Hey! Thinking about going back to school. I came across your video and the only word I came up with is WOW! I'm 50 so when I was in school I really never developed study skills. Seeing your videos helps me connect with my kinetic learning style. Major eye candy Alicia! lol Hugs from Michigan
Im currently in year 10 and have to start revising for mocks and i really enjoy your videos and theyre all ways super helpful!😊❤ Edit- writting this 2 years later. I will be doing my alevels this year😁. For my gcses i only failed 1 class and achieved 5s and 6s in all of my classes👍
Hi Alicia! I loved this video and was wondering if you could do a video on how you write your notes? They're so pretty and I would appreciate it how you do your headers, subtitles etc.
Watching this during the summer haha lol. But seriously, I love watching these videos because it helps me come uo with ways to help me learn. I can't really learn from flash cards if they have a lot of info. For physics I used flashcards but I kept them fun and colourful so i could remember. To revise for my French oral, I wrote the question on one side and the answer on the other. I stuck them all around the house, I wouldn't allow myself to enter a room unless I answered the question first
Wow.. I like your method and hand writing. 💕 Making flash cards right before the exam is a pain. Instead, do them daily when the topic is covered in the class. This will reduce the burden right before the exam and you can concentrate on preparing.
Just found your channel and love it for study/revision ideas for uni. Also good job and good luck with IB. I graduated from IB back in 2015 so I know how demanding it can be but it is so worth it in the end.
Alicia I saw your video 5 years ago and you have no idea how much it has changed my life! Thanks a lot for making this video, I am still using your methods 🥰
I saw the ones with a ring in a movie and thought it was a brilliant idea and here you are :) Thank you very much! I've never used this method before, I think it's just not a thing here but I wanted to use them precisely for chinese vocabulary and you even gave us a web for that! I've been thinking of a way to carry my notes all day so I'm going to try these out. Have a nice day!
violet yeah not everyone has to be “very smart” to be an IB student, they just put a lot of handwork, effort and prioritize their time properly. Just effective methods to study and get things done :)
HI! I'm a big fan of your videos as I myself, loves to make my notes organised and it really pays off when it comes to exams. Thanks to you, I'm thinking of beginning flashcards with studying. I was wondering where you bought the clear plastic folders that you use to keep your pages of notes in.
A lecture notebook is something you'll use in class to write down notes from a lecture or a powerpoint. A reviison notebook is your own revision device where you'll condense your class notes to make them easier to learn and process.
And also sometimes a lecture notebook includes more information and specifics about a topic.on the other hand a revision notebook has more "organized" information, key words etc.but that depends on you and how you learn better
Oh my gosh I'm so excited you did this video! I just looked up a few days ago "what are some good ways to use flashcards"--your video was right on time for my curiosity!
Oh my god all the topics you studied here were what we learned last year in 10th grade highschool, if you don't mind me asking where are you from and what grade did you learn these in?? The different education systems all over the world really intrigue me so I'd appreciate the answer!
Hey in my mums time when she was in Bangladesh it was rlly hard for even 1st grade a n students had some Mapuche pressure thst it was like they’re preparing for GCSES but with 50Subjects but ot was just DAILY HOMEWORK
Not to take away from your beautiful flashcards but I was wondering if you could link the BG music cuz I feel it was fire. p.s. I love the flashcard book it's so cute and the way you color coordinate the binding with the highlighting 🙌
the method i use to study is just cutting paper into flashcards write shz and once i feel confident i hand them out to the poor souls who forgot to study
I dont have flashcards does printerpaper work for the review books?? im assuming so so i might get started on those this week haha (even if they dont its all i have atm so ill just edit my comment later on how well printer paper worked out!)
You can use printerpaper! It just depends how thick the paper is. The normal 80/90 gsm paper is too thin, but everything above 120gsm is perfect for this job. Made my own flash cards and revision notebook with this method.
Yes... u can make flashcards from printerpapers... I've been using this printerpapers flashcards since 1 yr Maybe...and they are great...and also u can save money 😅
Hi. Just found your channel a few days ago and I think it is very useful as I am in my last year of IB. I am also doing chem HL so do u know if there is an online pdf of your textbook? And if so what is it called? The textbook that they provide at my school is a lot bigger and yours seem to have the concepts in a more concise way. Thank you very much!
OMG I just spent the last 2 years taking that class (idk if it’s the same as your school but our was broken up into 2 years for the [year 1 and year 2])I love that class (bio) definitely worth taking glad I took that class just before I graduated this year..now on the college 😁😬
Wow, where did you learn to write like that (the way you wrote your headers)? That handwriting is so gorgeous, it looks like printed font. I'd love to learn to write like that. Can you do a tutorial?
She is Australian, so I'd assume you could find them here. Try officeworks maybe? If not there, Woolies or Coles might have some (at least where I am they also sell stationary). Even Target or BigW too
