1. Karna was assumed as a Sutputra(born of mixed race/varna) not Shudra
2. When Draupadi was bought into Hastinapur sabha and was insulted Vikarna among Kaurava Brothers and Vidura protested and argued to save Draupadi's honor at beginning. But they were silenced.

What makes me the happiest is that she so beautifully but with conviction cleared all the misconceptions people have about Mahabharata and its characters, Draupadi never insulted Duryodhan but the highly dramatised television versions always depict this in such a massy manner that it irks me and also the perfect representation of Karna, he was a great warrior but he certainly wasn't a good man, He deliberately instigated Duryodhana and Dushashana to disrobe Draupadi. He even insulted her, but all these television shows depict him as a nobleman who was righteous and revered he may have had a few good characteristics but he wasn't all sunshine and people need to understand that. The Brahmanas, whose desires were entirely satisfied, gave the two names."Because of his great courage and because he has been born from lustre, let this son of Drupada be called Dhrishtadyumna. 25 Became she is dark in complexion, let her be called Krishna." Thus Drupada's twin children were born from the great sacrifice. Bharadvaja's powerful son took the Panchala prince Dhrishtadyumna to his own house and taught him the use of all weapons. Thus did the illustrious Drona ensure that his own deeds would become famous, because the immensely wise one knew that what was destined would come to be."

As per All Recensions of Original Mahabharat
1) Karna Was unable to lift the bow.
2)Karna was the assumed to be son of A Suta, Meaning, born of Brahman and Kshatriya or Vaishya.
Please don't add the regional folklores and fake rumours so to make it sound good...

Karna actually lift the bow there are several phrases where it states he lift the bow
Mata Draupadi didn't said Andhe ka Putra Andha to Duryodhan.She wasn't present at that moment when this incident happened.Only Pandavs were there.She was in the inner quarters.Actually In 14th century, a tamil author “Villiputurār” mentioned this interpolation or fake incident of Draupadi laughing at Duryodhana in his book Villipparatam just to make the story more spicy.
In the year 1954, an individual named Dharmaveer Bharti who used to publish a magazin titled “Dharm Yug” in his play titled as “Andha Yug” published in the magazine, for the first time mentioned the phrase Andhe Kā Putra Andhā.
In the year 1965 Bollywood Movie Mahabharat showed the scene in which Draupadi addressed Duryodhana with that phrase.They showed this interpolation just to make the story more spicy and eye catchy.
From this Play and especially this movie..Many TV serial, book writers, blog writers and TV serial producers took inspiration and publicised this interpolation.
Even what you have seen in New Mahabharat that Mata Draupadi told Samrat Yuddhisthir to take the weapons of Duryodhan and others was also a fictional story but not a reality.

What about Yudhishthir and Draupadi?
See brother, Mahabharat is not a simple epic to read and understand, you need to understand it's essence with different perspective..That being said, Yudhishthir was not evil minded, he never did anything wrong to anybody with personal intention. The only problem with yudhishthir was he was too dharmik and that created lot of problems, else he was excellent administrator.
Coming to draupadi, she is the only character in Mahabharata, whom if you study carefully, will make blood to flow from your eyes. She did not do anything wrong, but she faced sooooooo many problems in entire story. I feel pity for her. Kindly do not point fingers at her atleast, please read the original script of Mahabharata and feel it.

I am really sorry but I am not getting the title of the video. Don't get me wrong, i loved the video and content of it. But how could it be titled as "draupadi loved karna?" I just feel it's very misleading. I do understand that you being a content creator want the title to be catchy and for sure it was catchy and gave you a lot of views. But someone might just see the title and assume that draupadi loved karna without watching the video. That's why I would request you guys to not make such a misleading titles and apart from that really love your content guys.
Suta is not Shudra. It is a breed of brahmin and kshatriya. According to old manuscripts, Karna failed in Draupadi"s Swayamwar. He missed the target. Draupadi never insulted Karna. She also didn't insult Duryodhana.

In my class 7 Hindi textbook Bal Mahabharat Katha I read in the Draupadi Swayamvar episode that when karna was about to lift the bow and attach the bow string then suddenly the bow shaft slipped from his hands and fell on his face for which his lip was wounded and started bleeding.

Thank You for the video 🙏 Excelent presentation of the brief important life events of Draupadi. Though one should also understand that almost every main character in Mahabharata maybe from Shantanu, Satyavati, each events associated with there life are important for us to understand. Eg. there is a question in Mahabharata epic who suffered the most, was it Bhishma, Karna, Vidura, Kunti. Karna was given a chnace to change sides by Sri Krishna Himself. Though He knew the future, the past etc. still why was Karna given a chance? The second thing Krishna & Arjuna had to fight with Karna in that present eon. That was the last birth of Karna. It was said by Krishna to first understand Sri Rama completely & then try to understand Him. But when we read Mahabharata we slowly understand the characters of Ramayana. Maybe that was the reason Vyasa Maharishi wanted Sri Ganesha to write this great epic, the God of profound wisdom, intelligence & knowledge.

The third Pandava prince Arjuna was Karna's peer and equal…There are two reasons why he doesn’t kill Bheema, despite having all the options to do so. 1. Karna has given his word to Kunti, that his 5 sons will remain alive. If he kills Bheema, he can’t kill Arjuna. 2. If Karna kills Bheema, he would do injustice to Draupadi’s unstrangled hair. Draupadi has taken a vow that until and unless someone brings the blood of Dussasana’s heart and wets her hair, she will never tie her hair. Bheema has made a vow that he will kill Dussasana and bring his hearts blood to Draupadi. If he kills Bheema in this battle, he will do injustice to Draupadi.
There is another legend which says that its Karna who prevented the cheerharan of Draupadi by Vasuki . Vasuki could only be pacified by the eldest Kunti-putra (Karna).

As above highlighted, it is clear that Karna attends Draupadi’s Swayamvar along with other kings including Duryodhana, Durvisaha, Durmukha, etc.
This means that Karna is invited in the Swayamvar. It also indicates that Drupada (Draupadi’s father) does not consider Karna unqualified for the Swayamvar.

Karna himself called his charioteer as ‘son of charioteer’ means Sut Putra on 11th day when he first joined the battle after Bhisma’s Fall.
“Bring my victorious and golden standard, with the complexion of a lotus and bearing the marks of a victorious and healthy elephant. Have it cleaned with an excellent garment and decorate it with colourful garlands and nets. Bring swift and white horses that have the hue of the clouds. They should be well-fed and bathed in water from golden pots, and sanctified with mantras. They should possess golden harnesses. O son of a charioteer! Quickly. Quickly.”

Duryodhana also addressed Karna as son of Suta -
“Duryodhana replied, ‘O Karna! I will do everything that you have thought of. O son of a suta! Chariots, with implements and horses, will follow you. There will be many carts, bearing iron arrows tufted with the feathers of vultures.”

The point what we failed to understand that Duryodhana was in need of an archer and he believed Karna originally belongs to Kshatriya lineage and not in ‘Suta’ lineage and in fact in process he shamelessly compared a Suta mother with a doe!!

Had Karna not been a deserving person, the descendant of the Bhrigu lineage would not have given him those celestial weapons. I therefore think that Karna cannot have been born in the lineage of a suta. I think that he is the son of a god, born in the lineage of kshatriyas. The maharatha is long in his arms and possessed earrings and armour. How can a doe give birth to such a tiger?”

In fact Duryodhana openly said the same thing in Rangabhoomi too in front of Karna but in the joy of becoming a Kshatriya (as kingdom of Anga bestowed by Duryodhana), he just ignored how badly Duryodhana compared a Suta mother with a doe.
It’s Sanjaya who used Son of Suta for Karna a number of times while narrating the story to King Dritarastra. While Dritarastra himself addressed Karna as son of Suta multiple times as well as Sanjaya as well.
So Son of Suta tag is used by many characters in Mahabharata.

Karna’s strength was not superior to Arjuna’s strength and the greatest proof is of Droupadi Svayamvar, where only Arjuna was able to strung the bow and shoot from the bow where warriors like Karna, Duryodhana, Bhagadatta, etc failed.
Citation :
"Then, one after another, those kings exhibited their valour for Krishna. But the bow was so strong that with all their strength, they could not string it. The firm wood of the bow recoiled and flung those brave rulers of men on the ground. They failed in their desire and could be seen on the ground, miserable and broken in spirit. That firm bow caused them pain and shattered their bracelets and earrings. Having lost hopes of obtaining Krishna, that assembly of kings was crestfallen. In that assembly, those kings who boasted of noble birth then became objects of derision. Kunti’s brave son Jishnu then arose, wishing to string the bow and place an arrow on it.’ Vaishampayana said, ‘When all the kings gave up attempting to string the bow, the great-souled Jishnu arose from among the Brahmanas."

Karna didn't fail, he wasn't allowed to take part by Draupadi. and theres probably a reason why that happened because if karna was allowed to take part he might have actually completed the task we don't know.

As above highlighted, it is clear that Karna attends Draupadi’s Swayamvar along with other kings including Duryodhana, Durvisaha, Durmukha, etc.
This means that Karna is invited in the Swayamvar. It also indicates that Drupada (Draupadi’s father) does not consider Karna unqualified for the Swayamvar.

यदा निवृत्ता राजानो धनुषः सज्यकर्मणि |

In this section, Vaishampayana says that Jishnu (or Arjuna) get up from the group of Brahmanas to take part in Draupadi’s Swayamvar when all the kings gave up and failed in the task.
Now section 177 says that Karna was among the participants (kings) & section 179 says that all the kings failed in the task. It clearly indicates that Karna also failed in the task as he is one of the kings.
Later on,
यत्कर्णशल्यप्रमुखैः पार्थिवैर्लोकविश्रुतैः |
नानतं बलवद्भिर्हि धनुर्वेदपरायणैः ||४||
तत्कथं त्वकृतास्त्रेण प्राणतो दुर्बलीयसा |
बटुमात्रेण शक्यं हि सज्यं कर्तुं धनुर्द्विजाः ||५||
It means that if kings like Karna and Shalya who are world famous and well versed in the Dhanur Vidya (archery skills) failed in the task, then how this weak Brahmin (referring to Arjuna) who has no knowledge of weapons succeed in the test?

Conclusion - Whether Draupadi rejects Karna or not:
From the above discussion, we can conclude that Karna participated in Draupadi’s Swayamvar and failed in the task.
It further establishes the fact that if Karna failed in the task, then there is no point of Draupadi rejecting him saying that he is a Sutaputra.
Now again a question arises that if this is the case that why all the popular versions of Mahabharata & T.V. shows like the famous B.R. Chopra’s Mahabharat or its recent 2013 remake on Star Plus named Mahabharat sticks to the popular storyline?
One answer could be the mindset of the audience.
Our audience is familiar with the popular version of the story in which Draupadi rejects Karna. They do not want to mess with it for the sake of authenticity.
Another reason could be due to TRP (Television Rating Point).
Because if Draupadi does not reject Karna, then people do not sympathise with Karna. Also, there would be less drama which is bad for makers of the TV show as, without drama, it is very difficult to keep the audience engaged.
@@daredevil2999Vishnu Sitaram Sukthankar, General Editor of BORI disclosed that Draupadi’s rejection was found only in 6 out of 1259 Sanskrit manuscripts. The ones which contained the rejection were relatively newer and inserted evidently after the work of Vyasa (author of Mahabharata).
