Run electrical line tape over your line. Then you can find your line with a metal detector.
bingo!
I have 2 acres in New Mexico. My Partner Jeremy and I moved here 7 years ago to restore his Dad's house that had been empty for 20 years. Jeremy died 3 years ago, we have a son who was 4 at the time. Now im trying to do this alone. I'm so glad to find this channel. My well is the biggest issue. This time we have not had it working since Oct. Hoping your videos help me out of the days I want to give up cause I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing here. Thank you.
Don’t give up. You can do it. I hope that our videos will help with a broad range of information.
It would be nice to get some water tanks when you get the new building near the new garden and orchard.
Edit yes you said later in video😊
💕💗💕🙏🙏🙏 Have a blessed week, in The Lord Jesus Christ!!!
Try switching to Sta-Rite pumps. Grunfuss is Chinesium.
Thank you ❤ 😊
You need to take pictures of all the water lines that you bury.
Map with dimensions works best for me. I am an architect.
Can you get a water hose connected to the spigot at the other end and back flush it to see if you can get it to come up out of the ground by putting water through it? If so it should pop up out of the ground and show you where the end of that pipe is it might get you closer to where you want to be just a thought hope it helps.
Unfortunately no. The distance is too far for hoses.
I have a need for trenching as well on our 4 acres yet, I’m very afraid as to existing lines, power or gas to my 65 year old Cabin. I need to not chance it but right now the only water value is at the front of the cabin so i have timers and multiport’s for hoses. Very inconvenient especially come winter when I need to unhook everything. So I have drip irrigation coming off of that one water spout. Thx for sharing even in your frustrations
Just a thought. Have you tried dowsing rods to find the water line?
They have worked for me to find water lines, sewer lines, places to dig for a well.
Unfortunately they wouldn’t work in this particular situation because the broken line was dry.
Thanks Eric, We're in the process of finding our water lines, its totally crazy we cant find them as well... where they would logically be, ypu guessed it, they are not there.
Blessings ❤
I feel your pain. Logic is out the window for sure.
Those pumps sux and there expensive. We been using a redlion jet pump cheaper and better built. Keep it up brother
Thanks for the heads up on the Redlion
Red lion here to
Your pump outlet pipes are too small and have a 90degree bend near the out let, bigger is better in this case, as you are killing your pump.
We use a few Grundfos and aren't thrilled by the performance or design. Priming is a joke.
I’m finding out more and more about their poor quality.
Happy Sunday! As a fellow Texan, we love your channel… keep it up. Real quick suggestion: there is a service known as ‘what3words’. It assigns a three-word name for every 10’ of space… anywhere on the planet. This can help when building out a map of buried items. If you draw up a map, consider using the ‘w3w’ designation to allow for any future person to know exactly where you a) found water, b) buried a conduit, or c) ran electrical lines. Hope this helps. God bless y’all.
Thank you
I only live on 2.75 acres, should I purchase one of those 5000 gallons tanks. I only see 3 propertys here with ponds?
I think they are a great addition to any homestead.
@@CountryLivingExperience who is a good company to contact. Thanks so much for answering.
@CountryLivingExperience oh! also if I do where should I put it? Near the home or at the end of the property
@@honeybee6674 I bought mine at Home Depot
@@honeybee6674 Place it wherever you have the proper amount of roofing to collect the water. Mine are next to my barn. I have a whole series of videos on building our rain collection system.
