Disney, particularly Disney World, always over promise and under deliver if delivery occurs at all.

To be honest, the Hollywood back lot I get why. But Grizzly Peak, I’m a little nervous for they might get rid of Soarin’

If any of this actually eventually happens, it will be cut down, with things removed and built on the cheap. Welcome to Disney Groundhog Day.

The fact that the rumored locations of both projects are more or less the opposite of what we as fans think is best, wouldn't surprise me that maybe (just maybe) something got lost in translation or misinterpreted upon hearing this rumor. That Coco could potentially take up the Backlot, and Avatar could be in the Simba lot (which is technically "behind" the Incredicoaster). Maybe its just wishful thinking on my part, just wanted to also put on my tin foil hat for fun lol

Zootopia in DCA works so much better! The city is inspired by Los Angeles. I also think Coco is amazing for DCA not just because it’s Pixar, but because Mexico is near California and based on what we saw with Cars Land, it doesn’t have to be in California, it could take place near California. Avatar has none of those traits.

Moving Coco to the Backlot would be incredibly stupid. The Backlot needs to go!!

That plot behind the roller coaster is perfect. It is near the existing water system, and Pixar Pier is for all the Pixar attractions.

@@ChienaAvtzonyup Im sticking with coco behind the coaster and avatar simba lot these dumb rumors

@@ThemeparkNThings - Except, the Simba lot cannot be touched until after the entire footprint of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure are completely built out. That means areas like Tomorrowland, Hollywood Land, and Paradise Gardens need to be dealt with before the parks can be expanded. No way is Disney going to hold off on their marquee attraction for Disney California Adventure until then, especially with Disneyland’s 75th Anniversary being in 2030. So, you better get ready for “Avatar” to replace Hollywood Land.

Announcing new attractions without finalized plans and locations and then telling WDI to just figure it out is a weird way of doing things. Also, who cares if Monsters Inc is saved? It's an ugly re-theme of a failed attraction and stands in the way of future expansion in that area.

Exactly. It looks like they just reached into the file cabinet and slapped those concepts up at the last minute because Epic Universe was going to destroy them.

What happened to Disneyland Forward with new zoning in the Simba Parking Lot? Avatar and Encanto/Coco will easily fit there. The west side is already a Hispanic area.

    • @ChienaAvtzon
      @ChienaAvtzon หลายเดือนก่อน

Disneyland Forward is a rezoning deal with Anaheim for much later into the future. It is irrelevant to any immediate plans with Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. As part of the deal was the parks need to be completely built out, before Disney can touch the parking lots.

Avatar should Paradise Bay and the carnival rides. Coco should go in the Monsters building.

With Zootopia in the rest of the backlot expanding into Simba

  • @ChienaAvtzon

The ride system being used for “Avatar” has a significantly larger capacity than the “Monsters Inc” ride in the backlot that no one rides anyway. Putting “Coco” there makes no sense, just due to logistics. It is impractical to open another water system for a small/medium boat ride, as it coast the same amount to build the system for a large ride.

How about scrap anything related to garbage tier Avatar...overly long, boring, cartoony CGI filled snoozefests...brought to you by the biggest known plagiarist out there...who was successfully sued for STEALING Terminator from Harlan Ellison...and stole multiple parts of the garbage Avatar movie from numerous stories written by several writers including Anne McCaffrey.

Honestly, Avatar is one of those movies that I get why it was so popular at the time but I feel like it aged like milk, but that’s just my opinion I can handle other people‘s opinions
