Hello my Clean & Delicious friends! As per your request, I finally did my very first grocery haul at Tarjaay!! I was so surprised at how many healthy options they actually had and look forward to going back. I'd love to know if you have any Target grocery favorites! Come share down in the comments below.
I won't buy apples if they're not organic since they're on the dirty dozen list and are highly sprayed. I'll just buy something else. But I always see organic apples so not a problem. Alternatively, cherries are on the list and I hardly ever see them organic so I've hardly had them in the last few years, which really sucks because I love them so much but I'd rather not eat them knowing how they're drenched with all that crap.
"Always do the best you can and feel good about what you are doing!"-Dani .....That just inspired me so much! Lots of times, I have spent hours poring over videos, articles and random information concerning food and get nothing out of it but confusion and feeling down if I can't afford to buy every single piece of produce organically. You are such an inspiration to people that truly want the best foods for themselves and their families!
This is really cool, I live in the UK and didn’t think this would be relevant to me but I just loved how you gave tiny demos of how to actually utilise the products you bought! Gave me some nice ideas!
I've never done a complete shopping order at Target. We do walk around the Food section to see if we need anything or would like to try. I'm always on the look out for Vegan/Dairy ideas for my daughter as well as something for my son
The comment you made about doing the best you can and if you cant do organic still get fruits amd veggies has solidly made you one of my favorite meal prep healthy eating you tubers!
Thank you for being so kind and humble letting your viewers know that it's okay if they can't get organic or the best of something as long as you are making the effort of fruits and veggies. Some people can barely afford anything past frozen or can foods so lime you said they think they can't be like someone as amazing as you when it comes to buying things for their family so they say forget it
Target's brand of unsweetened almond milk in the refrigerated section is quite good, with no additives ("natural" flavors are just as questionable as carrageenan). I go out of my way to get some when I can't make it (which is quite often).
Hello from your neighbor in PA. Just grocery shopped at Target this past weekend. Loved this haul and reinforcing that fact that I don't have to panic if I don't find organic. It's cute that you always smell your food before you taste it lol
Dave's Killer Bread! Super yum! I live in Portland where it's created, they have an amazing philosophy of giving felons a second chance in life, it's so beautiful. They've got an outlet store here in town that's pretty great. I've got to try those Rxbars, they look yummy! Being diabetic, I'm worried about the carbs though. I'm headed to the store this morning to check them out in person. Thanks for the great haul! Thanks for always keeping me inspired!❤️
I was just saying how I want to start shopping at Target more because they have more healthy options than Walmart! Also love how you pointed out it's okay if you can't always be organic 💖 So true that all the information we get can stress us out. Jersey here too! Thanks for another great video!
Thank you for the comment about organic produce!! We live in a pretty rural area, so it's really hard to find organic anything at our local stores. Love your videos. .. .keep it up!
A few staples I get at target are their extra thin sliced cheeses (I think it's like 40-50 calories per slice), bobs thick old fashioned oats, daves killer RAISIN bread (if you haven't tried it yet you must! So good and chewy!), and canned beans. Target seems to have the best prices on canned beans. One of the beans they have is chili pinto beans. Good with eggs for breakfast. .
My target has them at $.79. The target brand "market pantry". Also they always have a coupon for their brand of canned goods on cartwheel/target app. And if you have the target red credit or debit card you get an additional 5% off as well. On anything you buy actually. 👍🏼
Great video ! I am a single woman on a meger budget living on the "Main Line" outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!! I actually had to use my charge card to buy food last month and Viola....Target was the store. The prices were good as was the food. I am going back this weekend for more purchases. I will say that a LOT of people shopping in the food section had a cart of food, especially those with children. Thanks for the recipe suggestions too! I specifically clicked on here to see YOUR Target suggestions .
Thank you for this! I don't usually grocery shop at target but I may start! My kids (4.5 and 3) are asking for more snacks lately. They do love fruits etc but I'd love to have some healthier options on hand that will feel like treats to them.
A little off topic but the Dollar Tree near me sells freeze dried strawberries, peaches, and apples. I always keep the single serve bags at my office at work. They also have single serve pistachio bags and 6 packs of mixed raisins and cranberries.
I've gone grocery shopping at my Target in a pinch and was so pleasantly surprised to find they not only had so many healthy options to choose from, but that many of the same things were even cheaper than at my local natural foods store! I definitely won't hesitate to get my groceries there again!! You had some great finds, I'm excited to try some of them!! I'm going to try your dried fruit and nuts idea in my purse for an on the go healthy snack!
I really like all your snack ideas. I also live in New Jersey and was surprised to hear that you do too. I do not shop at Target find it to be expensive. I shop at Aldi's and Walmart and sometimes ShopRite.
Yes! LOVE Target and do all of my grocery shopping there. Here where I live we have SuperTargets that have even MORE groceries. I think the do a nice job of making it easy to find organic foods with their simply balanced brand. I don’t personally look for that, but I do have some. I love their light string cheese, deli meat, basically anything Market Pantry. If you can find a SuperTarget near you it would be even better!
Daves Killer bread is excellent! Is fullll of fiber and are smaller than most bread slices so are good for a correct serving sandwich! Every little bit helps lol!
I do my grocery shopping at Target because not only is it cheaper, the cartwheel app (it morphed with the regular target app recently) gives you added discounts and you don’t have to have a RED card.
Nina Altensee Yes, ty for sharing this! Recent discovery for me. Very helpful since everything is so expensive in Hawaii! Great way to shop mainland prices.
Nina Altensee Target is NOT cheaper. They sell the apple and bananas by the piece. It's not meant to be for groceries. Frozen goods though and other foods are well priced
ness joud You’re correct, produce isn’t cheaper. But other grocery staples are. I shop locally for my produce but things like peanut butter, rice, almond milk, eggs, etc. are a great price at Target. It may also depend on your location, but since I live in FL I find I get great deals. 😊
Have you tried Crazy Richard's peanut butter? The only ingredient is peanuts and once you mix it up, it will stay mixed if you refrigerate it. But unlike other natural peanut butters it will also stay spreadable, even when cold. It has a slightly less grainy texture too. Other than tiny mom and pop stores, we only have Walmart, Meijer, and Kroger here. We don't even have a local Aldi.
Just placed my first rxbar order using your discount code. Can't wait to try them I actually had the sample pack on my amazon wishlist for a while but was hesitant to order. Your recommendation convinced me.
I wish we had Target in Canada, we did for a very short time but they were not well stocked and closed after a short time. I will definitely look for those freeze dried fruits and RX bars when I am next in the States, I have only purchased tea from Target, I will take a closer look at their market!
I have had great success with freezing bananas---at the desired level of ripeness (which is different for everyone) remove peel, wrap individually in tin foil or plastic wrap and freeze. They will last up to 3 weeks, but during the summer months, I cannot freeze them quickly enough. Two of my kids won't touch a plain banana, but gobble up the frozen variety as if it were a sugar-laden fudge sickle. LOL. This is also a good way to 'keep' them from getting too ripe if you're not in the mood to eat them. Since they are the cheapest and most available of fruits (even organic is reasonable in price) I usually include them in each shopping visit.
This is great! I go to Target often, but never check out the food. It looks like there are a lot of options I need to check out! I have a question about the freeze-dried fruit... would those be good to put in homemade instant oatmeal? I would love to get fruit into my instant oatmeal and was wondering how those may react when hot water is added. Can't wait for the next video! Hopefully we'll see some cauliflower fried rice :)
Great haul! I do some of my shopping at Target. They have a great selection of random things like kombucha, plant-based milks, sparkling water, and specialty dark chocolates (when I want a sweet treat). I highly recommend using the cartwheel app for price matching. For produce, I prefer to support local farms because that is accessible to me. :)
And I need to thank you again! My three year old daughter is a very picky eater. She loves fruit and vegetables but I am always trying to find things she will eat, especially protein options. In a different video, you mentioned how your kids snack on frozen green peas and I decided to try it. She now asks me for "fwozen beans" at least once a day! It's become an item i always need to have in my freezer! I know my kids would love the frozen blueberries too, but how do you avoid the stains?
Grateful for your inspiration! Can you do a video on how you don't waste food? I try to meal plan and put things in the freezer, but just wondering if you have any other tips for not wasting the fresh produce. Also, have you heard of the "Perfect Bar"? Just heard about it but haven't tried tried it.
Hi Dani, Love love love your videos, etc. I am curious to know if there is a reason why you bought whole milk Greek yogurt in your Target haul, as opposed to a lower fat version?
I shy away from peanut butter even though we like it because the natural variety always seems to consist of hard ground peanuts with the oil floating on top. Trying to stir it in is messy and it never gets totally incorporated. How do you deal with this? Thx
Dani, love your videos! I have a question for you: what are your tips for getting off of artificial sweeteners? I think they are causing me a lot of trouble. I know you have a quitting sugar video. Do you also have a video about artificial sweeteners? Thanks in advance, Shannon
I didn't even know Target sold food! lol The nearest Target is about 50 miles away and the last time I was there, they didn't sell food. Glad to see all the organic food though! Great job.
Getting clean foods doesn't seem to be that difficult. I think my problem is that ive never tried certain foods like sweet potatoes, spinach or any salads besides iceberg. Ive never had dates, or blueberries. So i tend to not buy things i dont that I'll like. But im gonna step out my comfort zone starting with the rx bars. By the way is smooth peanut butter just as good as crunchy?
Liz Lovee try the maple sea salt or the peanut butter. These two seem to have the most flavor. The chocolatey flavors have a barely there flavor, so they were a little disappointing to me.😊👍🏻
We totally live in the same area, so far I've recognized my Trader Joe's and now Target lol. I've picked up some things from Target before like yogurt, hummus, eggs. Curious how you guys liked the taste of their Simply Balanced brand stuff, sometimes with store brands it's hit or miss. Love haul vids, thanks for sharing!
How much did this haul cost you? I have gotten some stuff at Target in the past but we don’t have a grocery Target. I tend to shop a Aldi and Sam’s Club :)
You're absolutely right about organic. If they're available, and more importantly, affordable to you, then yeah, get 'em. If not, don't let that prevent you from buying conventional, as the benefits out way the risk, or so I read as much. I personally would buy everything organic, if I could justify the premiums, which sometimes is significant, especially in frozen fruit.
I do some grocery shopping at Target. Their prices are so much better than my local grocery stores. Definitely worth checking out. Dani - how much did you spend on your haul? Also, love that you recommend eating fruits and veggies even if organic is not an option.
Omg I love your videos and the content of your channel. You are amazing!I would love to see more videos like this. Specially in stores that are affordable. Ps: i love that you mention that fruits and vegetables are still fruits and vegetables even if they are not organic. A lot of people can’t afford organic. Thank you for all the info😍
We shop at WinCo. Really good prices, lots of bulk options and fresh produce. Do you have a WinCo near you guys, Danny? I checked this video out because I figured it would be most similar to Winco. Wish we had Trader Joe's here, but we don't.
Love this video thank you for sharing these kind of videos! I have heard a lot of about meatless meats and they are better way of eating protein, is that true? How healthy are these meatless meats are than reg meats? Have you tried some of these, if so what brands do you like? Have you tried some vegan products, which ones are good? Love your channel!
Hi!! I can't get to target as im in the UK. You did get a great selection which has given me some ideas of clean and delicious foods in the uk. One observation though is how much plastic is on the fruit and veg packaging. Not your fault of course as that how it comes. Things are bad in the UK but seem plastic use is much worse in us supermarkets. What's your thought on this.
Thanks for this video! New subscriber and I'm trying to watch as many videos as I can! Wondering if you have ever done or could do an Aldi haul?? Live in kind of a rural area and on a budget, and Aldi and Walmart are about the only option for grocery shopping. Any suggestion or advice for shopping at Aldi would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I love your videos! I have done my grocery shopping there if I’m already there shopping for things I don’t need 😅😅😅 and happen to remember that “oh shit I have to make dinner” lol but it’s not usually my go to - mostly because it’s in the mall like 20 away and always packed
I know selection varies but my Target has good food mostly decent prices. We loved their lasagna but then it disappeared! At my store I also really love the Lentil pasta kits and alternative pastas - they have a chickpea one by a different brand. They don't have Qinuoa pasta like my Trader Joe's though. :-(
Hi Ms.Dani !! I am a newbie to your channel and I subscribed as well . Your channel inspire me to have a headstart on clean and delicious eating. Much love from Philippines 😊
Thanks for posting a grocery haul! I don’t buy groceries at target, usually sprouts, frys/Kroger & Walmart I’m definitely going to get freeze dried fruit for my baby and toddler, never thought of that before. I already used the 25% off code for rx bars, maybe you could get a regular code too?
Dani, can you do a "Dani version" of the RX bars?
Hello my Clean & Delicious friends! As per your request, I finally did my very first grocery haul at Tarjaay!! I was so surprised at how many healthy options they actually had and look forward to going back. I'd love to know if you have any Target grocery favorites! Come share down in the comments below.
Clean & Delicious yes i do my food shopping at target ( love target !) & stop & shop.
You are so sensible and realistic about food. I appreciate your posts very much.
LOVE your explanation of organic vs. not. Do it when you can but if not... eat your veggies anyways! ❤

Thank you Dani, yes please share cauliflower fried rice recipe and stuffed bell peppers. 🌹
cauliflower - bloats me so much - anyway to cook that will not do this? last time i made the cauliflower fried rice
I havent shared the rice yet... will do that soon. In the meantime, here is the stuffed pepper recipe - > th-cam.com/video/FlW3FuEZOyU/w-d-xo.html
I shop at target about once a month and I like there many options of organic snack freezer and pantry foods
Target's brand of unsweetened almond milk in the refrigerated section is quite good, with no additives ("natural" flavors are just as questionable as carrageenan). I go out of my way to get some when I can't make it (which is quite often).
Yes I shop at Target but I never tried these snacks but I will next time. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hello from your neighbor in PA. Just grocery shopped at Target this past weekend. Loved this haul and reinforcing that fact that I don't have to panic if I don't find organic. It's cute that you always smell your food before you taste it lol

I am a PA girl too. 🙂

Ok thanks! WinCo has canned beans and corn for 59 cents as well 😊
Oh nice! WinCo is quite a distance away from me but I have been wanting to go so maybe I could stock up. Thanks!
Also, grocery outlet has the best prices on canned olives, 79 cents a can.
Hi Dani! can you please share some of your kids’ school lunches? thank you!
Great video ! I am a single woman on a meger budget living on the "Main Line" outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!! Hey Dani mom of 5 here! Thank you for always giving me fresh ideas to keep my life simple 🤗 with meal planning for my family.
I Love the Organic selection from Target!!!
Your channel is the best!!💕
Thank you! They have some surprisingly good choices. Thanks so much for watching.

I have three stores that I regularly buy groceries from: Whole Foods, Stop and Shop and Target. All have a great variety of organic produce/products.
I do my grocery shopping at Target because not only is it cheaper, the cartwheel app (it morphed with the regular target app recently) gives you added discounts and you don’t have to have a RED card.

Can't wait for the next video! Hopefully we'll see some cauliflower fried rice :)
I put frozen fruit..especially raspberries into my oatmeal right when it is hot. So yummy!
Thank you for sharing! Will do my shopping this weekend at Target. What vitamins do you recommend for kids?
Thank you for sharing your haul with us, I live in Canada and cannot find the Rxbars in any stores, so I buy the Lara bars. Will try ordering online.
Thanks for the discount! I’ve wanted to see how the rxbar compares to larabar for a while now. I got the variety box 😊
Dani I am so, so jealous. Wish we had Target grocery stores here in Australia. Your range of products are just amazing. Enjoy....
Great haul! I do some of my shopping at Target. I never do my grocery shopping at Target, but this was super helpful. Thanks!
Great haul! I do not shop at Target for groceries, but might have to check mine out. You picked up some great stuff!
I do shop at Targets very often. Check out Mary's crackers, talk about nutty and crisp.
Try the bagels with Avocado and the everything but the bagel seasoning from Trader Joes - It changes EVERYTHING! So yummy!
I really like your Target Grocery Haul! I don't do a lot of grocery shopping at Target but I do love there Simply Balance brand.
Hey Dani, would you share how long that load will last in your home of 4 and how much it was? Thanks!! Great video!
I didn't even know Target sold food! lol The nearest Target is about 50 miles away and the last time I was there, they didn't sell food. Glad to see all the organic food though! Great job.
what are the baby carrots coated with during the packing process to stop them drying out???
Getting clean foods doesn't seem to be that difficult. I think my problem is that ive never tried certain foods like sweet potatoes, spinach or any salads besides iceberg. Ive never had dates, or blueberries. So i tend to not buy things i dont that I'll like. But im gonna step out my comfort zone starting with the rx bars. Liz Lovee try the maple sea salt or the peanut butter. These two seem to have the most flavor. The chocolatey flavors have a barely there flavor, so they were a little disappointing to me.😊👍🏻
Lauren Manning do you know if there are any that dont have dates or is that like key ingredient?
I believe all of them have dates. That's what gives them the chewy texture and sweetness. I will say that they don't taste as "date-y" as Larabars.
We totally live in the same area, so far I've recognized my Trader Joe's and now Target lol. I've picked up some things from Target before like yogurt, hummus, eggs. ? I’m wondering if Target is less expensive or not on dress food especially the organics. ?
one lemon lol i buy them by the bags full! Use them in everything!

How much was the freeze dried fruit?
How do you keep those greens fresh after opening?
Thanks, Dani! Just placed my first RX Bar order. 14 bars for under $20 - not bad!
We shop at WinCo. Really good prices, lots of bulk options and fresh produce. Do you have a WinCo near you guys, Danny? I checked this video out because I figured it would be most similar to Winco. Wish we had Trader Joe's here, but we don't.
Hi I'm new to your channel and am new to clean eating, and I also live in Jersey. Your videos are very helpful
That's awesome Szusan! Thank you for supporting a fellow Jerseyan 😃
I have been wanting to try the RX bars as they really look yummy. But when you read the nutrition label they are so high in sugar.
In your opinion, where is the best place/price/variety to buy snacks?
What gluten free bread do you recommend??
These RXBARS look sooooo yummy, but they don't ship to France...Could you make a video on how to make them at home please? Love your channel!
Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been meaning to try the rx bars..just placed an order :)
Thanks!
Dave's Bagels are delicious. I also get the eureka! Organic bread.
My family really likes the Dave's... I've never tried the Eureka... I'll have to look for it.
So, how did find Target food prices compared to your supermarket?
We live in the bagel capital of the country--north jersey! Surprised to see you buy pre-made bagels from Target. :)
Wow I was just wondering about a haul like this from target :) thanks love it!
Your shopping hauls are the best!!!
your roasted brussel sprout vid is my go to recipe!
Hi Dani How do we get RX Bars here in South Africa?
Yes I go to target and I love it. So far eveything is super dooper good 😊
Hi thanks so much for that great video. I never shopped at Target but I will give them a try now. Thanks Again. :-)
Love this!!!! I would love to see more videos with target finds or recipes!!! I'm very excited for my next target trip!!! ;))
Impressed! I didn’t know target had these selections!
I would love to know where you got your stainless snack box and your cutlery from 😘

Yay so exciting to wake up to this!! I’ve been waiting for it! 😀
Thanks for posting a grocery haul! I don’t buy groceries at target, usually sprouts, frys/Kroger & Walmart
I’m definitely going to get freeze dried fruit for my baby and toddler, never thought of that before. I already used the 25% off code for rx bars, maybe you could get a regular code too?
