    The core issue is that the stakeholders that can influence the African economy are the ones holding the bag and are not susceptible to adapting to changes that are needed to grow the economy. That would mean changing a business that has been lucrative for them.

    The 2000’s was a decade of jobless growth. But with the Africa Continental Free Trade Area we hope intra Africa trade increases.

    True... but many countries in Africa are the fastest growing in the world. You showed Kagame as an example of someone who isn't doing enough. Yet he runs Rwanda, easily one of the fastest growing countries in the world. Unfortunately Africa is a dynamic place, that could change at any moment.

    the one thing that needs to be mentioned is that trade between africa is difficult because.. how can two countries trade the same thing?
