  • Just a short one this time. I challenged myself to make a song from the two most unrelated forms of music, gangster rap and traditional Spanish flamenco guitar music. It turned out quite well but now I have added an animation to go with it. I'm working on new stuff at the minute including non deforum animations, I currently have three different animations in progress at the same time, so more to come soon!
Thanks again for the support and all the subscribers to this channel.

Glad you like it. I made the music on Udio.com and then shelved it as I couldn't think of an animation. @chetbff on twitter posted some images from Midjourney that suited the animation and I used one as a reference image to create the deforum. I have lots of animations without sound and now have loads of music without animations, all waiting for their opportunity to become real

Yep, and Peter O'Toole is one of my favourite actors, he was well known for Shakesperean work in the same bracket as Ian McKellern Judi Dench and Olivier. The birds came from an old nature recording I made on reel to reel many years ago, the music I made on Udio.com and O'Toole I stripped from the movie 'Venus' from 2006 where Peter played a washed up old stage actor, he was 74 years old at the time but his voice here is almost like worn leather. I used a specialist software called 'Stemroller' that lets you take (for example) a recording of many people talking at the same time with music playing an split each voice into its own track (an the music into its own track). In this animation O'tooles voice in the movie had different music as he spoke. I stripped that out and replaced it with my own. Technology eh? Shows how much goes into a 2 minute vid sometimes

After checking in to your own channel I'm convinced you could have done the guitar part for this yourself. I'm a guitarist myself although from a completely different world but I have always admired Spanish guitar players, they have such fire in their hearts. If you check my other video's I did an animation called 'grocery store' right at the start of this channel, that has Sergio Leone soundtrack and the guitar part of that is the reason I first picked up guitar, it has drama and fire !

Flamenco and rap really should be a thing. I could listen to a full album of this
