  • Join us as we begin an intermittent series called, "Ask Me Anything", where Pastor Jack will devote an entire episode to answering questions from listeners. Today's questions include how should we handle our feelings when our heart says one thing but God's Word suggests another? How should we handle adult children that are living in sin? What does it mean "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"?

    I have a personal story that for me proves Jack's point. Less than 48 hours before my mother passed she saw Christ physically appeared to her and told her her time had come and her passing would be hard but not to worry because when she did, he would be there waiting for her. She called for me to come to her bedside where she related this incredible event. This was on a Friday night. By Sunday morning she was dead

      I believe that molesting spirit from the abuser try’s keep you distorted. Trust Jesus to keep you from falling and to keep you from repeating same downfall. Believe, mature and grow in Jesus, he will give you the memory and strength to say no to evil. That evil will flee. ❤️

    I watched my mom and brother pass from this world and because they both had years before gave their hearts to Jesus, the room where they were dying was filled with so much peace that every person that came into the room felt it. My nephew gave his life to Christ after watching his father-in-law pass with such peace, he actually told us he was going home and he was happy to be going.

    On the outside looking in, I grew up in a “normal” family but to the contrary, it was anything but normal! My mother was the narcissistic head of the household and my daddy caved to her demands! I longed for approval from my daddy as a young girl growing up but never got that! He rarely spoke to me unless I was about to get a beating upon my mother’s nagging! I had very unhealthy ideas about male/female relationships so I married very young to get away from my mother! Satan worked his evil in my life as I sought affirmation from other males and it ended up wrecking my marriage! Praise God for His forgiveness and walking alongside me leading me in His ways, not mine! I have been happily married (second marriage) for 17 years and know he is my soul mate in every way! Would I do things differently now? You bet I would! Age has a way of making us wiser and praise God, I am ready to meet Him!🙌

    I was born in 1959. And tossed out like an old shoe. I was adopted by an alcoholic couple and at 9 months I was drinking Hot Toddys in my bottle to put .e to sleep. I drank alcohol frequently. And by the time I was 11 years old I was being molested by my "father". My mother used to cut .y hair into a little boys haircut, and weAring my brother's hand .e downs plus new boys clothes. At 12 I told my mother that I was going to let my hair grow. Father was still molesting me. By the time I was 13 I was 6 ft tall and slim. He was vetting more aggressive and I broke down crying. I jumped off his lap and he told me that if I told anyone that I would rehret it for the rest of my life. By the time I was 16, I couldn't deal with him anyonger. The next day when he went to work, I told my mother about it. Then I was off to school. I was beginning to wish that I was a boy. I felt like they had it easy compared to being a girl. When I got home from school, my key wouldn't work. Mom was always home, but not this day. All of theocks had been changed and the windows were shut tightly. I saw into my bedroom that everything I owned was packed. So, I have been on my own since the end of April, 1976. And I am so very happy that I am still a female. I am happy things in school were different back then. I love CCCH and Jacks podcasts. I am learning a lot from him. Thank God For Nack Hibbs. May our Lord and Savior keep us safe and healthy. In Jesus most precious name 🙏 AMEN

    I am a Christian mom of a married gay daughter. Her & I talked about “her feelings” starting at the age of 7. She says she was absolutely born this way. She was not molested in anyway. She did try living straight but couldn’t master it. She does attend a large church so that she blends in. She was raised in a Christian home but I can admit we were not perfect parents by any means. I have blamed myself for yrs over this & I cannot any longer. She is an adult & she has to surrender completely to Christ. We as parents have a great relationship w/her & love her very much but this is a huge thorn in our flesh & hers. She has told me that she wished she wasn’t gay. I know she feels a burden of guilt, I also know she tries to earn her way before God. I pray for a true salvation & Gods absolute truth to prevail over her heart & mind. I know no other Christian parent to talk w/about this walk we have walked for over 16 yrs. I don’t want my kid going to hell.

      I don’t mean to be insensitive but I am just posing a question from my ignorance. How can your daughter wish she wasn’t gay but enter into a marriage with a woman? Did the woman put a gun to her head? Don’t we all make choices even when tempted? For example, as a man I see beautiful women every day, often dresses provocatively. Do I have a choice to look away? Or do I have no choice but to force myself on her? I guess what I’m saying this as a man, I have to live with a lifelong temptation from women, but need to live a life of resistance to sin and submission to God. How is this different from resisting a gay life choice?

      We wear the same shoes @pizzagal197. I felt terrible guilt that I had failed my children and God because they've made decisions that go directly against what they know is true. All I can tell you is what the Lord has given me with regard to this situation in my life... He gave me peace and I no longer have that guilt of "failure". I raised my children with Jesus in the middle of my family. The Lord directed us to love them. Plain and simple, love them. Loving your daughter does not mean you condone her lifestyle, it means you love your daughter. "Love the sinner, hate the sin"... people like to use that when they're hyper focused one's sin. They can't love that person because their "hate for that sin" blinds them to the heart of that person. So, love your daughter no differently than if she were in a traditional relationship. Pray hard for her and for God to bring people across her path that will speak life and truth.
      When my son "came out" and moved out of state, my heart was crushed with the heaviness of it all. There is a lot more to his story that attributed to the weight of it, but this is yt... The Lord brought people to him to help in times of need who also spoke life and love into his life. We had religious folks, as I call them, tell us to disown our child until he repents. As a Believer, how does that make sense??? This is already too long of a comment, I will be praying for you and your daughter. They are deceived and our culture today keeps them blindfolded. But God...

      I am so very sad and sorry for both you and your daughter…My son is 45yr old and raised in a Christian home as well…met and married his wife and have been 13yrs married and last year told us they have decided to pursue other partners while maintaining the facade of marriage for the “children: 11 daughter/5yr old son” ; while they each date other people have relationships with others and come home and sleep in the same bed together even tho they have officially divorced. I am heartsick and can’t even share how icky all of this is…only Satan could invent these kind of lies and sinfulness…we are all under attack believers! Pray!pray, pray as never before.😢

      I have the same problem! I recently decided that I've had enough and started researching my problems.
      Two months ago I bought Adrenal complex(Thorne brand) off of Amazon, I take one in the morning and one at lunch. This is the best twenty bucks I've ever spent in my life! My life has really changed and I'm down to one morning joe and an ice tea at lunch and the rest of the day is water which I never dreamed that I could do because I've lived on caffeine for decades. I'll never feel twenty again but I don't feel eighty anymore either.
      I've been tested for tons of stuff but doctors rarely test for adrenal problems unless you're a specialist in this area and it's a shame. Everyone has stress and the adrenals take a hit all the time and if we don't learn to manage the stress or we are at the mercy of stuff that we can't change then the adrenals get taxed badly.
      My doctor told me once that if I don't start managing my stress that I would kill my adrenals and have to take shots for the rest of my life because if you stop producing adrenaline then you die. Hope this helps, have a blessed day!

    I hope you are still checking this for questions 🙏 I have 2 questions. 1) When do those Christians who are alive and are ruptured, in their living bodies, get their resurrected bodies? 2) Masculinity vs. femininity: I was, and still am, a bit of a tomboy. I would go dirt biking, motorcycle riding (my own bike, of course), caving, rappelling, tent camping, play Risk (and won), snow and water skiing, hunting. I never wore makeup. I converse better with guys, and had better guy friends than girl friends (too much gossiping and backstabbing). But after dirt biking at Easter time at my grandma's farm, I came back and got a double-take after I put on a dress for dinner. I also have a warrior heart, ready to fight in case of civil war or such. Am I not feminine enough? (Now I quilt, papercraft, and am trying - again - to crochet 🙃)

    • @Spudmuffinz
      @Spudmuffinz 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I can answer the first one easy, he even mentioned it in the podcast. You won't need a resurrected body because you never died if you were raptured before dying.
      1 thessalonians 4
      "17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
      Second scripture tells us that our bodies will be transformed into a sinless, glorified state immediately, just as those who are dead and reunited with thier bodies, glorified.
      1 corinthians 15
      "50 Behold, I tell you a [m]mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed- 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
      As for the second question, enjoying the outdoors and riding bikes isn't sin. But doing it to spite being a woman, or in a manner desiring to be a man and to reject the notion that you are a woman, would be. I know plenty of women (my mother included) who love the outdoors or sports or fishing or what have you, but are incredibly feminine. Hope this helps!

      @@Spudmuffinz Your body is changed in an instant we can't enter eternity in the same body we are in right now. Paul addresses this also in 1 Corinthians 15.

      @rhondahart2416 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      You get your new body instantly , it says it in the passage also Paul addresses this in 1 Corinthians 15.
      I am like you I like tomboy things at times but I have feminine qualities also. When I was young I wanted to be a boy so badly because I thought it was so much more fun, this was also partly my parents fault because all they ever said is if you were a boy you could do these things, that is not something to say to a kid. Everyone has different levels of femininity or masculinity. I have my own tools, that are not pink and try to do things around the house because I find it interesting. My husband is an engineer and doesn't like DIY so he says go for it. There are many men attracted to a strong woman that doesn't shy away from doing difficult things. I don't think Jack is implying that we shouldn't learn to drive or work or other things attributed to men or he shouldn't be anyway.

      @rhondahart2416 @Spudmuffinz Thank you 😊 Spud (from Idaho?) and Rhonda. I hadn't caught that "everyone will be changed" as relating to rapture before, even though I've read that many times. 😳 I loved being a "pioneer woman" in a modern body. I know I have a survivor's attitude and heart, as well as warrior. I run through scenarios in my mind of what our future will hold prior to the rapture; it will be pretty rough as our country completely disintegrates because of enemies within as well as outside forces. Now if my body can just keep up! Haha 😄
      Rhonda, I love your DIY'ing, and your separate tools! 😃👍🏻I'd love to have separate tools (cammo, cobalt blue, or red) so, just maybe, my husband won't walk off with the duplicate tools we keep handy in the house! 😄

      GreR question. My sister is a Catholic and her best friend who was a Baptist has been going ti the Catholic church with her. She is going to convert. So many think all Christians are Catholic. Even in media on conservative news. They are all Catholic.

    Good morning Pastor Jack, thank you so much for this podcast. Spot on about not really being God Fearing when choosing a homosexual lifestyle. Our family is dealing with a daughter that has decided to follow her feelings after struggling with them for 10 years, ages 17 to 27. We are a Born again, Christian, Bible believing family. I used to be so grateful to God that all of my family loved and served God only to find out that my adult single adult child is walking in deception. To justify her decision to follow through with her confused feelings, she now says that homosexuality was never an abomination to God, but the writers of the King James version changed the Word of God for political reasons at the time. I have sent her the proof that God's Word is still as He wrote it then and now(research on the Dead Sea Scrolls) and that He watches over His Word to perform it. We are praying that God will bring her back into the fold of His sheep and our family.

    I agree that quieting your mind is founded on scripture. I memorize the Psalm from the year of my life every year. I recite my verses to the Lord on my way to work and when my mind gets racing. I have ear ringing too - for some it's static some it's ringing - mine is more like putting my ear to a sea shell. I'll have to try niacin. Thank you!

    thank you Pastor Jack! The very first question was the one I needed - a friend and fellow Believer asked me how it was possible to read the "Absent from the body/present with the Lord" but then also believe 1 Thes 4 scripture about "the dead in Christ will rise first" - I was stumped because I simply KNOW that HIS word is true.... THANK YOU for answering this for me - I have already shared it with him.

      Maybe you didn’t understand what I meant.
      It has been my experience that when people see something and other people start talking about it that’s what makes it true to them. That’s what I meant. By the statement. “Things don’t have to be true. They just have to be said.”
      Of course everything that is said on that station I wanted it to be true because it’s from God’s word
      I’m talking about people and their perception .
      Social media app approves this over and over again . perceptions all they go by.
