Is the Overchurch/Royal Daffodil still in Garston? I remember when she started Ferry service on the Mersey. I must have been on her 100's of times over the years. Overchurdh, Mountwood & Woodchurch operated to Birkenhead, whilst the Egremont, Leasowe, Royal Daffodil II and in peak season, the Royal Iris operated the Seacombe and New Brighton Service. The Royal Iris in the Summer would help on the New Brighton service. Great Video. Thank you.

@@veryhighguy Thank you Paul. My favorite Ferry was Royal Daffodil II (in the 60's). She was a lovely ferry.

So its in Garston Docks? was asking about this project today. The best vessel was the Mountwood in my opinion, with the smoke stack fully exposed. my dad took me on them most nights and on colder days we stand warm next to the funnel. i remember when we was the last people on the ferry docked in seacombe and the Royal Iris (one thats shamefully) still in the thames, there was a lady captian on it facing us and she waved from the Iris to us on the front of the mountwood. never forget that.

The failure rate for re-purposing retired vessels is like this is missive. I hope she is not on her way onto that failure list. Covid and the ever increasing cost of materials and services are all against this project. I really hope I am wrong.

@@ianhjan completely agree. Tbh Iv been following from the start, I have hundreds maybe thousands of pictures and hours of footage but a lot of it is held back for a display of her conversion when she opens officially. There will be a special
Display/ history area in the bridge. Shh I never told you ;)
