One possible reason why model validation automation will not work is when regulator asks for a specific analysis which is not covered by automation. Everything in model validation will follow a cookie cutter approach does not work in real world situations.
Just curious weren't there any modeling experts creating startups and building automations themselves? With their expertise the automated validation might suit the need better ?
There are many firms attempting this. I've had many presentations from large and small firms about their automated software and they unfortunately don't work very well. There are also VERY few experts in the world. Over 8 years I've met less than 5.
