If you’re a real Jeep enthusiast then you’ve probably heard of Henkles jeep in Pickens SC. At one time it was the Jeep capital of the world. I grew up seeing Jeeps everywhere.

Hi Dennis, I am from N.W. Ohio . I know where there are ( 3 or 4 ) older CJ's setting along a group of other cars and trucks. I am NOT sure if the owner would even sell . I've been a Jeep lover since the early 60's . I've owned 3 CJ's and I am looking for number 4 . I am gonna go look at another I saw setting in some guys back yard ( grass all around it ) . Let me know if your interested.

Dennis I have a question for you. My wife owns a 1966 mustang. Original A/C 289 car coup . Auto transmission. Has a 1968 302 that's has a mild build. Hasn't run in 24 years. What do you think it's worth. She wants to sell it. I don't want her to get ripped off. You seem like a very fair guy.

I'm a Commando lover. It is so easy to convwert that ugly flat nose to a nice rounded CJ-5 nose and make it look like a real Jeep and all you need is a short CJ-5 hood.

Did you buy new toy hauler rams?
I blew up 3 t4 trannies in my 81 cj7 so I dropped in a t176 and have not had a problem since. Those t4 and t5 trannies are pure junk run in the amc pacer for Gods sake. I pulled the rear end and the front end along with the trannie and transfer case from a 85 cj7 and put it into my 81 and it looks identical to an 85. Those axles were so goofy looking until they pulled them out and put the limited slip in there.

Best decision ever: marrying Cathleen : best automotive decision ever: buying a brand new '83 CJ 7 Renegade (white w/ nutmeg hardtop): worst decision about anything, ever: trading it in 5 years later. Love your show Dennis!

I always thought the T5 transmission is good in a 1980s Mustang but far from a good transmission in any Jeep. Nothing but a SR4 with a overdrive. With a very loose shifter stick the more miles to looser the stick.
