Love the video, Love the expansion! Only real issue I have found as well as others I've played with is World quest gear being lower ilvl than your character, other than that its pretty amazing to play, it's the first time I've actually participated in PVP since vanilla and getting a bounty or hunting one is immensely fun being chased by dragon riders.

I will say, first thing I did was become best friends with Wrathion for the black skins and the scrappy world snail. Feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface still too. Cheers

I've really been taking my time with this xpac, i'm only level 66. Going through each zone, exploring, doing all the quests I can find, dragon races, etc. it's really been a ton of fun! And being a single dad as well, I don't have all the time in the world so being able to just hop in for a bit and have some fun in nice vibrant areas (as opposed to literal hell) has been super therapeutic for me. To me, the expansion is overwhelming and that's a good thing. There is so much to do, I don't know what to focus on first other than increasing my iLevel to get ready for higher end content and raiding. SL, BFA, and Legion all felt there was a defined path to follow in order to accumulate the resources required to progress. Not so with DF. One day I feel like questing, other days doing 5 mans, other days exploring or riding my dragon around and opening up the map. With so much to do I feel I won't be bored in a month waiting for the next patch like previously.

Correction: An Evoker charging their empowered spells doesn’t always make them more powerful. For some it just shift the damage from a DoT into more instant damage. For some it just makes then hit more targets. Both have different uses.

As someone who absolutely refused to heal before, I am currently maining Preservation Evoker. It’s just that much fun. The whole time magic/rewind aesthetic alone got me hooked into this spec. Though I do agree that mana is a slight issue at a higher level, it doesn’t take away the fact that it’s just legit fun to play, even if it’s not the strongest heal spec out there.
Dragonriding wouldn't be #1 without the amazing zones and how they were crafted. I was just casually flying through the zones for the first time on my way back to the Centaurd zone and I was genuinely impressed with how cool the zone design was for Azure Span and Thaldraszus.

The alt friendly is the best thing for me as I'm a altholic but also have work / family now so my time is limited. I'm level 67 I'm so glad it doesn't take that long compared to other expansions to level to max level. I've only done the story line quests for now and I'm loving it.
There's so much to do, loads of side quests, a massive area to explore, and storylines waiting for you to find them. It's not just about dungeons, raiding or getting geared up, it's a out being immersed in the whole lore which is present every time you turn a corner, or ride your dragon over a peak. I have an Evoker, but my main is a hunter who I am playing right now, but from the bit I've played I found them lovely characters to play. The professions are updated and amazing. And you have go places and learn things to advance which is great. My hunter is an alchemist and herbalist.
Saw a painting in a forest somewhere during a quest, could interact to "finish this masterpiece". Have no idea what it did, but I liked it. Some mystery.
I love the Evoker but I really suck at playing mine. I'm using Preservation when I play solo but switch to Devastation in Dungeons because I'm not confident I can do a good job...
Been holding back, waiting for it all to crumble again. But, I think I have seen and heard enough, im gonna buy DF for myself tonight. Thanks for the info 🤙
I like that we as players come to this world and the leaders of each help us fight, you can see every dragon fight in the sky. Do you guys remember BFA, when Genn stood afk in Boralus for 2 years?, it's awesome it's not only we who fights.
@@kye4216 Done that so many times, but still feel crappy at the end of it when it start sucking. So this time i'm just skipping that. Hopfully it can retain the players and be good all through the exp
I knew that Dragonflight was something special when I, by pure accident because I mismanaged vigor while trying to fly out of the Green Dragon area, ran into a bar for 4 legged creatures to speed date Watching dryads mingling with drakonids and all of them shunning me because I have 2 legs was the funniest thing I found in the game in a long time
I love Dragonflight so far. I haven’t had the uncontrollable urge to play WoW all day long for so long now. So far that magic that WoW has back in the day that got me hooked is back.
The main thing I said that all my friends agreed with me on and we all had that awkward laugh where we then fell into mid life crisis' at 25 is that I am having so much fun in DF it made me realise I wasn't having fun with WoW for the past 5 years.
Glad you're still kicking Nixxiom! I'm really happy you're making quality content as always. I doubt you remember me from like 5 years ago Twitch, my username was Remis
Dragon riding is addicting, and I know I'm not the only one who's never used a flight path at all since launch. Lol playing the Targaryen theme in the background while collecting glyphs is a beautiful experience. Fingers crossed for fire breathing abilities in the future.
I'm confused lmao. Is the expansion more $$ or just the subscription? I haven't played since they added death knights and just got a gaming PC. Is it worth it to get back in?
Dragonflight has been the first expansion I don't immediately go to Icy Veins for levelling/endgame build (since IVs release) I don't care if my arms warrior may be underperforming because damnit it was my choice and what I like Big agree on Dragonriding being the best feature so far, I have not used a flight path once on the isles. Only things I wish for from it atm, is old world riding (obv), an air brake button (like a full or quick slow down so I can do cool landings at my destination without slamming into the ground), and a hover button, maybe one that slowly drains vigor so that its still an active skill
When it comes to the leveling experience, I think this is the most fun I have had since WoD. Yes WoD overall was not good, but it had an amazing leveling experience with loads of treasures, amazing zones with some cool stories. The garrison was amazing at first, and such a great addition to the leveling experience. Now we got dragonriding which just feels awesome, but also what I think are the best designed zones in WoW. They are gorgous, but also so big and spectacular to witness, they are also designed much more vertically than previous expansions, which makes them so much more interesting. The world feel a lot more alive now, they have really added some much needed detail to the world, interesting oddities to find, animals doing things besides just standing still or walking about. So far I have not exactly gotten the feel of crafting, I like that it has been actually usefull for me during leveling and when I reached max level. Something I have not really felt since WotLK or something like that. I am having a hard time figuring out what to specialize in though, which is why I can't really say for sure what if I like the crafting system. I do wish they made some more unique stuff for crafters, cosmetic gear or anything that makes them a lot more attractive to people. Like this was a perfect opportunity to give leather workers the ability to craft some cosmetic quivers or something like that. Just reskinned armor and weapons is not interesting enough for it to be viable items for long. For me the Evoker is the most disappointing part of the faction, I just think it basically goes against the MMO genre, I mean why on earth would you make a class and a race that does barely have visible armor and gear? The prime purpose of an MMO like this is getting new loot and most importantly, shiny and cool looking new loot. What motivation is there to even play an Evoker when you don't get anything new? They will always be restricted to the lacking character creation options and some belts and shoulder pads. The class may play well, but I will probably never really touch it. Dragonriding is so far the most fun feature for sure, but I am a bit confused by its inclusion. DId they not say we would not get any borrowed power, so this mount system needs to continue on with newer expansions or people will be pissed off. And one major issue is that it has made all the hundreds of older mounts obsolete and useless. Going back to old content without the new mounts is frankly a painful experience. They really need to add this type of flying to all the previous flying mounts. Why should I care about getting a new mount drop when I can't even use it in the new expansion?!
Out of all of these, professions would have to be #1. The updated system looks like it can be improved on and continue to get updated into the next xpac. I’m gonna be devils advocate and say Dragonriding isn’t that big a deal. It is fun, but I don’t see how they would keep this feature going forward. I’ve seen some ppl say “ just make all flying mounts dragonriding “, would never work because we have flying mounts that are jellyfish, worms, discs, etc. If they do another similar feature in the next xpac, well then I guess my regular mounts will just be collecting more dust.
I enjoyed my time getting to max level and gearing my character, but part of me is not looking forward to getting on that gearing threadmill and DPS race again. Maybe I'll roll a healer and gear slowly.
I wonder how much of the praise is just because its being compared to the two stinker expacs that came before it. I wonder how it would have been received if this one came on the heels on Legion instead of Shadowlands
I feel like what we got back, was like vanilla and BC, Blizzard built a world with stuff to do and set us free to figure it out. Since WOTLK, there was a list of chores you had to spend all day every day doing to be accepted into any end game content. It's nice to play a game for enjoyment.
My job doesn’t give me the best schedule to play, but I’m working on my second level 70. And Dracthyr just aren’t doing it for me. I’ve tried, and I still have one, but… I also really like how professions have gone. It’s pretty neat and one helluva time sink! The talent system is great! Like with classic and tbc, you have choice, but you're not soft-locked into just one set of talents to have a capable build. I hated dragonriding AT FIRST. Then, I just went and collected all of the glyphs, and it has made things WAY better. Pretty thrilling, actually, when you leave ambient audio up. The dragon races are getting me though. That stuff gets intense!
I mean, if for last two expansions cycles people were forced to eat litteral frostings cover feces presented as content then a new expansions that offers basic butter white bread toast would be like a breath of fresh air.
My fav thing is that, you hit lvl 70, buy green items in AH and you are good to go. No torgast, no legendaries, no talismans. Just get max lvl and go do your thing.
Dude I missed this so much in wow, for once it feels like I'm playing a legit mmo but it's got the beauties of modern day technology! The story has been so captivating! I fucking missed this. I love it so much that I'm slow cooking everything I'm absorbing everything so slowly
DF is good because it's not bad. That's honestly the simplest answer. No mandatory chores is the most important lesson DF finally got right. Dragonriding, mainly optional reps, profession updates, outdoor content etc. are nice garnish
Professions are great but we need some way to reset knowledge for people who made mistakes while adding points. They only need to make it reset recipes, skill to lvl1 and cost 100k gold and it won't be exploitet
I'd like to see how people will feel in let's say 3-4 months I want to come back but time will tell if it's a good expansion. We just dedicated a part of our souls in the game and we always want to come back.
I'm still waiting to see what comes from this exapnsion, personally. After Shadowlands I pretty much lost interest in the game not just because of the content but the direction the lote went in. So far it's good to see people are happy with the expansion and if it keeps getting better maybe i'll be back for some raids
The best thing for my was to get dragonriding and immediately looking for all the glyphs. I got them at level 62/63. I felt like I hacked the and it was amazing
the ONLY thing i dislike about the whole expansion is just the new drakes. I love that they kept whelp forms and full-size dragons new yet similar & clearly upgraded ones of their old classic forms (which were great imo) but the drake just feels so different and "off" to me-
Most of us Not even level 70 yet? Bruh.. I got Dragonflight Lore-Master and Explorer Achievements - Done all the Dungeons on Mythic Twice and got 2 factions at Renown 13 and the funny thing is I am behind some other MONSTERS are way more advanced in the renown and the rep farming! 😁 However I totally agree with you about the Expansion IT IS THE BEST!
I've used the add on story teller in the past and even then never really committed to reading quest text. in DF however, I reinstalled it, went into the settings, slowed the text speed down a bit, slightly shifted the window, and am now reading every quest for the stories. and I'll tell ya like many other things in this expac, it is enjoyable.
I started playing wow in legion was my very first expansion and dragon flight has been the best experience like the customization with the talents and just being able to customize and how I want to build my character it's just something I always wanted in legion
Problem with Dracthyr is that there are cooldown on Soar and you don't have the dragon riding abilities... And the problem with professions is that we don't have enough bag space for mats... Otherwise its pretty good. :)
@@kye4216 As a leatherworker/skinner I have 10 different types of leather/scales and there are 3 tiers to each and there are also 6 that doesn't have any tiers... And then there are 6 types of Rousing/Awakened Elements, and then we also have Primal Chaos, Matrixes, Artisan's Mettle, 2 types of cloth and 8 types of byproduct from skinning and god knows how many cooking materials there are. But just to some it up there 65 different materials just for leatherworking alone... And then I would guess there are about 20 different cooking materials. So yeah a 32 slot reagent bag doesn't cut it.
One of the things that has always bothered me with Blizzard and Warcraft is that with every new xpack, they scratch everything and start over for the new xpack, whether it was things that worked or not. I really, reeeeaaallly hope that they take what works in DF and continue to expand on it and move it foreword into subsequent expansions. Love it so far.
The closest WoW expansion I can liken DF to is MoP - that expansion was a breath of fresh air as well and it felt so grounded and classic. I loved exploring the zones in MoP especially with the treasures that could be found. DF seems to have taken that feeling and expounded on it greatly with the inclusion of Dragonriding it helps to open up exploration in the new lands. Kudos Blizzard, I had serious doubts that it could be pulled off after the terrible Shadowlands but so far (I'm not 70 yet!) I'm thoroughly enjoying my time.
Top 5 things about Dragonflight 1 - Evokers (still needs a Tank spec) 2 - New Talent Trees (arguably a couple need work) 3 - Dragonriding (this needs to replace Flying, Dynamic Flying for WoW 11.0 and beyond!) 4 - Super Alt-Friendly (playing with 6 characters at the same time, doing their weekly and bi-weekly content) 5 - Professions are cool again. (Cooking needs to be specialized and Fishing should've had the making Lures and Bait. LW should've been able to craft Bows and Arrows much like Engineers can make Guns, Ammo and Scopes.) HM - no Borrowed Power BS (hope it stays gone too)

I just turned 70 and still have so much more to do! I haven't had this much fun in an expansion in a very long time. I'm taking my time to explore!
Happy Birthday!!
@@harvestingseason2725 😂😂
If you enjoy playing as healer, you should definitely try it out in dungeons! It’s scary at first, but so much worth it!
I remember everyone saying SL was great too the first month lol
Great vid! What’s the name of that sweet transmog?
They ask way to much with a monthly sub and the price of that expansions.
I appreciate the tweet popup sound with the pandaren archer shooting the arrow
hasn't even been 1 content patch yet.. lol
Been holding back, waiting for it all to crumble again.
But, I think I have seen and heard enough, im gonna buy DF for myself tonight.
Thanks for the info 🤙
I am almost sold. I'll just wait for the honeymoon period to be over, and a Christmas discount. Return to Azeroth? My nostalgia is off the roof.
Blizzard hit the spot with this expansion so far! My favorite is the reworked talent system. So much choices to explore. :)
I like that we as players come to this world and the leaders of each help us fight, you can see every dragon fight in the sky. Do you guys remember BFA, when Genn stood afk in Boralus for 2 years?, it's awesome it's not only we who fights.
Already got that SHIRT! Cant wait to get it in the mail
I'll still wait a month or three before resubbing. The honeymoon phase is still kicking here hard
So why miss out on the best time in an expansion when everyone is having fun and playing?
@@kye4216 Done that so many times, but still feel crappy at the end of it when it start sucking. So this time i'm just skipping that. Hopfully it can retain the players and be good all through the exp
I would like the "mount free of charge" better if it could recharge mid flight like the dragon mounts
I knew that Dragonflight was something special when I, by pure accident because I mismanaged vigor while trying to fly out of the Green Dragon area, ran into a bar for 4 legged creatures to speed date
Watching dryads mingling with drakonids and all of them shunning me because I have 2 legs was the funniest thing I found in the game in a long time
I love Dragonflight so far.
Very happy people are having fun with WoW again. Never played before and it feels pretty daunting to start now.
Thanks for the feedback.more videos soon. Send a direct message. I have a Gift for you!!...,,,,,,
I'm confused lmao. Is the expansion more $$ or just the subscription? I haven't played since they added death knights and just got a gaming PC. Is it worth it to get back in?
Dragonflight has been the first expansion I don't immediately go to Icy Veins for levelling/endgame build (since IVs release) I don't care if my arms warrior may be underperforming because damnit it was my choice and what I like
Big agree on Dragonriding being the best feature so far, I have not used a flight path once on the isles. Only things I wish for from it atm, is old world riding (obv), an air brake button (like a full or quick slow down so I can do cool landings at my destination without slamming into the ground), and a hover button, maybe one that slowly drains vigor so that its still an active skill
I wish I could play. My return is a long time coming and this would be perfect. Enjoy everyone!
Still haven't played Dragonflight, but if theres a reason i do it is certainly because of this video. Seems like a hype time
is Longboi available in Dragonflight. thats all i want to know.
whats the theme playing in the background of this vid?
I heard that dragon riding had been nerfed a ton, is it still loved despite (apparently) being much slower than originally in the beta?
Yup
It’s great
Out of all of these, professions would have to be #1.
This has convinced me to try wow again after like 4 years
I enjoyed my time getting to max level and gearing my character, but part of me is not looking forward to getting on that gearing threadmill and DPS race again.
You got one thing right
*so far*
Im trying to figure out wich server i should play.. im focussed on pve and want to play allience
My job doesn’t give me the best schedule to play, but I’m working on my second level 70. And Dracthyr just aren’t doing it for me. I’ve tried, and I still have one, but…
I also really like how professions have gone.
6:56 the fact that he has everything except mechagnomes unlocked 💀
Still going to wait a bit, very cautious about blizz jacking up their own product.
Dragon flight has got that feeling that I want to leave work and play again which has not happened in a long time 🙏
I mean, if for last two expansions cycles people were forced to eat litteral frostings cover feces presented as content then a new expansions that offers basic butter white bread toast would be like a breath of fresh air.
9:19 if i would give a top tier list that will be:
1. Dracthyr
2. Dragon Riding
3. Profession Updates
4. Exploration
5. Quests
We need dragon riding ability everywhere!
Im level 68 right now and taking my time, its just so much fun.
0:05 Except for Narc, he doesn’t like anything that that doesn’t cater to his specific tastes.
I caved 5 minutes before dragonflight launched and bought it. I'm glad I did because it's honestly really fun.
DF is good because it's not bad. That's honestly the simplest answer. No mandatory chores is the most important lesson DF finally got right. Dragonriding, mainly optional reps, profession updates, outdoor content etc. are nice garnish
Does level 58 Death Knight enjoy Dragonflight?
Professions are great but we need some way to reset knowledge for people who made mistakes while adding points.
They only need to make it reset recipes, skill to lvl1 and cost 100k gold and it won't be exploitet
waiting for Nixxiom interview with devs....
However I totally agree with you about the Expansion IT IS THE BEST!
I remember the same hype about Shadowlands...
How many mats do you want? They gave us an extra 20ish slots just for mats. My bags are like less than 1/4 full
World pvp and world content is what I love the most about Dragonflight so far.
I’m glad they listen to there fans
seems like its worth comming back.
Can confirm, I've played for a long time and have enjoyed both the exploration and not know what the eff I am doing for professions 😁
Haven't tried it yet, all i can think of is people said the same about SL a week or two in.. I want to know what people will say in 2 months..
Top 5 things about Dragonflight
1 - Evokers (still needs a Tank spec)
2 - New Talent Trees (arguably a couple need work)
3 - Dragonriding (this needs to replace Flying, Dynamic Flying for WoW 11.0 and beyond!)
4 - Super Alt-Friendly (playing with 6 characters at the same time, doing their weekly and bi-weekly content)
5 - Professions are cool again. (Cooking needs to be specialized and Fishing should've had the making Lures and Bait. LW should've been able to craft Bows and Arrows much like Engineers can make Guns, Ammo and Scopes.)
HM - no Borrowed Power BS (hope it stays gone too)
I’m craving for evoker and shaman tank spec, that would be awesome
