- A little over a year ago, Balgouthi did 12 quests. Since then, we could always dream of "12 quests with winter hood". Well, now I did it!
This is probably comparable in difficulty to Yaruo's "Lava gear without a bag" challenge.
Some of you will ask how I trap a lava dragon. I slowed down the video, so you could see how I move diagonally through the trap (rather than along an axis). Also, remember that you can't leave the trap once the dragon is inside.

very cool. Everything I had: only completed winter hood/dragon quests without crafting it and loosing it because of savagers(I remember moment when I killed dragon and was going to forest, but savagers just killed me. I was 1v3 in cave and tried to run, but near forest were others and they killed me.) Or because of RECONNECTING

how do you not overheat near the campfire?
That was changed over a year ago. You used to take damage from overheating, but now you just don't heal. You only take heat damage in the lava biome and (in the daytime) the desert.
I can't stop thinking how long until people will be able to do 100% quests.

physically impossible, this is probably the hardest possible quest route as 13 isnt possible, you cant be in winter and forest biome at once, and by the time you finish winter hood you wouldnt have enough time to be in all the biomes for a day, even if you do manage to go into the winter biome right when the timer reaches 1 day you wont be able to get 1 day in forest, as the time for killing chests simply wouldnt make it possible, and even if you did manage to do that without doing the treasure chronoquest you simply wouldnt be able to transfer to different biomes instantly, making it impossible. sorry for the like 12 paragraph long essay, and ive probably wasted my time if this was a joke and you knew it wasnt possible all along, and ill assume that since that would mean you have common sense

Why make diamond sword?
The lava dragon is easier with a diamond sword (but yes, it's technically possible with stone or gold). The lava dragon has exctly 3 times as much health as a wood wall, and a diamond sword (or higher) deals exactly 3 times as much damage to mobs as to buildings. Therefore, both objects take the same number of hits, I can return to the lava biome when the wall is almost broken. But stone and gold swords deal slightly more mob damage than 3 times their building damage (stone is 19 and 6, gold is 22 and 7). This makes it harder to tell when the lava dragon is almost dead, because you might kill the lava dragon when the wall still has some health. You can't just hit the lava dragon until it dies because the quest specifically says "Kill the lava dragon inside the lava biome" (the dragon orb says inside the cave, but you only need to kill it in winter).

Is 13 quests possible?
No, in fact there are 2 specific quests that you can't so in the same run. These are winter hood and biome quest. If you wanted to do both, you would need to spend 4 days in winter, 1 day in the other 3 biomes, and some time crossing the ocean. This would take more than 7 days, so you would fail the biome quest. However, any combination of quests that satisfies this constraint is possible; you choose winter hood or biome quest (or neither), then you do as many or as few of the other 11 as you want. Part of why I did this challenge was because I wanted to know definitively what quest combinations are possible.

It says inside the cave, but you only need to kill the dragon in winter.

That requires killing another spider, when I already have barely enough time in the forest. It's mostly personal preference though.

How do I trap the dragon, I tried but it didn't work, the dragon kept running out
Move diagonally through the trap to make sure the dragon gets inside. Once the dragon is trapped, you must stay in its aggro range.

@abi cu😳 Milanakin is correct about the chests. And no, it's not private, I just joined a normal server (NA3) when it was dead (evening of a weekday).
13 quests or noob
If only 13 quests were possible. Sadly, winter hood and biome quest are mutually exclusive (that's why you can do 12 quests with biome quest OR 12 quests with winter hood). For the hood quest, you need to enter winter by the 1 day mark, and stay until the 5 day mark, for a total of 4 days. For the biome quest, you must spend a day in each of the other 3 biomes. This takes a total of 7 days, which is the maximum time for the quest. But even if you could frame-perfectly cross biome borders, it would not be possible because you need to spend some time in the ocean, to reach lava and desert, so the time will always be more than 7 days. 13 quests is not possible without some glitch that tricks the game into thinking you are in multiple biomes at once, or something like that. I doubt such a glitch exists. If not doing 13 quests makes me a noob, go do 13 quests yourself.

wtf i can't even kill a lava dragon.
Trap it on the lava island like I did. Then almost kill it, then use a pickaxe to finish it off in the lava biome. I slowed down the video when I trapped the lava dragon, so you can see exactly how I do it.

Lava drags are probably the hardest mob to kill tbh. But the good thing is that there are less players = less savages. Unlike in winter. This is the only quest i've never done ever.
@@thth2539 Krakens are harder. The lava dragon, you can just trap it on an island. For the kraken, you need to trap it in reidite walls, or you need to kill the kraken in the river, use a boat, bow, etc.
