of the best coins I've found for a while. With regards to gaining permissions, it is not easy. My advice would be dress smart, look presentable, be super well mannered and enthusiastic, try to engage with the landowner and have a conversation. Do not go straight in with "hi can I metal detect your land", that is the worst thing you can do. Sweet talking landowners is a fine art and comes with experience. I been doing it 8 years or more now and have got very good at it. Although I still get nervous driving up them tracks not knowing what I'm going to encounter. Best of luck to you sir

Amazing sights from the drone, seeing a lot of drone footage coming to the metal detecting channels , does give a great perspective of the lone wolf hinter amongst nature. That silver slab absolute unreal coin and very rare in that condition as you know. Great editing and liking the music overlays here and there. That cat would of looked great in slow mo jumping Peace out ✌🏼 what an awesome cat 🐈 👌🏻
The drone has been one of my best investments, I can capture unlimited angles and shots never before possible. I continue to strive to improve and grow my channel in my own unique style, which yes I agree others try to emulate. You won't see the attention to detail and genuine hard graft in these other channels though, always quality over quantity here. Onward to 10,000 subscribers 🤙 Thanks for visiting my channel

@@HistoryRevisiteduk I wanted a cameraman to be able to follow me but I could not afford one. The drone I went for has the capabilities I required (auto track) the guys you mention do not have this type of drone. The only other guy is Futurebleeps #dronebuddies. Yes I had to think long and hard about investing £1,200 into my channel, but with most things in life you get back what you put in 🤙

Lovely find great hunt. That Queen Anne was absolutely amazing bet you definitely put that on the top shelf. At first I thought you had kept a secret and you found a gold ring but I remembered you had this beauty. That cat was also very friendly and wouldn't leave you alone. That was a Asian hornet very big and can be quite dangerous I think but hope you and the family are well. Keep it up Gareth

Thanks John, definitely a top shelf coin for me that is, very rare and uncommon to find Queen Anne silver coins. @@TheDukesOfDerbyshire it's really does help as I always watch alot of videos as learning never stops and yes getting out there and using the machine is just 1 part as having someone show you who's used as detector and has dug signals that you haven't educates you more so you don't pass them over and using this in my days out have shown me that result and honestly keep the work up your doing perfect and with explanations too all the best 👌

I think your wasp is actually a hornet - lovely creatures and very non aggressive normally.

No I don’t think its an Asian hornet, I think its an English one, they do look quite different! The Asian ones are becoming a pain as they eat Honey bees, English ones aren’t a problem. Lived in France where Asians are common, and if you find one in this country you should report it as we don’t want them to get established here’s!! Its very rare for them to sting unless YOU HURT THEM, but if they do I does hurt!! Great video I’m always inspired after watching one of yours. Keep up the good work. Mike

Hi Oliver, thanks again for such awesome comments, I really do enjoy such great feedback. This coin is my best ever early milled silver find and best coin find of 2022 (so far). The weather and conditions were exquisite, how could I have not sent my drone off into that lovely early morning mist hey :) The knee is definitely on the mend, won't be playing football anytime soon, but i have long since retired from football anyway so no matter there.
