Please explain: WHY are the headways between trains during the RUSH HOUR on the Blue Line ten minutes in length? Is it because there is a shortage of trains and/or crews to staff them? What gives? Here we have these beautiful new trains in service, but they're running so infrequently that passengers are being left behind at these stops as we can so clearly see in your video. As a bus rider on Chicago's North Side, I have likewise noticed that the digital bus-arrival information at bus stops everywhere north of Michigan Avenue have been "temporarily unavailable" for months on end now (isn't it about time the CTA admit the truth and have all those signs show that bus arrival information is now PERMANENTLY unavailable?). The CTA is hurting badly with respect to providing good rush-hour service as well as timely and useful arrival information. There are now LONG waits between buses as well during the morning and evening rush hours. The CTA is actively DISCOURAGING transit ridership just when it should be doing all it can to ENCOURAGE and PROMOTE it. Iin his inaugural address, Chicago's Mayor Brandon Johnson said that his administration intends to do all it can to improve the CTA's performance. I would like to see Mayor Johnson and his new administration do their part to fulfill that promise.
