Great! I found a couple of these. Those underwater bubbles are amazing. If you go to the "edge of the world" in the NW, there is a shelf tucked behind the giant waterfalls at 5.5 - 28.7, suitable for a small base. They really should have introduced cliff platforms with this map - so many places they'd be useful.
There's a handful of QoL things they should have introduced already imo - instead of waiting for the map where they debuted. Easy wins they've been missing so far
I always go for the visually gorgeous spots, I think I’m going to build my big base in the redwoods because I love waterfalls. The area with all the ape statues I so wish you could get as high up as them, I love that building you can see on the mountain! I kind of want to recreate that
Awesome video, helped me a lot in narrowing down where I want to live :D One thing, a friend of mine ran into an insta-kill zone in the underworld cavern that you talked about last (atleast I think that's the place if I didn't misunderstand him), at coords 51 48, just be careful for now and hopefully it'll be fixed.
Great vid though I'd caution folks against building on the iceberg too big as the Penguins are one of the only reliable sources of Poly (unless theres also Penguins in the arctic biome?), and the foundations will kill de spawns. Def a cool spot though, and never hurtd to be by an Ob.
I just got this game a week or so ago. I set up a little shack on that first location. Blue Obby Island(?) but on the opposite side of the island. I’ve been looking for somewhere to set up a proper base and this has been really helpful. Skull Island is my favourite place so far. I hadn’t thought about occupying the island nearby. Question: what happens with the spawn points when you put buildings there? For example, if I build a hut next to a metal node, will it still respawn because I haven’t built over it? If I do build over it but delete the building, will the spawn point come back? Cheers 🥂
ok so when building a base if you build next to a metal node and then you harvest the metal node it will despawn. However if you make your base at least 11 foundations away from the metal node it will come back. I usually build near resources but not right on top of

I saw the shelf I thought in & out might be hard there until you get cryos nice if you wanna get away from it all

If you are 12 foundations away or less it doesn’t kill spawns or nodes from respawning. That’s why i recommend the shelf nearby not the iceberg itself

There is a spot under the big waterfall. Under the big land bridge.big cave with a few entrances in the waterfall
In the redwoods? yeah it's nice in there. lots of pvp people build in there or they used it.
