You showed tremendous integrity by standing up against predatory microtransactions. Far too many people just accept the rampant greed that is slowly killing the gaming industry as a whole. I know it doesn't mean much, but thank you for what you did.
It is corpo doing corpo things. Doesn't matter to them if they sell cars, processed food or games.
As long as they can get away with it they will cut corners. And while some products start killing the user, games can practically be as shit as they want, with chinese mobile garbage being the current lowpoint in quality.
Some filth cannot be cleansed by "voting with your wallet", especially since one thinking mans vote stands against god knows how many sad, chinese drone consumers (not calling those addicts gamers).

Ah man, this sucks. I joined back when AOE4 started and you wanted to jump into the content creation scene to create beginner friendly content for AOE4. It was awesome and I really felt like I had joined a soon-to-be successful and thriving community nice and early.
I've really enjoyed commenting about my experience with AOE3 and drawing the comparisons for you between it and AOE4, and I think you've found that interesting every time, seeing the source and inspiration for the fun stuff the devs made for AOE4. Contributing like this, supporting you and being a part of your community has been really fun.
It's been an amazing journey, and honestly, I think you have been a success here on TH-cam. It's been a tumultuous ride, but mate, your content has been great and you should be proud of what you have accomplished. Sure, it ends on this sour note, but don't look at the finale to judge the journey - this is but a drop in the whole story of Age of Noob and it's been a great story.
I'm looking forward to keeping in touch with you on Gamenoob. It's a channel that's designed for your own thoughts, and much less bound by the contracts that this channel kept you in. I hope you feel more free, more open and more creative on Gamenoob than you ever did here. Keep your head up Noob, because you're a creative guy with a passion that most people don't have. @@CptSquirrel If he has proof of the actions of some individuals/any of the companies as a whole or parties internal to them, then he can present it. If by some chance it gives detailed information on something that he agreed to keep hidden, then I would think just BLACK those out & continue.
If it's just a direct reveal of things that were said or done & it was provided as a perspective/opinion piece it largely should be fine. Since in-essence, that's what his first two videoes were. It probably would be best to start the process so that those 2 videoes could be used as evidence of the order of things too, since most of us didn't get to watch them - that would also be a nice benefit.
At the same time, whoever airs it gets their lives destroyed. Imagine if people like Viper, T90, Hera and the others would voice this. Microsoft would dunk on them.

Running a youtube channel is a labour-intensive project at the best of times, so I can't imagine keeping up the motivation while also dealing with behind-the-scenes drama. Thankfully I tend to keep to my own little nook so I've been able to avoid that myself haha

Let's be honest here! This whole RTS franchise is endangered nowadays and we are dealing with around 20k ppl in my favorite game age4. It's dying and still they manage to ban somebody like you. Your videos surely made ppl come back to age of empires or inspired them to play it.... Fuck mobile games, especially those with loot box bs.
THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THEY LOST BY YOU TELLING THE TRUTH AND WHAT IS RIGHT IS NOT EVEN HALF AS MUCH AS THEY ARE LOSING BY LOSING YOU AS A CONTENT CREATOR in the long run !!!!
I was watching every single video once it's online and learned a ton of information. Have my daddy duty and was not playing for 2 months but a video with all those beautiful detail would make me play again.
It's sad how they earn more by scamming mobile kids in those days.

I think you greatly underestimate what small creators make in YT and how much made with mobile f2p games...
Mobile gaming makes more money than ALL of PC and console gaming combined. They know where the money is I'm afraid.
Do you mean monthly active players or 20k concurrent players? 20k concurrent is like Top 50 on Steam most days. Age of Empires 2 is usually close to that and more alive than ever. Not dying just niche. Even Palworld dropped to around 10k and it's far from Dying

What is this BS that if you don't like one of their games, they remove you? I swear video game companies these days, they treat CCs, or the smaller ones as not important as compared to big ones.
I've come to your channel 4-5 years ago. Especially during the AOEIV release. You created a brilliant channel with AOE. There are very few content creators like you that made unique content on this.
It sucks, but I hope you move onto better pastures.

@@alejandrocanelo3058 even if he does, how can anyone defend age of empires mobile? It’s not age of empires, it’s a clone copy of all the cheap rip offs of stragety game clone. Instead of remaking AOE into something unique, which is playing Age of Empires to mobile, we got some Clash of Clans etc.

Common thing in the game industry, they'll cut your insider early access and partner status if you don't continue giving a positive lens on their content. This has plagued some communities which has lead to years and years of shit content receiving praise from the media creators (such as Total War franchise, or Paradox Interactive games). Its an ugly cycle that weeds out those with integrity

Indeed a pretty horrible situation, a fatality, your content was always top notch. Would have been best to simply ignore the mobile game instead of lifting flags against it, since it appeals to a completely different audience, and the general AoE player would not have much interest into that. And like many examples in the industry, mobile games that come as spin-offs from some real games tend to flop pretty often.
I was so fortunate to find you back then, when AoE IV did not even exist, and I just wanted to learn how to be a better AoE II player. Then every AoE IV video was greatly appreciated these past few years.
Regardless, you did what was right for you, that is what matters in the end. I'll still be hanging around Gamenoob, best hopes for your next project, but frankly I already now that you have everything to keep making these great videos as always!

Age of Empires community has always been one that has been so supportive and amazing. This is a dark chapter a very dark chapter indeed. Shame on everyone involved in these decisions. Shame on everyone who decided using the brand Age of Empires for evil. Those who don't support Age of Noob have never been and will never be Age of Empires fans. As someone who has grown up and born with Age of Empires for my entire life and whose favourite game is Age of Empires. Shame on Microsoft shame on the community who supports this. I've been distancing myself for a time because I can tell the dark and toxic community Age of Empires is falling into but Age of Empires has always been for the last 25 years a beautiful community and it's a shame to see the new people coming into it who are toxic and destroyers of such a peaceful and loving community.
