After using this unit for a few months I had to get rid of it and changed to a pioneer that sounds better and more features and cost less. Unbelievable that I bought this high-quality alpine unit or at least alpine used to be high-quality years and years ago when I was a teenager.
How does it turn off and how do I turn it on with the k button?
Can I select multiple images for wallpaper so it changes periodically or is that not a feature?
Question......can you change the loading screen on this thing? You could in previous Alpine units. Tried on this one using the old 800x480 bmp image way but nothing
I have this unit and I don't think you can. I've tried all available steps for other models to no luck. Looks like you can only change the wallpaper.
I have a Alpine INE-W957HD and when I try to listen to music on a USB drive the songs play fine, most display album art, but the magnifying glass icon is always greyed out and I cannot press it to show the list of songs on the USB stick to scroll through? I have tried two USB sticks, both formatted in FAT32? Have you ever run into this issue with your Alpine?
No, never had that problem. Did you place your songs in folders or did you just add all your songs to the USB individually? I'm just guessing this may be an issue, but not sure. Hope you find a solution.
I put some pictures on a usb to try and set a new back ground but, nothing is loading up. Is there somthing specific I need to do?
What format are your pictures in? I found that PNG and JPG work.
@@EpicHelp it’s interesting I just tried both of those formats and nothing is coming up on my alpine. I guess I should just keep trying them all at this point, lol.
Try formatting your USB to FAT32. In the owners manual it says FAT16 or FAT32.
What did you mean by ground it then ground it again
When the stereo was installed the parking brake hookup was bypassed. When doing this you ground the wire that would normally go to the parking brake. That's what the conversation was about.
@@EpicHelp I had mine done professionally and I can't access my settings did he not do it right?
@@Jessica-sh3sh Place your vehicle in park and put on your emergency brake, then try accessing the settings. If that does not work, then take emergency brake off, then put it back on again. Hopefully they hooked it up correctly.
Got a how to, to tune the radio stations? Lol.
