    I laughed out loud when you pulled out the FX30. I'm planning on selling my A6600 and stepping up to the FX30. I'm thinking of the Sony EPZ 18-105 and Sigma 16 1.4 lenses. It's a bit of a pricey jump for me, but I do like the idea of 10 bit color and better audio. Still digging your videos. You are a natural in front of the camera. 👍👍

    Chris my man, great video and the Smallrig light looks interesting. I too purchased the DJI mic for a shoot and worth every penny. Crazy small and performed flawlessly.

    I can vouch for chris. The DJI mic set is excellent. They are compact, battery last forever, and have useability. I've used a few setups before and these work GREAT for me.

    One thing I noticed with a director’s monitor when you’re shooting for a client it makes the people who is not apart of the shoot feel like they’re apart of the project if that makes any sense I get soo much more questions from people when I see they just sit there on the monitor spectating … it’s one of those things that clients see and just stop in their tracks and take their phones and take pictures of lol 8:49

    I use the holllyland wireless mics and I love them. The kit is the same ...1 receiver 2 transmitters in a rechargeable box but they also come with their own lavs

    The OSEE looks interesting and it is quite affordable. I would love if it had the possibility to show multiple sources for multi-camera interview setups. One thing I noticed is that plant in the interview setup whichis distracting imho. I would place the subject more away from it or put the plant further back to get it less into focus.

    Another entertaining video... Thanks for posting. One thing to consider for 2023... Using full-sized shotgun mics indoors is typically ill-advised. Look into a hyper cardioid (or super cardioid) pencil mic for interior dialogue... It will definitely raise your game. Cheers!

    For indoor audio work, I cannot recommend the Schoeps CMC641 enough. Along with a Zoom F6 recorder w/32 bit float, you will get some AMAZINGLY pristine recordings, even if people are screaming or talking quietly. The Rode blimp is great(I use it with an NTG3 outdoors), but unnecessary for indoor stuff with the Schoeps

    For the DJI wireless mic, I learned the hard way that is highly selective of lav mics. The best budget mic for it is the Shure MVL/A Condenser Lavalier Mic (NEW). It’s really cheap but great and can be found on Amazon

    I'm curious as how you can be using the Smallrig RC 450(?) for supposedly every shoot when this light has just been recently released! And I'm talking probably less than a week or 2 from writing this o.o I've always watched your videos for the truth and honestly behind them so I hope this isn't a "talk about this gear so you can buy through my link" type deal

    • @ChrisFranklinJr
      @ChrisFranklinJr  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t make any money off of the link! They sent it to me a month early! I’m impressed with it, it’s much much better than my current light; that’s why I talk about it!

    • @Max_filmatic_music
      @Max_filmatic_music ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the light and trust me when I tell you that he is just trying to help you out. It is a game changer. This light has more output than that aperture light storm 600 the build quality is unmatched, and it is totally changed the way I film.

    • @Max_filmatic_music

    First time watching your content and love the candid, kind, and practical feel you bring. I’m also a filmmaker and loved your perspective on clients. I started my own business last year after being with a company for 10 years. Do you have any thoughts on how you manage clients, pricing, and schedule? I’d love to see something like that as it’s been a hard balance to navigate.
