- Although Africa represents 17% of the world's population, it only accounts for 2.3% of global trade as it relies heavily on volatile commodities like fossil fuels, metals and ores and is held back by current policies and unbalanced partnerships. How can we boost trade flows inside and outside the continent to create more jobs and further development?

The core issue is that the stakeholders that can influence the African economy are the ones holding the bag and are not susceptible to adapting to changes that are needed to grow the economy. That would mean changing a business that has been lucrative for them.
The 2000’s was a decade of jobless growth. But with the Africa Continental Free Trade Area we hope intra Africa trade increases.

True... but many countries in Africa are the fastest growing in the world. You showed Kagame as an example of someone who isn't doing enough. Yet he runs Rwanda, easily one of the fastest growing countries in the world. Unfortunately Africa is a dynamic place, that could change at any moment.
