Even if it was a game that was (truth be told) half-complete, Heroes IV (original) had such entrancing storylines (best campaigns in Heroes saga, ever) and such haunting music that to this day it still represents to me my childhood. And my favorite game out of Heroes franchise. Sometimes, these compositions makes me yearn for some other, magical world far away from here, seemingly forever lost to me. Hah, such power does music composed for an old computer game, have.
Very nice video, helped me a lot in preparing for no reload run! For people interested in no reload: A strategy that you can use which isn't showed in this video is berserker blocking. Use the square formation and put single stack of berserkers in the middle, fill the rest spots with centaur stacks. That way the berserker is blocked until "centaur wall" is open (or destroyed), and you can take advantage of some better shots of your main centaur stack, as well as not having to chase the silly berserkers to the enemy's side of battlefield. The centaurs fight is the most tricky, as they can destory the frontline centaur stacks easily. To avoid this, try placing Waerjack in the left front spot, so they can focus some of their 1/4 range shots on him. In pirate fights, just wait for them to come close and unleash your berserkers, so they deal with them while your centaurs have full or 1/2 range to deal decent damage.
That was one of your best let´s plays, specially by the fact that you cannot use magic so that makes this campaign pretty hard, and on my point of view more interesting. Here we can see a diferent developes, combats and growing ways of the hero than on your others campaigns.
Nice video, didn't really expect someone will make such series with Champion Difficult of campaigns. In the past, when I played more often in HoMM4 I played with similar strategy (and probably many of us x) ), but honestly I didn't know how to pass this map on Champion, so this video is really usefull.;)

if this geme get finished nobody ever talk about homam 3 reason for this was clear. game was supposed to have best transition between look of the map, town and battlefield. also best hero development and better economy (not so castle focused) all skill in this geme give a sense and no overpowered hero at the end of the game. (caster and stats) also good that they recognized that some 1 tier spells are very potent in homam 3 if you gain expert magic. here you have better approach to it then ever. yet they turn everything back in other following games to homam 3 stile. like to have invisible thief hero on map or good keeper of eco, or fighter, mage alone is not what d&d should be...
The Might faction looks to be a lot less efficient with it's troops. My father played this game extensively and he thought that Might was the weakest faction relatively speaking. I think I can understand why.
To be honest I'm not sure if I will complete the rest of the campaign in any sort of timely fashion. The main aim was to demonstrate that it's possible to complete this level on the hardest difficulty. I might move onto the Chaos campaign as that's the other super-hard level from the original campaigns.
Thief hero is the best option I think. If we have two stealth heroes with combat skill this is very easy to win. But I wonder if anyone chose a druid (Dragon Strength on Wearjack :) )?
People usually blame this game for the defence castle battle gameplay. In my opinion defense castle battle gameplay mechanics are the best of all other heroeses. People usually loved that heroes can take a part in battle as unit In my opinion it was the most fatal bugged feature. It's possible to defeat the strongest army with one hero with many ressurection bottles. The algorithm is simple: loop until the army is crashed ( 1) You attack with a hero 2) You get killed and ressurected 3) Escape from battle )
One thing still not clear - how to do it *with* reaching Waerjack's maximum Experience level (15 as I remember)? I guess I just have to wonder around a bit longer as I like my heroes to be trained to max at the end of each mission.
Stay away from their main army and take out their smaller armies. Try to take their main town. Don't worry if they take your own towns in the meantime, you can build up a better army from their starter town.
im not sure it was luck that they didnt attack you, from what i remember in this game the computer would only ever attack if it had no choice but to ( as in if you trap them in a single lane the AI just tries to run back through you to get to their base) or if they calculate that they can win

Sad to see that you don´t continue the barbarian campaign. It was special because you can´t use your habitual heroes magic skills choices to defeat your enemies, and I find that more interesting.
+woolfero Not really, since you can hire a secondary hero who will accompany you to the rest of the campaign in the second mission. I tend to go for a Druid, who has GM Nature by the end of the second mission and hopefully Dragon Strength. Waerjak becomes a force of nature (no pun intended) with the Nature magic buffs and the two of them can take on the remaining maps by themselves. Magic is definitely not absent from this campaign, although you have a small window of opportunity to build up your magic user, who should be either a Druid or a Priest.
Hi. Anyone ever beat champion games in Equilibris mode? I managed to beat all champion campaigns of main H4 and its expansions in this mode, except for Glory of Days Past. It was so crazy coz Orcs can stun you almost all the times and Nomads are way crazier.

Homm4 has the best and greates theme from all versions of the game, it had the potential to be the best one from the series if it was finished....

Wow, this was originally hard for me even on advanced difficulty. But as soon as the hero reach like level 15-18, he can solo the map.

I generally agree. They can be annoying to fight against though, mainly because of Cyclopes and the fact there is no "Might Ward" spell.

Best classes are in this game is wizard king (spells cost 2 pts less) and demonologist (%50 more demon type spawn)

I think early on you have to take the tier 1 melee troops out of your army because they are so dogshit until you get like over 500
