*Full Course Status: Module 2 is 80% complete*
Hopefully you've come to realize that I put _a lot_ of effort into the content I create. I'm not a course creator that will simply turn on the screen recording and ramble, then call that teaching. I meticulously plan _every_ module and lesson to _maximize the learning and value_ for the student. To that end, it takes me a while to put together courses.
After Module 2, I have about 8 more modules planned going deeper into Networking. I plan to make this course _the_ premier Networking course that gives _everyone,_ in _any_ tech discipline, the Networking knowledge they need to succeed.
*Let's face it, everything is connected to the Internet these days, and understanding how that works will set you apart professionally.*
*If you want to support the full course's development, then the best way to do that is to spread the word about this content* . By itself it already conveys _a lot_ of value. So sharing even just the 7 lessons (13 videos, all free) in this series will help whoever you share it with.
Plus ... many online communities would greatly benefit from these videos. Think of all the Internet points you could acquire if you shared this series (karma, likes, follows, etc.) 😉

Man I don't think you understand how much your channel help uni student or anyone interested in networking in general. You shouldn't be "thanking us" for watching your videos. It should be the other way around and we the consumers saying thank you is really an understatement. Your teachings are honestly so great. I don't even need to "cram" the definitions for these because your teaching and using videos and pictures to illustrate your point, make understanding and knowing the definitions 100 times easier. Seriously, you do not need to thank us. Yes, perhaps you're getting some revenues from us watching and perhaps why you're grateful, but what you are doing to "paying" us compared to what we are paying you is like a scam. I'm probably typing some nonsense here, but really... I'm just flabbergasted with your teaching. I'm more than grateful for it. And you will be the main reason I will pass my networking course in uni. Would absolutely love to donate to you for making these all free, but i'm a broke student unfortunately. Just so grateful for your time and dedication to do all these.

Not everybody understand network engineering and computer since
It's really useful and great video but the real equation would be how do routers really work in the real world how do they take the path and how to create your own router which routers are the best and their operating systems which one is best.
I really would like to know how do they work on practice like take one and disassemble it hardware and software like he shown with two routers in two lan groups and why router is connected to the ISP modem and "is my router connect to my ISP modem-router first can I control it or by default must be connected to the ISP modem ?" .
And what tools do routers provide as software how to reset it and how to setting the router settings
      Overall great contents for beginners

@@mohammedissam3651 I don't know the details of hardware and router development. Only the software and how they are meant to work. I outlined some of that in the Router videos of this series:

I like the main takeaway summaries that you do at the end of the video, and the graphics that you use to show how the network devices are connected and organized in the network (along with the animations) ....very helpful for visual learners! The real-life example graphics help also (the Acme Corporation and its subnets and how it all connects to the greater Internet via routers, etc.). I was confused at first when I first read in another source that routers have multiple IP addresses, and then now it totally makes sense when you explained what a gateway is.
My mind was blown at the end when you said that all those other networking devices (load balancers, access points, proxies, etc.) can perform switching and/or routing functions ....that really simplifies things and helps maintain the bigger picture of how important switches and routers are to networking.
You are doing a service to society (and I mean the world) by providing this easy-to-understand information for free, which is why I love TH-cam (and also why I wished this existed back when I was in school haha). I love how knowledge is being openly shared with the hopes of having a net effect of human society (on the global scale) evolving and progressing as a whole with this accessible and easy-to-digest knowledge. Learning is a life-long process, and your teaching style makes learning networking very interesting and fun!
You surely have a gift with your knowledge of networking, but you also have a gift in teaching which I think is even more valuable because it can translate to other topics. Kudos to you kind sir, and please keep doing what you do best! Cheers.

Dude wtf!!! I have spent hours studying material just to barely grasp the concepts. You've been able to put everything together in such a simple way it's mind blowing. I just don't understand why some of the networking concepts are so overcomplicated, it almost makes me feel like there is some type of gatekeeping going around lol Big Thank You!!!

This is great. I'm only 2 videos in but the thorough, clear, and concise way you explained things have earned a subscribe and me not skipping TH-cam ads.
I've tinkered with PCs / Linuxes / programming since childhood but I've never gone through formal computer science training, this has served the best concept refresher while I'm researching into building a home server via virtual networks. Thanks and continuing on to your next lecture!

Thank you so much for this course! It's a gem! You helped me to finally understand how networking works in a simple and understandable way, as for someone who is not a tech geek and tries to learn and understand from scratch how computing really works. This is so helpful at my current job. Kudos!

@@PracticalNetworking I am for sure, I'm trying to find a good course book on this subject to go with the videos. I dont do so well in a class room setting but need the quizzes and questions. If you have any advice I'd love to hear what you think.

    • @PracticalNetworking
      @PracticalNetworking  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@marshallwages5035 A lot of why I created this series was because I didn't feel the Industry tought networking in a simple / practical way. So I created my own teaching curriculum (and recorded it in this series).
As for quizzes and questions, I'd recommend finding a community (reddit, discord, etc) and challenge a few others to go through the material and quiz each other. This way you're learning by both writing questions and answering them.
