      Definitely what I thought. The sets that came out when I was younger was sometimes more realistic but still playable, but now they're more playable than ever. (Except the speed champions ones of course:) )

      @@ministig63ace Lego still has a lot for older crowds, especially with star wars, but they have sadly been aiming much younger lately. Luckily, the adult based sets we do get are amazingly detailed, with speed champions series 3 and the modular series being better then ever before. Still will miss when we got realistic transportation or city buildings, but with the MOC community taking off I expect that fan made sets will take care of that in time

      Some of my first sets were lego firefighter and police. Tiny tiny models with some pretty decent detail. I upgraded to lego racers and bionicle.

    I don't understand why Lego always feels the need to group their large plain and airport models together into a single set. It would be better both design-wise and price-wise to release one big set of *just* an airplane, and then another big set of *just* an airport. For example, had this set been split into two builds, you could have the airplane for about $80, which I think more people would prefer. Then instead of a tiny airport that has barely any playability, you could have a compatible police-stationed-sized one, with a full checkin, baggage claim, and concourse.

      i think the main reason is that, to kids, what good is an airport without any planes? and what good is a plane without an airport to load/unload passengers to/from? Two stand alone sets of those things, at least from LEGO's perspective, wouldn't sell and it's more appealing to children for both to be packaged in one set. Plus people might see an airplane and an airport as separate sets and will be upset they need to buy both to get the maximum amount of play value.

      P33b4Ugo5omwh3r3 if you think Lego is bad look at roblox 2 months ago they added a 4th or 5th category that is games that are played a lot it’s so stupid and they aren’t refusing to fix their stupid censor system even though the player base is begging for it if ur account is registered as you being under 13 you can’t see numbers and you can’t say simple role play phrases like “ima go shower” and if u are registered as 13+ you can see umbers and the censor is slightly less strict. So if you say something the system doesn’t like it turns it all into hashtags. They are also thinking of allowing game devs to make their games only accessible
      To the people who pay monthly for roblox “premium” which is a whole other mistake because some games need you to pay a small one time fee to access them (these games are incredibly welly made) so at this point I think roblox might drive itself into the ground if they don’t listen to the community more. Like hell they listen to the developers who go to the yearly RDC (Roblox Developer Confrence” each year but there is only like 2-300 people who are invited each year and they show their ideas and get a lot of feedback but as far I am sure they don’t use a lot of it! So as far as I know Lego is doing incredibly apart from their prices because heck they have an entire line for fan submissions that got support from other fans!!! Eh that is my opinion on what u said sorry if this is a bit mean anyways have a nice day

      I wish they would change the large plane wing piece to 2 separate pieces,that only cover the walls.
      The cargo bay should have been only 8 studs long,not 12,and the bathroom should have been maybe a stud row smaller. Luggage goes into the cargo bay,the plane is too large with too many passengers to need a terrible car taking up all the space.

    • @nihili4196
      @nihili4196 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. I'm pretty sure that reference was put into this set WAY before Ideas set was denied, but it still leaves bad impression. Unfortunate timing.
      Also, it's kinda funny when LEGO as a company wants to distance themselves from Bionicle theme, but individual designers still loves this theme and reference it as often as possible.

    • @sweetchristmas101
      @sweetchristmas101 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@nihili4196 There is absolutely NOTHING to suggest they are distancing themselves from Bionicle. The designers answer to management for what they design, so it's safe to say LEGO is fine with including such Easter Eggs.

      I know the guy who designed this plane. He said it was originally designed as a trijet but LEGO legal then got involved and told him the third engine had to be removed because it looked too much like a dc-10. That’s why the vertical stabilizer is so small. There is supposed to be an engine under the fin and above the brick.

    I feel as though this plane is amazing, mostly because this one will take you to a tropical island and combine it with the 2018 passenger train, they look good together. Also the airplane from 2016 is a good casual passenger plane and now having one that will take you to a tropical island is great. It looks and is so work alongside that old one.

  • @lobonocturno420
    @lobonocturno420 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Honestly there should be at least minimum 10 passenger seats in my opinion, its simply very ridiculous to have only 5 passenger seats in such a huge Boing lol, really a shame. You really need have to modify this plane by yourself to have more seats, i would not mind to make the cargo space smaller just to put there several suitcases or boxes instead putting in there a whole car, then add up 6 to 8 more seats so it can be at least a 11 to 13 passenger plane. I mean when you look the size of this plane from the outside you would think there would easily fit in 20 to 30 passengers.

  • @robertwilliamsonjr.5976

    I sincerely think the lego passenger terminal 60104 set is way better lego did not have to make new molds for the plane nose and back the terminal isint big there is not much seats on the plane there is not a fueling tank and the stickers aren't aligned well and there is more cargo due to the fact its called a passenger plane and there is Less pieces and it can't pose well Like in a take off position and its not tall and standing like the others the other set did have large peices and more pieces and so I am upset with this set.

    What I don’t like about this set is that it has seats for two pilots, but only has one, and there’s a service cart, but no flight attendant. Also, the terminal is super small! I like the 2010 3182 airplane a lot better. It had better quality, and had a lot more. Although, there was only one passenger lol.
    Another thing: Does anyone else not like the fact that they’re starting to NAME some of the mini figures? It’s kid of annoying, because I liked making up my own, and now there’s ‘Duke Detain’ and ‘Poppy Star’ and ‘Frey’s McCloud’. It’s kinda stupid.

    So I saw the title and started thinking about "my correct" number of seats for this set;
    First, I thought 12, that seemed pretty reasonable because of the length. Then, I remembered it's Lego, so 10 would have been my estimate. Then, I remembered the title, so it must be 8 seats!
    Finally, I find out it's actually 5!? A "passenger" plane... Oh well, you can always mod it to fit more ;)

  • @blablaennogwat

    Though the setup of the rear landinggear looks strange, it IS pretty accurate! On real big planes the center gear is placed further to the back then those under the wing!
    Combination planes with passengers and cargo do/did exist as well. I've for instance flown on a KLM 747 with this configuration...
